  1. Thanks mate, I would never have spotted that.
  2. sushy73 - Thanks mate, I had a brief look at the lua but could not spot any issues, had to leave it to do something else. Thanks for your help.
  3. diego999 - Lo siento - mi espanol no es muy bueno. I do know a little Spanish but I didnt check it properly before I posted, sorry !! Timex3 - Its a Core game model in the South Atlantic Map, the files are already in the game but they appear to have blocked it appearing in the Mission Editor for now, I suspect its not quite ready yet.
  4. A mate of mine did a UKRM/USMC exchange with an Anglico Team and he had to para qualify with them on OV10's. He said the way they dispatched them was to point the aircraft nose right up and let them fall out the back, ha said it was the easiest way to get out safely and it worked perfectly. I believe it was done with the doors off.
  5. For those of you who have not noticed this - the files are all in the game but it's not appearing in the ME - Yet ! Potential Livery for Karl Doorman.
  6. Pilot Cutters - For the Rivet Counters - The British Pilot Boats do not fly the White Ensign, they are not owned or managed by the Royal Navy. They would normally fly The Port Authority Flag that they are attached to, such as The Port of London Authority, The Port of Plymouth Authority etc etc. If you want to be accurate for the British Pilot Boat I would suggest changing the RN Ensign to The UK Union Jack - file attached. https://www.dropbox.com/s/v84wo7s1nthoju0/Union Jack.zip?dl=0 Nice wee boat Admiral, I might do a few slightly different skins for it, ours are mostly orange upperworks. Edit - Since somebody asked. British Naval Ports do have their own Pilots, called Admiralty Pilots. They are owned and operated by The Kings Harbour Master for that port and fly their own flag, which is a Union Jack on a white background with their Royal Cypher in the middle. Where there are Civil and Naval harbours beside each other they both operate Pilot Services, flying different flag, often sharing facilities.
  7. I despise Mods ???? That's a bit unkind, and offends many fine moders on here who spend hours trying to make the game more enjoyable for others. Why not say 'dislike' - you would still make your point without offending anyone.
  8. I tried that when it first started to go wrong Rudel, we spoke about it in Nov last year, the aircraft does go under the canopy/hangar but now it points the opposite way to the exit and wont move, the engines spool up to 100% without moving. (It did that before - pointing the opposite way is new) It probably is a conflict with something else, I dont know what yet though.
  9. Just tried your miz and that does work. However, if you place a VCP Nato Shelter on another spot and place an aircrat under it to take off when you go to fly the aircraft has been moved to the next closest empty spot, the in game stuff is working but modded stuff isnt. Sorry, I didnt make that clear. I guess that is a VCP issue but I never could figure it out.
  10. A while ago you could place aircraft and objects under things like the VPC shelters then about 6-8 updates ago it stopped working. No idea why but ED never responded to requests to fix it. You could even start a flight from inside a shelter or hangar, which was great. I hoped they would fix whatever it was they changed but gave up checking on it ages ago. The only option is what shagrat suggests, with a bit of fine tuning you can get part of an object inside, but not all of it.
  11. Turkey has just taken delivery of one of these. I think they are buying (or building) 2.
  12. I was slightly disappointed to see USNS Puller was named after Chesty Puller, a rather famous USMC Officer of considerable standing (even to us Brit Marines). Chesty was an ugly bugger of course but that ship is even uglier, they could have found something sleeker, more stylish, something with a bit of class, something that befits a man of such military historical interest. !! What do they name after him, a fat ugly old tanker with a dodgy flight deck. I shall write and complain to The President forthwith. (I imagine I might be told to f*ck off - we will see !)
  13. Black Hulls, with a very slight hint of red, look better - MUCH better. I will do another set of the Type 26 and the Type 45's with black hulls and post them here in a day or two. - Done - see below. The ship on the left is a red hull, the other 2 are a type 26 and a type 45 with black hulls. You decide ! Here is the updated link with black and red hulls for both the Type 26 and the type 45 - you can have any colour you like - as long as it's black, or red. You can mix and match, simply drop the folders into your liveries folders for each type. All that is different is the hull colour, the rest of the ships are the same for each hull color. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kpk0g9getegkguc/CrazyEddies Type 26 and Type 45 Liveries.zip?dl=0
  14. I take it you mean the Type 26 hull - I'll try making one black and see how it goes. That's the trouble with DCS water, it so bloody transparent !! (Every ship in the game looks like its floating in crystal clear water, and we all know the sea is full of sh*t - certainly all the seas that I have sailed in, and that's most of them !!) The only blue hulls I know of, or have seen, are Canadian, and that wasnt very many. Anti fouling is usually red, hence the red hulls.
  15. A couple of 'possibly fictional' Liveries for the Type 26 - 4 x UK, 1 x RAN, 1 x RCN - British names are known, Pennant Numbers are yet to be divulged officially so I'm going with Wikiwatsit for now F88, F89, F90, F91 !!!, Australia is suggesting HMAS Hunter 101, Canada has not even committed to a purchase yet so I have taken a guess at HMCS Thunder Bay F344. Deck marking etc are based on the current style for each country, the actual markings are not known yet, HMS Glasgow isnt in service and hasnt had her deck painted yet. So it's a lot of guesswork. Link deleted - see below for new link.
  16. I dont think they have decided on Pennant Numbers for the class yet Oban, but her predecessors HMS Glasgow Type 42 was D88, (and HMS Broadsword F88) and it would not be unusual for the RN to follow on with F88. There is nothing on any of the RN sites yet to suggest what it might be, so F88 it is for now, but I think it will change to a 3 digit number. I'm pretty sure the deck marking letters will be different, not an H, probably GW, and she will have her pennant number on the stern as well. Great Mod, I have been looking forward to one of these, thanks currenthill.
  17. Ref containers ships running into canal banks. There is an excavator in the game, its part of the South Atlantic Assets pack - it's in Static Vehicles. It goes by the name Cat 345L. Its excellent quality, a nice model.
  18. Just a thought but the flight deck has those white lines overlaid of the actual deck as a separate texture file and I noticed that over the rear spot there is a slight rise in that file which sits slightly (very slightly) above the deck, causing a dark shadow under the texture, would that cause any issues with aircraft I wonder. I have seen this happening before and where those white lines were painted directly onto the deck texture there wasnt an issue, at least not one that I know of.
  19. Got another issue, the ships is appearing in the Mission Editor but not appearing when you hit the 'Fly' button, its reverts to the airfield image only, add another ship and that will appear, but no Oak Hill. I cant remember why that happens ?
  20. Admiral - Livery Names, I have sent you a message. Not sure I understand the question, the Liveries are appearing fine. The issue with the flight deck might be related to an error in the description.lua, this line: {"Material #5594", DIFFUSE , "oakh_fd", false}; There appears to be an extra h, a typo perhaps, should that line not read "oak_fd" - There is no texture file called "oakh_fd" in the main textures folder. There is also a texture file called "oak_fd_b" in the main texture folder but that does not appear in the description.lua, is that another error perhaps ? Eddie
  21. Johnathon

