As far as i know there are no problems with Windows 7 WordPad. I edited some lines with WordPad and it works. Windows 7 for the win !

As far as i know, the illumination ranges of the IR Lights for night vision goggles are not long enough for an efficient use in fixed wing cockpits. NV is mainly built for infantry units and is clipped on top of their helmets. For A-10 / Su-25 Pilots it would not help much as distances to enemy ground units are much bigger than the NV can show. Also both Aircraft dont have cockpit instrument illumination which you can dimm down, so there will be dazzle effect inside the cockpit if you use NV at this time. The AH-64 D Apache combat helicopter also has NV, but it is projected into the right eye of the Pilot and works with high sensitive FLIR (Forward Looking Infra Red ) optical system which is a round box on top of the rotor blades. So right now there are only illumination flares that you can use in the hot zone to light up the dark night :)

The throttle axis might have a wrong binding. Go to FC2 options menu, then to controller menu and look for the axis assign (bottom right). Click on the throttle box ( you have to be in your joystick column ) and after that on clear and add. There will open a new window for axis recognition. Move the throttle axis to be recognized by the software. Then click on OK. and it will be saved.

Here is my Mission : several A-10 / F-15 / MIG-29 / KA-50 client slots : Cooperative Mission against AI Enemies ( no client slot for enemy side ! ) You have multiple threats : heavy armour ground troups ( Heading 310, distance 25 km ) are trying to invade our airbase ! Multiple enemy aircraft also trying to attack our airbase and anyone who is in the air. ( mainly coming from North-West direction ) Defend our Airbase at all costs ! We have some Airbase defence but do not rely on them ! Read the Briefing for Details. I hope you like my mission ;) Would like to have some feedback on this mission. Thank you. PS : - KA-50 slots will only work after the Black Shark patch has been released. - When driving out of the hangar please be carefull with your aircraft wings, its a little tricky ( there is not much space between aircraft wings and hangars ) - When enemy Airgroups or Tank batallions are destroyed, there will automatically spawn new ones to continue attack on our base ! Well i did, but if you have an unmodded default Cougar in your self-built-cockpit, it doesnt make sense to use the new Warthog Stick on the old "unprecise" Cougar base ! I would not buy a brand new precise stick and just use the stick itself to put it on the old base which is really crappy from factory default (potentiometers, gimbals and springs). Instead i would just replace the complete stick and throttle and throw the cougar into trash or just sell it on ebay to make someone else "happy" :music_whistling: And if you have a very cool Cougar with an expensive Hall sensor + gimbal + springs mod, there is no need to buy a new one... except you are the the kind of man who always wants to have the brand new toys on the market, just for fun. Sorry, i cannot see any logic interest to keep the old Cougar stick for use on the new Warthog base and vice versa.

I dont think that Thrustmaster will produce any Force Feedback Base for the Stick in the future. Force Feedback never really was succesfull in the FlightSim market. There were only a few models that really worked proper and i believe that Logitech might be the last company which gives this technology a try. What i do believe is that Thrustmaster might release a russian Style Stick (replica) like the SU-33´s or SU-25T´s for the Warthogs base in the future. That would be a cost effective solution. Bundled with a very thin metal plate which can be screwed onto the throttle base with russian style labeling for the buttons and switches it would satisfy the fans of russian aircraft. This way there would be no need to produce a complete new throttle. The same strategy would also work for any other type of american/european aircraft. Development costs are very high and i doubt that expensive flagships like Cougar / Warthog will be sold as often as cheaper joystick models. I also dont understand why they want to make the Cougar stick interchangeable with the Warthogs stick. Why should i put an older stick on a new base ? Both sticks seem to have identical ergonomy and also the number and postion of the buttons are the same.

The only Programme i know that raises the immersion of Radio communication in Flight-Sims is Teamspeak Noise for TS2. It adds a microfone click at the end of each incoming sound in TS2. How do you think Thrustmaster can pre-configure the Warthog, if DCS : A-10C is still in work and not published yet ? They might bring out a profile for FC2, may be Black Shark and various other Flight-Sims but not for those which are not released yet.

