8 numbered and 1 Generic F35B of 13 Sqn Italian Navy - for Its Cavour. There is a little stretching on the textures so I have modifed the placement to remove as much of that as I can - Pilots shoulder patches added, but you cant really see them !! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/r926kuseny2xcnuntu9wi/CrazyEddies-F35B-Its-Cavour.zip?rlkey=ggeiwq35hrxmbo47sf0yidebt&st=69qxv6yo&dl=0

I dont use the F35 myself any more, send me an imagoe of the sort of thing you are after and I'll see what I can do. Which version of the VSN Aircraft are you guys using now, its so long since I looked at this I have no idea which versions work now ?

a29b_stores.dds and a29B_stores_spec.dds Its VERY high gloss compared to the aircraft so matching it tone for tone is difficult.

If its not showing up - In the entry.lua, looks for the shapes line and remove the / after the word Shapes/ It should look like this: mount_vfs_model_path (current_mod_path.."/Shapes") -

Some cosmetic changes to my original USS Forrestal fictional UK style liveries, slightly different warning hatching around lifts and other moving parts on the deck. 2 version of each livery - one with the lifts raised and one with them all down - you can pick and chose the lifts you want up or down - see the description lua and I have shown how that can be done. If you prefer the older original style in the liveries mod I posted much earlier dont use these. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/k91bhcfrbtvuo2umdo7wl/CrazyEddies-Liveries-for-USS-Forrestal.zip?rlkey=4mgu1iecwyrbgcfsrjkw7xtbm&st=17p0cquq&dl=0

Caribou, C-123K and An-12 AI Mods
crazyeddie replied to walrusw's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Western - A question for you, and anyone else who might have an answer. The description.lua for this aircraft, based on the actual edm I present to ModelViewer, does not show any need for a RoughMet texture, so do you actually need one ? I have never understood why that might work - if its not listed in the description logic tells me mod will not see it even if you create one. Or am I missing something ? -
MV22 COD of VRM-50 and a Fictional Royal Navy Livery with a Staic and a Flying option - I dont think the RN will ever buy these. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/e0h9sn93u7w2b5q2cncqx/MV22-CRM-50.zip?rlkey=d6hll8dh8cn8xjpnuivdb4uks&st=v31y1gjq&dl=0

A personal rework of the MV22 skin - in VRC-30 COD Livery with new interior. This isnt an MV22B - So its not an exact match, but close enough to present images that I could find less all the COD bits !! I hated the interior and decided to hack the existing C-130 interior and put that in its place, again not even a close match, but better than what was there. You cant actually see much of it anyway, so this will do. I have tried to get the panel lines a bit better than exuisting liveries, that took some time !! In the livery folder you will find 2 blank skins, one grey and one white/grey - so have a go yourself and see what you can make with it - feel free to do whatever you want with my stuff. If you want to create a parked version with the doors open and the blades foled there is another description.lua in there to do that, you will omly have to remove the first 2 words.! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/dk10obhpuea26exnuh8xy/CrazyEddies-MV22B-COD-VRC-30.zip?rlkey=4e7o235tp5e575nig5ialvk6j&st=plzr7tsc&dl=0

What are all these Backup folders ?
crazyeddie replied to GrEaSeLiTeNiN's topic in Installation Problems
I was about 80gb short of space for this last update, I looked to see what I could get rid of safely and the backups were more than enough, so I deleted them. I had backups going back a long way, I have run this game since it's inceptions - so quite a lot !! The previous large update I deleted a couple of maps and a couple of aircraft that I never use and that allowed me to run that update - its all small margins, thats all. I was not sure if those backups were related to reverting versions though, hence my question above. I have reverted my game in the past for various reasons and I decided to take the plunge, if I lose them I lose them, I can always reinstal the game from scratch if I have to, that was my thinking. Small margins ! -