USS Oak Hill - Liveries.  The latest update has 4 of the ships in the class appearing in the Liveries drop down in the Mission Editor, and they all look fine so I dont understand your question ?

Are you trying to get all of them appearing as different ships by name, one under the other, in the selection options. If that is the question the answer is you cant do that, you have to use one Mod and apply the changes by the Liveries drop downs, that's the only way I know of.

If you mean you are trying to do something else explain it to me again and I'll help if I can.

    Nice Mod mate, as always.

  22. Thanks SkateZilla, can you tell me which lines in the description.lua are the hazard panels, I'm guessing its something to do with the bano.dds so I just need to identify which lines and I can do the rest. Disregard - Worked it out by trial and error. Difficult to tone those panels down to what I want but I'm working on it. Thanks for your help - again.
  23. Is there any way we can turn the hazard lights off. I know its argument 88 in the description.lua but I dont know how to switch them off permanently ? custom_args = { [88] = -1.0, (I have tried 0.0, 1.0 and -1.0, nothing seems to work) } If you are curious as to why I want to turn them off permanently look at The Blue Angels livery, you will see why !!!
  24. Thanks for that info , I saw another YouTube thread on the same subject a while ago, it turns out that is also rubbish.
  25. Oban's right. Admiral does have one in the pipeline but these things take a lot of work and we have to be patient, he has LOTS of other work in hand already.
