I'm looking forward to DCS: Weather Balloon

I can see the Prime95 report sounding an alarm and saying your computer is about to experience "The China Syndrome"
-
It seems you may be right. Someone else is reporting a similar issue and is putting it down to the joystick not being compatible http://steamcommunity.com/app/223750/discussions/0/540742667706718747/ Try deleting or renaming your C:\username\saved games\DCS folder and restarting the game. It should create a new DCS folder and new files. See if that helps

Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?

it's the yanks own money. America gives Iraq billions in aid funding, so really it's just a tax write off. Since ISAS has hit the scene, America is probably looking at it as though it is in the countries best interest to charge massive bucks for the choppers in case the banks fall into ISAS's hands. Let's not forget what happened with Taiwan when communism was spreading through China. America flew into China with C-47s and flew the treasury and corrupt government out of the county to set up Taiwan Mind you, that treasury was in US dollars. This took place, not in 1945 but during the Korean war. Probably won't see that happen in Iraq though leaving the country broke is not in the best interests of the countries who helped prop up the puppet government.

i'd rather play wargame myself and dcs for real sim action

Looks awesome ENO love the work and effort you and the team put into servers

an interesting quote this. What about the first "smart bombs" from the 1st gulf war which never hit a target. Most of the bombs dropped in and around Iraq killed civilians. Who ever it was at the start of this thread making a political statement, in war people die. Civilians die, blue on blue, who cares it just war and in war people die. I can't wait for a dev to make a vietnam war map. Carpet\barrel bombing Hanoi in with a 100 odd B-52's. :pilotfly: Napalm on the forests with EDGE is going to look like HD quality, especially the fried VK troops as I roll past in my CA module

and a BLU-82 while they are at it :)

F-100 uses worlds shortest run-way. Not sure what this is supposed to be testing, maybe the center of gravity or flight characteristics maybe?

There was a post by someone from Razbam 2 weeks back stating that one of their lead members was dealing with a personal loss. I believe this was in the Mirage section but unfortunately I can no longer find it.

Looking forward to this bird

Hmm DCS UH-1 Water Bomber

I thought the A-10 was fly by wire, with hydraulic solenoids and actuators controlling the inputs by the pilot. This is transferred by wires, however if you lose hydraulics, the pilot still has a secondary backup which allows the pilot to use cables to fly the plane. It is not true fly by wire like the F-16 where every input is controlled by an on board computer but isn't it still fly by wire? Every modern aircraft is basically fly by wire but with varying degree of systems witch control inputs. If the A-10 lost hydraulics, the pilot would then feel every force on the stick and pedals, Therefore he would actually be flying the plane, not the actuators and hydraulic pressure

Thank you for your help guys, i'll read the link Blooze posted and have a go. EDIT: Works as described, Best s**t storm I have ever created, much more of a challenge for the choppers. EDIT EDIT: If you crank it up to -500 so the outer cyclone is over the base, you get a message that says "runway is closed please wait" -1000 and you can barely taxi. If you start at turning point, you can VTOL the A-10C onto the parking lot. I found it best to only use 1 engine for complete stupidity and counteract the sideways action, add -30 degrees of flaps to climb on the spot, -15 to slowly sink down into the parking lot. Not really what dynamic weather is designed but hey spare a thought for the devs working on VTOL aircraft, Just code in a -1000 pressure system when you lower the nozzles and your good to go. Might make it easier on the coding if you can work dynamic weather into the VTOL scripts :)

I used the template that is in Post 20 of the thread but I have no idea how to move the cyclone from Tbilisi. How can I move it to say FJ20 which is North of Gudauta. I am building a canyon mission and I think this cyclone would suit well if I could figure out how to get it near the position. It's not as simple as click and drag across the map :)

Who thought it was a good idea to e-mail activation codes?
Winfield_Gold replied to doveman's topic in Payment and Activation
I concur sir, so to answer the question to the OP, I thought it was a good idea to e-mail activation codes. Best idea I have had all day. I'm an ideas man, full of good ideas -
Who thought it was a good idea to e-mail activation codes?
Winfield_Gold replied to doveman's topic in Payment and Activation
Buy anything from Humble Bundle or Bundle stars and you receive both origin and steam keys via e-mail. You actually need to supply an e-mail address to receive the keys EDIT: also another company I use is cjs-cdkeys.com who also require an e-mail address in which to receive the keys This is just 3 out of many that I use regularly. -
With the news that RRG has folded and ED is going to pick up the slack, does this mean we will see EDGE before this century ends? Glad EDGE wasn't a kickstarter project, otherwise it would be just a pipe dream
-
I still don't have access to the Backer Forums
Winfield_Gold replied to droz's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
So the bottom line is don't pledge money to an unfinished module or pipe dream? EDIT: I was wondering the reasons behind VEAO taking on WW2 projects, now we know -
ALT+C is not working...again
Winfield_Gold replied to Icarus1976's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I'll answer the 2nd part first. Due to advancements in Combined Arms, you can use the steering wheel to drive the hummers, trucks etc etc. In fact using the wheel will probably allow you to reverse parallel park in tight areas of the base. Or angle park for that matter much easier than using the keyboard. As for Left ALT + C, what Flagrum has stated -
Found this Video of a Very nice P-51 most likely taking to the air on any given Sunday

As that a limitation of X-plane? the screenshots as stated in the OP are taken directly from X-plane By no means am I a texture artist, Just an observation to consider
-
From memory, when you do the way points, about waypoint 3 or 4 your co-pilot says you need to pick up someone and drop him off at the mountain base. It's been a while hoping someone can explain this in detail
