We had news here in Australia that the USA electrical grid was going to be shut down last November to test if the backup systems in place would kick in. That turned out to be a well reported hoax.

Not uncommon. This still happens with the A-10C in certain situations with SAM missile hits. Wings fall off yet the missiles still remain attached as if floating in thin air.

Hi, I'm trying to make it so that and a mission is to destroy a Russian FAC. Using radio coms borrowed from youtube, I've set a zone radius around the FAC and the radio plays, however I want it quieter the further away from the target the blue force is but as they get closer the radio volume get's louder. It's a bit hard to spot 2 infantry on a mountain where the only information being supplied is that the FAC is "to the north of the base" Or do I need to make it several zones and change the radius to say 1500, then another at 1300 and another at 1000 changing the radio volume in each zone so it's louder and louder? I haven't tried that but if someone has an easier way please post it

imagine the incockpit fps on a gtx260 if old mate has his way Does this mean OP wants to see creases in the flight gear as the body produces movement as it would in real life? What about dust particles, maybe OP wants that rendered in the cockpit, as the pilot presses cockpit buttons, a finger moves and touches the panel producing dust particles which happen in real life to fly around and be seen be the awesome light shader or am I just asking to much??

I'd like to fly as RIO. I think it would be good to have knowledge of both sides of the coin. If I created a mission in the ME, will there be an option so that I can choose to be RIO with an AI pilot?

Where did you get this information regarding an updated carrier? The only information I had on it was when CTD said in a press release they were working on a carrier that would be released with the super hornet. Now that the Super hornet has been put on hold that also means all their other projects are no doubt put on hold. I don't ever remember reading that DCS, ED or the fighter collection where releasing an updated carrier with the C Variant that is being worked on in the current news letter and previous news letters.

look at your aircraft compass heading or heading on the HUD. Runway 22 is 220 degrees, runway 16 is 160 degrees etc etc, Or runway 2 is 20 degrees, 7 is 70 degrees that's the real world way of knowing which runway to take off from. wow....those replies above came in quick

i'd rather see another phantom poll than see a civi aircraft poll. AI yes to an extent or free mods yes but paid 172's or airbus a380 etc is a no for me. I have both FSX and X-plane specifically to fly civ aircraft and take in the scenic views. I play DCS to blow stuff up, not phased if world 2.0 comes out in 1 year or 10 years, the reason I'm here buying aircraft is to drop bombs and shoot stuff.
