  1. Now that the Fw 190 D9 seems to be fixed with new valve springs, it seems that the sagged ones are put into the Kurfürst. Max. continuous power at 2400rpm/1.35ATA is fine When power is set to 2600rpm/1.45ATA you actually loose speed and the engine shows vibrations/signs of detonation. Max power at 2800rpm/1.78ATA, also vibrations/signs of detonation and significantly slower than in previous DCS OB version. Trk and Tacview testflight at SL, 15°C, 760mm/HG, No wind Tacview: Start till approx. 05:02:08 2400rpm/1.35ATA -> Speed ~527km/h From 05:02:14 powersetting 2600rpm/1.45ATA -> speed drops slowly to 521km/h At 05:03:48 power to idle to loose some speed, then back to 2600rpm/1.45ATA -> after one minute steady 518km/h At 05:05:03 2800rpm/1.78ATA MW50, stabilize at 567km/h.   5. Why does the sheet say MW-Abschaltung at 7.4km, if it would be benefitial to keep MW at and/or above this altitude? I saw a excerpt of a 109 manual that stated, switch off MW above 7.8km, as there is no gain, just useless burning of MW-Stoff. When I find it, I'll post it. EDIT: I found something for the DB 605 ASM in the G-14. There it is stated, that MW is useable up to 8.5km. For the DB 605 AM it is 6km. Above that altitude the MW system has to be switched off, as it has no benefit, but still burns the MW. MW50 is 49.5% for cooling, 0.5% to prevent corrosion. But also 50% to "level up" the bad B4 fuel and thus increase its octane number to prevent detonations in the engine because of the high ATA. Hence, in this case, it doesn't make sense to use it above altitudes, where the supercharger can't supply more than combat power pressure, and not as I stated before, already at FTH. Fox
  6. I tested the DCS K4 on current OB. 15°C, 760mm/hg Interestingly MW50 still adds power when in reality it shouldn't above 7.4km. I tested the speeds at some altitudes twice, so there are two colours per powersetting. The worst discrepancy is about -2.8%, but c It appears that this DB605DB's supercharger was built on a monday.   8. 30°C is quite hot, it has an impact on performance. I have two Mustang manuals, but none of then has a OAT limitation envelope. So one has to reduce power to stay within coolant and oil temperature limits. With continuous power the temperatures stay in limits. So I would not put that heavy load on the Mustang. HVAR and Bombs is too much, unless you accept very low rate of climbs at 30°C at cont. power. I switched to other aircraft in your mission. The Spitfire gets also hot, but there the Oil temperature is the problem, coolant seems to be okay. The K4 with a 500kg bomb flies fine at Sonder-Notleistung, but perhaps MW50 helps here to cool the engine. Same for the Dora. So for now, you can only reduce power, to stay in temperature limits at high OAT. Is the Mustangs temperature behaviour correctly represented in DCS? I don't know. Fox

Let's take the biggest presented range of 2Hz - 20Hz per stimulus element. Bf109K4 gear-ratio 1:1.685. 3 blades mean 3 stimulus elements per 1 rotation. -> 2/3Hz - 20/3Hz Range -> Propeller RPM: 40 - 400 -> Engine RPM: 67,4 - 674 So when the engine is above 674RPM(maybe a few more, but not significantly more RPM), this effect is -according to your sources- not visible anymore: "As the frequency of stimulus element presentation continued to increase, these alternations persist until the velocity of the stimulus elements became too great to see them clearly, at which point reversals were no longer evident" (I simplified it a bit, as the blade-tips get blurried quicker than the blade-root, but I don't think this changes the whole situation) Fox

  13. Thank you, I'm perfectly aware that I have to buy the module, when it comes out, as I have bought all other WWII modules :doh: The point is, there was no entry for the Me262 for years. This entry just appeared on my backer page and now disappeared, even the other non-selected aircraft disappeared(now only the D9 and K4 are shown). That's the point. This fueled my hope, that a release is not years ahead, but maybe within a year or so. Fox

  15. You merged two threads, both having problems with the propellor, but still different topics. One is about pop damage, the other about the general appearance of popeller textures in game. Perhaps this video makes it clear. Yes it is in recorded in VR with motion reprojection (45fps), but this behaviour appears on flat screen with 100fps+ also. Fox

  17. Hm bissl mehr Phantasie QuiGon! Na man könnte z.B., so wie Felix und sein Kumpel es schon gemacht haben, nebeneinander fliegen. Dann die Geschwindigkeiten, die die Flieger anzeigen, notieren(Screenshot mit ingame Zeit) und anschließend mit Tacview vergleichen. So sieht man, welcher Flieger wie weit vom korrekten Wert abweicht. Manche MP server erlauben die Anzeige in der Leiste nicht. Wie kommst du darauf, das Tacview weniger genau anzeigt? Fox

  21. Negative. The error is on your side. Press RALT+ENTER to see the controls indicator. There you will see, that your left brake is already over zero position. Whatever you use as your left brake axis, that is causing your trouble. You could try to increase the deadzone of this axis. Fox