Besides Gimbals, Potentiometers and the microstick, the Cougar was/is an awsome joystick. The Foxy Programming Software is really powerfull and all buttons still work like a charm since 2003 on my Cougar. Its very ergonomic, the metal Joystick feels solid and is a unique replica of the original F-16 HOTAS.( Its a beauty !) Almost all serious Flight simmers who own a cougar, modded their beasts to have a perfect stick so far. Lets all hope that Thrustmaster did his homework, optimized the weak parts of the Cougar and brings out a brand new HOTAS, which will already be perfect by factory standard. The latest Thrustmaster T.16000M already proved that it is very precise. Long term tests will show if it remains precise or not. Rumors say that a new programming software will also be released with the Warthog, which also will allow to programm the Cougar MFD´s. That is very promising so far. I definatly want one and wait untill its out, even if it takes a few weeks or months longer than planned. But i am confident, that in the end of may/beginning of june the first sticks will be available. I would like to know, who else here did his choise to buy the Warthog ?

Try the keyboard Buttons : LCTR-Enter or LALT-Enter ( not sure which one works ) Should maximize the screen again. This worked in another game for me a few weeks ago where i had i same problem. This Problem is related to Windows.

Well .. we cannot help you if you dont post your detailed system specs for example : CPU, Graphics Card Model , Driver Version, Driver Settings, etc. And please choose Titles for your Topics that give some information about your problem ( other people try to use the SEARCH function in the Forum and might have the same problem as you ). A good name helps finding older topics for specific proplems. So the title could have been : " Help ! My Cockpit and some Instruments are transparent " ( just an example .. dont get me wrong , i dont want to be a smart*** but this really helps others too ! ) Now to your Problem : I assume that you have an ATI Graphics Card and use the Catalyst Driver 10.3 ( that might be wrong but since i had the same bug when i was experimenting with some graphics driver settings it might be right here) Open your Catalyst Control Center. Click on "Graphics" , then click on "3D" , then on "ALL" Scroll down untill you see Anti Aliasing Mode Slider !!! DO NOT USE --> "Adaptive Multi-sample AA (middle slider position) Try the ---> "Super-sample AA" Setting and everything will be O.K. again. ( slider to full right position ! ) Dont forget to click on "Apply" and "OK" after that, or the changes will not be applied when you close the Catalyst Program ! I hope this helps. I also would like to know your average FPS and what file exactly you edited (details ) to show special areas of the screen you posted. Never saw a screen constellation like yours : Monitor 1 in the middle - showing cockpit Monitor 2 on the left - showing left back Monitor 3 on the right - showing right back And i saw you got an overclocked Intel Core i920 @ 4200 Mhz. Is that CPU Water cooled ?

Hmm.. echt seltsam, hast Du eigentlich auf die neueste Version gepatcht ? 1.0.1c ? Das gibt es hier : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=46285 Das ist mein letzter Einfall dazu, ansonsten wie gesagt mal auf Partition D:\ installieren, weil Windows 7 die Partition C:\ als Systemplatte schützt und manche Schreiboperationen unterbindet.

This HOTAS really looks amazing and for sure is one of the best Joysticks ever produced for the public ( non-military ). I want one of these as soon as they are available.

Installierst Du BS auf Laufwerk C ? Versuch mal eine andere Partition zu nehmen. Hatte diese Fehlermeldung auch schon ein, zwei mal. Nach einem Neustart ging es aber ohne weitere Probleme. Da fällt mir ein, hast Du eventuell noch FC1.2b drauf ? Das benutzt ja auch den Starforce Treiber. Vielleicht müsstest Du mal ein Starforce Update ziehen auf deren Webseite. Denn das verursacht auch schon mal unerwünschte Abstürze. Mehr fällt mir spontan nichts mehr zur Lösung deines Problems ein.

This bug is really annoying and i hope there will be a fixing patch soon. It does take a few more button presses to switch back to NAV mode to check the distance to the target zone and then switch back to A2G mode and choose the right weapon. A little stressfull if you are closer to the target area than expected. :D By the way .. are there any ED people working on bugfixing for FC2 ? Or are you guys only working on DCS: A-10C right now ? Wags ? An answer would be great here.
