woops, major spelling error that one :)

I didn't think an injection seat was developed until after the war. Closer to 1950 was my guess. I'm quite sure the Bell X-1 did not have an injection seat either. If it was tested in the JU-87, makes one wonder what other aircraft it was fitted and tested on or if it actually made it onto the production line of other aircraft.

Back in my prime they used to call me Yeager, I'd wrap a towel over my eyes and fly blind. Used to be able to feel the wind parting ways by the buffeting of my aircraft at sub sonic speeds from incoming missiles. Some days I would even land with the towel wrapped over my eyes just for S**ts and giggles......mind you this happened long before the invention of radar and the invention of aircraft for that fact. Back when flight was just a pipe dream for Orville and Wilbur. How time has changed since I was a kid

If this aircraft is modeled into the sim, will an ejection seat be added or did it not make it past test stages of development?

Really? I'd be buying the A-10C while it is on special at the $15.00 right now if was in your position

Sounds to me like the earth is moving on it's axis faster than before and it is causing the monitor excessive g forces. This seems to be leading to the blackouts your monitor is experiencing. Have you tried putting the monitor inside a G-suit and seeing if the problem still exists? I have had to put my whole computer tower, monitor, keyboard and mouse inside a g suit to stop this exact same issue.

Throw enough money at a problem and a solution will be found

Despite this thread, I do hope people like ENO keep the firehouse servers open to the public, would be a shame for me in Australia if servers as good as his and other's like OCB, AEF etc etc locked the servers and people like myself would then be left with campaigns or crappy missions I have wacked together in the ME for solo IMO, everyone is entitled to rant, just not a public rant aimed at people such as myself. Not everyone is going to adhere to what has been said in this thread. For me the first thing to power up in my aircraft is the jammer, radar and anything else that will prevent my plane being blown to bits. I might even start dropping flares and chaff for good measure as I taxi to the runway.

How to spot targets for your wingment to engage?
Winfield_Gold replied to jetstorm96's topic in DCS: UH-1H
or the AI guy pressed MLI, IDDQD, IDKFA or any other key combinations that enabled god mode on the knee-board :) -
Also to confirm, I purchased the MI-8 on release day and 2 weeks later it was on sale and I received a %70 discount on and present or future module. Can this be used together with the $22.00 bonus scheme on the F-86? If not I am happy to pay full price or part price on the module. Money is going to a good cause after all

Although it's not exactly Korea but Nevada is in the pipeline from ED, I don't think new theater's can be designed by 3rd parties as EDGE has not even been released to the public. Therefore I doubt anyone outside of ED would have the tools to design a new theater. It seems to me you are asking in the wrong people, BST is not exactly ED or the devs behind EDGE when it comes to the release of new maps

REQUEST - SPLIT DCS WORLD forum from SU-25T Forum...
Winfield_Gold replied to docfu's topic in Forum and Site Issues
Seems to be a dire need for this IMO -
I agree, would much rather see the Cobra or a Hind first. As it stands, there are only 2 helicopter modules and countless fixed wing to fly
-
I doubt BST "have" to make a mig-15 although it would compliment the 86. It would make a nice request but saying the developers "have" to make a module is a bit off putting. If I was a developer reading a post titled in this way, I'd release a press statement saying "We have decided to commit the time and man power to releasing a DCS level Mig-15. Please note that work on this project will not begin for at the very least, 5 years from today" Just for s@#t's and giggles.

Bug Reports / Testing Process / Updates?
Winfield_Gold replied to Ranger79's topic in General Questions
Care to give us less fortunate's a run down? As stated in an earlier post, testers mainly test with little more to offer the people behind the scenes. Interested to know why some of these behind the scenes people don't show more of an interested in these forums? Seems the testers and moderators don't offer much insight as to was it being worked on and what is in the process of being fixed. From my perspective, seems VEAO and the mig mob pay more attention to their fans questions and progress logs and they have not yet released a module which is in the paid form. IMO, ED Execs should offer Pman a PR job as he is doing a fine job over on the 3rd party thread. Someone who is "behind the scenes" not a tester or moderator but someone in the "know" ED really needs someone to take this onboard. Be nice to have a progress log of the bugs being reported other than OPEN, REPORTED & CLOSED in the bug threads. Seems reasonable..... -
Bug Reports / Testing Process / Updates?
Winfield_Gold replied to Ranger79's topic in General Questions
Do the English speaking ED Testers liaise with their Russian speaking counter parts when it comes to bug reports and testing process? It would be quite confusing if the english testers where working on the bugs in the top half of the ED forums and the Russian counterparts where only working on the bugs reported on their end of the forums. If I download the russian versions of DCS World do I get different updates? maybe the russians already have EDGE and us English people are still coding it. I'm not going to download the Russian version as I don't quite speak or understand 1 word of it, maybe a tester can fill me and others in regarding the difference between Russian and English testers -
Before your next flight, invest in a few go-pros and give us all in the forums a "ride" with you

Bug Reports / Testing Process / Updates?
Winfield_Gold replied to Ranger79's topic in General Questions
I am curious, as a "tester" does this mean you guys only get to test what is not yet released to the public or do you actually have a hand in the coding? -
Curious, are the gunners trained pilots as well? Are there dual flight controls for both pilot and gunner? If something happens to the pilot, surely there would be backup controls for the gunner.

I Drive a VW Golf, do I get a module? :megalol:

Helicopter flight model: DCS World VS "insert title"
Winfield_Gold replied to Snottus's topic in Chit-Chat
I found Take On Helicopters (TOH) to be quite challenging. It's made by Bohemia Interactive and the flight dynamics like the UH-1 There was rumor that the choppers in Arma 3 would have the same flight dynamics yet again I was disappointed to find how arcade like arma 3 was for the aircraft. For expert mode, don't use rudder pedals, much more difficult to control -
I can see this project going straight to humble bundle on release. Probably combined with 5 or so other worthless pieces of crap for $3.00

Looks like the Monitor is pulling some serious negative G's

Giving radio commands to CA user
Winfield_Gold replied to LFCChameleon_Silk's topic in Mission Editor
You can via mist. Not sure of the process but we have a mission that can spawn enemy fighters via radio menu and it works for CA as well. Maybe hit ENO up or Grimes up in the forums. They have more experience with mist than I have. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98616