crazyeddie replied to GrEaSeLiTeNiN's topic in Installation Problems
Am I right in thinking if you wanted to roll back to a specific version you would need these folders to be able to do it ? Personaly I had to delete all of them for the last update, it was the only way I could make enough space to allow that huge download. -
Update is 200GB (!), but only 150GB free space is left
crazyeddie replied to Mik75's topic in Installation Problems
I appreciate the argument about long periods of stability, but some of us live in very rural areas with poor internet speeds so these huge downloads can take a whole day. I have decent rig but poor internet so for this one I'm half way through and it will finish some time during the night, I wont be losing any sleep over it but i still preferred the more frequent smaller downloads. I had to dump some maps and some aircraft foe the last big one (not a big issue for me) so this time I had to delete all of the saved updates in the core game, that released enough to get this one to download - if it keeps on like this we are going to need 2tb drives just for the game. Personally I use my PC for many other things so I pity guys who cant afford larger drives etc etc. -

crazyeddie replied to Mik75's topic in Installation Problems
There was a time not long ago when we got very regular smaller downloads - now all we get are HUGE downloads that take hours and you have to delete maps or something to make space for it - this is not the way to do it guys !! -
Royal Navy Type 42 Batch 3 destroyer
crazyeddie replied to Oban's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
That Leander is wrong, no nav lights above the main nav lights on any ship in any Navy, Rules of the Sea etc etc. I did look it up just to be sure. That said nobody will know one way or the otherr I dont suppose. The white light combination on it is okay though, there are many combinations of lights they can use. The problem is its just a game and you cant model every variation on the lights theme the way the game is so go for what you prefer mate, only old bu**ers like me will notice crap like that - - it's what I was put on this earth for Ha Ha !! -
Royal Navy Type 42 Batch 3 destroyer
crazyeddie replied to Oban's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Technical Points - At sea the flight deck floodlighting would probably be red light if at, or going to, flying stations with no white light anywhereb else - preserving night vision for the deck crews - only white light if no flying and the port and stbd walkways were also lit up, or they were playing deck hockey at night !! (True - bloody silly but great fun !!) I'm looking at those port and stbd light on the masts, I cant seem to remember there being any nav lights up there, my ancient mariner memory is a bit vague on that though. (Off to look that up just to prove myself wrong !!) Looking nice mate, good to see you back in the frame. Late Edit - The lights on the masts should only be either white or yellow lights, depending on what the ship is doing - there are no nav lights that high up, it could only cause confusion to other ships, ie, if you can see a green light ahead of you that ship is moving left to right, red light its moving right to left. If youcan see a green on the left and a red on the right its coming towards you, other way around its going away from you. White light at the stern, white or possibly a red light on top of the mast. Just to add to the confusion if there are several other combinations of lights up there that could indicate any number of different things - a ship trawling nets etc etc etc etc. I would stick to port and stbd standard lights in the usual places just under on close to the bridge, rear white light and red floodlights for the flight deck, that should cover any eventuality !!!! -
Thanks Max, they are aware of an issue. I think this is the Mod I got it from : Or try this one: https://www.mediafire.com/file/8ribjb9cyrvvymx/MOD_HELICOPTERE_SERIES_JSGME_2.8.1.7z/file
-
Thats a different Mod - these liveries are for the MOD HELICOPTER E SERIES JSGME 2.8..1.7.zip by the Cuesta Brothers, it has several helo's in it but I only use this one. I have not done anything for any of the others. I cant find it right now - I have only been able to get into this forum twice in the last 8 hours - and usually only for a few minutes at a time - it keeps telling me Too Many Connections !!!!!

