My opinion is that people thought that CA was going to have arma2\3 realism, being able to turn out\in and do cold start ups like the a10C. You would be able to swing the turret 90 degrees, jump out, open the back end of the M1A1 and have your mate bring in the crane while you both swapped the AGT1500C all while in multiplayer, UH-1's bought you supplies and welder and other items required to carry out the change in the field. After this, you would be able to walk over to the ammo stock pile, interact with the rounds and carry them back to your tank and load them in the storage bay. Firing rounds was done by entering co-ords into the on board computer as well as adjusting fire for effect in the paladin. Seriously though, I bought it after watching youtube video's and it works fine in it's current state for what I want out of it. Be realistic, if you are not happy with the product, don't buy\use it. Find something else to waste your time and money on. Personally I love it, I find it fits in with rest of the products available for the game. You knew the type of product you were committing yourself to buying before you forked out the dosh....you only have yourself to blame if you are not completely satisfied. As for what I am doing with it? Missions that don't utilize air support

let's all calm down people. None of this hoorah came about after the release of the hawk was delayed. I am sure the good folks at Mig-21BIS will update all you anxious people soon enough. Let's be realistic, the hawk and mig I have money aside to buy. Doubt I will fly either but putting money into the 3rd party kitty I believe, goes towards aircraft I will fly such as the Typhoon and in time maybe the foxbat or DCS quality flanker from BIS....

Yes, this is the target file from the original dcs world shortcut "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" If I run that, it just freezes with the green line and nothing happens. This is after a complete install of the 1.2.7 from the digital combat sims website. I was having the same problem after the auto update after the 1.2.7 open beta went to complete 1.2.7 release The only way to fix it is to run the launcher.exe directly as a shortcut and not run the original dcs world shortcut which is placed on the desktop after fresh install

I just got rid of the DCS worl shortcut from the desktop and created launcher.exe shortcut instead. If I use the dcs world shortcut the autoupdater just freezes with the green line moving.....wait an hour and have to ctrl=alt+del and end the task. Otherwise, great work on the release ed, love it

Point A: who is going to wait 2 hours until someone comes and picks up an ejected pilot? I have played in servers where if you eject (over land) a smoke marker deploys and co-ords are sent to the chopper pilots. after about 1 minute of waiting for the chopper, the ejected player returns to the lobby and rejoins back into the aircraft making the smoke marker idea a waste of effort for the mission designer. This would be a waste of time scripting and creating the objects that no one would ever use in a multiplayer scenario. Point B: Acts against humanity has gone on by both sides and all parties in every war. If your proposal did come about, it should still be possible to drop a GBU, AGM or Cluster bomb life boats.

UPDATE: Completely uninstalled and re-installed and same problem persists. I can't be the only one on here with this issue considering I just deleted the whole directory, every old install package I have of DCS and individually checked all folder properties to make sure that the every file had been deleted relating to DCS before installing again

I get this message after starting the updater.....it says "Checking install" then flashes an error window Can't Move C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_Downloads\bin/dcs_protect.dll to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bin/DCS_Protect.dll:9183) Cannot Create a file when that files already exists. Press ok then I get this Error WIndow Can't Run C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin/launcher.exe: (2) The system cannot find the file specified. Anyone have a solution to this? Should I delete DCS_protect.dll and try again? Moved Launcher.exe from _downloads\bin to DCS World Openbeta\bin Asks for missing lua.dll file, copied from same path as launcher.exe Asks for missing edCore.dll file copied from same path as launcher.exe asks for missing world.dll file copied from same path as launcher.exe Deleted DCS_protect.dll then said "can't find DCS_protect.dll so copied it back with the same errors as mentioned above Might just save myself the trouble and uninstall 1.2.7 and re-install it.

I believe RRG are keeping with the 3rd party developer tradition which is to not have a web site until after they have released a couple of modules if Belsimtek and Coretex Designs website is anything to go on.
