  4. We are looking at that ... its possible but we need to do something else first and that may be the better option, but correct scale is part of it.
  5. There are several issues with requesting help from different groups. We all do this mod stuff differently, we all want our Mods to be different things, no 2 groups use the same graphics software or even the same versions of 3dmax, and we all have different priorities. (I just want eye candy, I want it flyable, I want it to have these lights, I want it to be able to do this or not do that - its and endless list !) We did get help from others, and that was very much appreciated and some of that help is ongoing, but its extremely difficult to have several groups playing with the same model with all the different permutations of kit and still end up with what it was you envisaged at the very beginning. Evolution of the Mod is great, opening the doors and the ramp were not in the original plan but were a great addition, but at some point you lose control of what it was you had and unless you have the skills to manage all of that complexity you are going to produce something less than what you started with. I lost control of the whole and I knew then it was time to sit back and take stock. I still have the Merlin I bought in and I'm taking stock.

  8. My original plan was to create a Military Helicopter Mod similar in style and complimentary to the Civil Aircraft Mod and Military Aircraft Mod's. II was too ambitious a project and we quickly realised we don't have the technical knowledge needed to complete a Mod of this complexity, to our satisfaction. Our first attempt was very oversized and we could not create a credible flight model or master some of the technical issues associated with a wheeled Helicopter. As we fixed some issues we created more, and the deeper we got into the technical aspects of creating even a simple AI model the more difficult it became to create our original Mod in the way that we wanted to do it. The larger project is abandoned, however, we are still considering what to do with the Merlin, if it does come back it may be in a different form.
  9. We dont know the answer to that Worg, we have never tried it. We spend so much time modding these days we lose track of what the game can and cant do and I have never got around to trying that function in game. We are rebuilding the Mod at the moment, as soon as that is done we will try it and let you know.
  10. Thanks Urbi, we think you are right, we will have to fix that. A million thanks to Damien for his help, we are looking to add some features which he has helped us with enormously, we have deleted the link for now and will put up a new one when we have made the changes. Its still a steep learning curve for Admiral and myself, be patient. Damien: When we have finished this one I would be glad to help mate, you have helped us and we will return the favour. But we need to finish this first. PS: Admiral and I own this jointly, he is the brains and I am the brawn !!! We work on this as a team.
  11. I would like to see some close ups, lets see the detail please Damien. We have some long term plans and we dont want to go making something that has already been made - Duplication is such a waste of everyone's time.
  12. Just to keep you aware, we are looking at several options to update, in due course. Wheels, Lights, Doors, Ramps come to mind. Hawkeye60 is going to try and make a flyable Mod out of this but that will be outside of this Mod and it will be uploaded separately, we only ever intended for this to be an AI Mod. Flyables are beyond our knowledge at present, we have a lot to learn before we go there.

  16. Okay, the rotor direction has been changed, download the link again and it should work correctly. Its been a steep learning curve for both us, FM's and lua's are something of a mystery to both of us so we have had to teach ourselves a lot of this stuff as we went along ... sorry for the error.

  18. I see what he means, he might be right, the blades are fixed on the airframe correctly but they do appear to spin backwards, we will get back to you on that one. He is correct, we are looking at it ... wait out.

Added ASW HC2 Version - Found to be slightly oversized V3 - ASW HC2 Version Size corrected to 22m. Added missing texture to static HC2 Version. Added Hellfire Missiles to Pylons 1 and 4. We have not added the submarine launched torpedo found in the game, it is completely unrealistic, it is a very different weapon to the Aerial Launch Torpedo which is carried by the Merlin. For details on weapons see ReadMe2 - DO READ IT. This is only an AI model, it is NOT flyable. There are still some minor errors in the model (Front Wheel and Ramp animation) which we are aware of. Please read the ReadMe for details on this Mod. DELETE ANY PREVIOUS VERSION AND REPLACE IT WITH THIS ONE.
  20. No, your quite right, but ships radars still turn, smoke, weapons fire etc etc, it doesnt need a waypoint. (I had not thought that bit through had I !!) Static is sometimes useful as just eye candy for a particular scenario, and we have the facility with everything else, it just seems strange not to have it with static ships. I use static ships a lot in my game, many might not, its just another choice.

  22. It would be useful to have this function added to the game, currently there is no option to change the livery of a static ship, you can have the default skin and nothing else. I realise you can overcome this by making it a ship under way and create a very short waypoint, but we dont need to do that for anything else so why not have it for static ships as well.

Similar issues with this map, and Syria, micro stutter a few seconds after mission starts, then intermittent micro stutters after that, It was good before the last update, but the last update ran at the same time as the last big Windows 10 update so I'm guessing they might be linked. Reduced everything to minimum in the mission, still happens, tried all the combinations of options and all the fixes suggested in this and other threads, nothing stops it happening. Tried it with different aircraft, no difference then tried it with a vanilla game, still there. Not a huge issue, just a little annoying, I'm running a top end machine and usually run the game error free with everything maxed out.