Small collection of new and updated liveries for the Helicopter Mod 2.8.1.7. The UK Defence Helicopter Flying School use a version of the As350 but not this version, so I cant add the name along the side of the doors, there are windows in the way. Pack contains an updated version of the French Naval Helo, new roundel, panel markings. Also a number of blank versions to do with as you wish. Correction to Pack - Forgot to add in the parked versions, new link below. There are a couple of small texture errors in this pack, textures I could not find in the original folder, the mirrors on the nose will always be white, and I could not find the badge on the hat either, but not all that noticable really. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pektv6gc7ilbpl8lvh98j/CrazyEddies-Liverties-ECUREUIL-As350.zip?rlkey=3ckzfp6lzqnd6e5hdbp5c11xv&st=zrerwueu&dl=0

I added a number of concrete type slabs to my Misc Liveries pack for Massun's Stuff that is now included in the core game files. Its under the LHD_LHA option, they are drop downs in the ME. I included a couple of blanks that you could also use, feel free to do with them as you wish. HOWEVER - As everyone has said 'dust' is universal, its part of the game. I dont know of any way to hide it, unles there is a mod to reduce it in some way, that might be an option, but not one I know of. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/1i99bfzevs37h724ngmyn/CrazyEddies-Misc-Liveries-Pack..zip?rlkey=so7ymqgqa5oe5ib42degbeypi&st=0u2fcjss&dl=0

A collection of old F-86 Liveries that I made a long time ago, as far as I know they all still work. There are better versions of some of the US Skins in here, if you already have those stick with them, they are much better than mine. The RCAF Camo (Carte Blanche) skin is an actual NATO Germany exercise skin from the 1960' or 70's. You would not believe how long it took me to get that right, it turned me into the shambling wreck of a man I now am !! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0bo2iybnphxx0e8fqbaaj/CrazyEddies-F-86-Liveries.zip?rlkey=p9f0rp89vcyh7cntlwp0u1kzb&st=xbt12dw6&dl=0

My small collection of UK OV-190 Bronco Liveries - All fictional of course, just a bit of fun for this wee aircraft - I love it. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pjxzpzwf0y607ho1kgi3a/CrazyEddies-OV10-Bronco-UK-Liveries.zip?rlkey=1gkoxzb3py4lxip3te3nmzoww&st=k4i2rfot&dl=0

My small collection of C-130 and KC-130 Liveries. I did these a LONG time ago so if I have included anything that belongs to somebody else I appologise in advance, I do not want to claim anyone elses thunder, let me know and I will remove it. You will find duplicated copies of some liveries marked as Ramp - These are static aircraft to place on the ramp with doors and rear ramp open. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/guv0z7uhguditnudh54q7/CrazyEddies-C-130-Livery-pack.zip?rlkey=bi4jk5453o8i5s4foncrouooa&st=4dazsqj4&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xfe34zx2os53b5oewrxjx/CrazyEddies-KC-130-LiveryPack.zip?rlkey=j49rmctagh4smx3j9k6ytwyyk&st=y9pzgzg2&dl=0

DCS Hawk - UK Liveries Pack. A small collection of mainly fictional skins for the Hawk. Unlike the VNAO T45 Goshawk the ED Hawk has 5 pylon positions, which is why I use it in preference to the T45 - The T45 is an excellent Mod but it only has 2 pylon positions. I have also included my JSGME Fix to add some more weapons to those pylons - If you dont know how to use JSGME or you use some other mod please read the instructions in the main DCS Forums and learn how to use them before you add this new lua. If you do add my lua directly into the main game CoreMods folder every time the game updates it will be removed and replaced by the original DCS one. So you have to use one of the mods that are available, your choice which one you use, my mod can be easily adapted. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/r3rztv404yq2run1pn2u6/CrazyEddies-DCS-Hawk-UK-Liveries.zip?rlkey=1fz3x0km3vhg8vhq5ttxz4bk9&st=09qbg2o3&dl=0

Admirals Pilot Boat Liveries: It doeasnt look like Admiral is going to update his Mod so I am issuing a new link to my modification of the Liveries: These liveries will only work with his original edm, if he issues an updated version of his Mod it is likely they will not work with that, so be aware. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/et83tonz960w8vnbe5tdh/CrazyEddies-Pilot-Boat-Liveries.zip?rlkey=e6pv4z6wri7ark5f1wuwonavr&st=ydgrn7cb&dl=0
