  1. Posts video....Gets more comments from viewers complaining about the thread the video was posted to.... This is a fine example of why members don't often show their works as newbies who have no idea and stray away from what the topic at hand. take a leaf from WildBillKelsoe's book and just compliment the guy. Whine to video creator about it in PM's
  2. Thank you for the update, I for one have never been concerned. If the thread was moved to DCS Mods, than yes that would be my only concern. Delays are a fact of product releases, any release really and as someone mentioned earlier in a thread not so far away when the member posted Valve Time.
  3. I agree, It's pointless having the radio key bind to a joystick button when you still need a free hand to make the choices such as F2, F3, F4, F5, F10, etc Having to use the \ key is no different to having to press the F1-F10 keys IMO
  4. I was thinking more likely to be the Vertol VZ-2
  5. I remember watching this on dial up
  6. Add trigger "Explode unit" and set the volume to 100 that should take care of the failure problem
  7. Maybe the showcase will be a DCS level Have Blue out of a remote part of Edwards
  8. Actually, The flame you are referring to also happens on the Mig-15 that was based here in YBRK (Rockhampton) Before it was sold to a buyer in the South. It looked like a horizontal candle burning until the turbine spooled up and the gases became to much for the oxygen to keep the flame alight. Hard to explain unless you saw it
  9. Last week I built a completely new system from scratch. before I did this however, I downloaded all the installers for DCS world and all the modules. I never bothered to un-bind the keys off the last hard drive even though I have posts about having to do this by some forum users before a key can be activated on a new computer. Long story short. Download the installers, remove dcs world and rename the saved games dcs folder. Install the modules and dcs world again and wella. It works every time, all the time no matter what hardware you change or upgrade. Then copy the data from the saved games dcs folder back over to the new saved games folder so you don't lose your campaign status3
  10. Possible to allow the intergration of video's to be added to the start of a briefing for missions? rather than have the group watch the video on a website that leads into the game? currently alt + tab seems to crash on some systems and this may be fixed if we are able to add .mp4 or avi videos to a mission briefing in game. I think this would be good for multiplayer missions etc or single player missions so that mission makers have a way of expressing the mission with video rather than words. Currently I can't find a way to do this and I think this feature would be awesome if added to world 2.0

  12. I use fraps. seems to go alright
  13. here I was expecting to find a new where's wally book,
  14. Found this video but can't find it on youtube yet of the KA-52 ejection system in action. I thought it had rockets behind the seat or under the seat, yet the slo-mo camera action proves otherwise. quite interesting how the single seat version operates at 0:50 imagine stress on the shoulders and arms. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e42_1429167831
  15. I'll wait for the sales
  16. When buying a module, the first preference consideration is what does it convert to from USD AUD, I don't see the point in paying close to $80 australian for a module when the rest of the world is paying $50 The only affordable option is to buy the module when it is on sale yet even at 70% or 40% I'm still paying more for the module than the rest of the population. I think it's only fair the modules are on sale at 70% to take into consideration those countries who don't use the USD as a form of currency
  17. Most of that list you will find was based on the many short comings of the F-4 Phantom which lacked really any capability during the vietnam war. No I didn't watch the video but have read enough "comics" and literature based around the f-4
  18. I think wing vapor would be quite difficult to model in the sim. A bit like the damage model for the aircraft. There is probably 10 or so different damage models (that I can tell any way) per aircraft. How many instances would need to be modeled for wing vapor? I can imagine that the devs would need to model 50+ vapor models per aircraft so that under difference thrust\speed\turn radius etc etc you are not seeing the exact same wing vapor under difference conditions. Then there is the weather, altitude and many other factors to consider when modelling the vapor. Probably delay edge a few more years just to please a handful consistently posting pics of wing vortex's The developers time is better spent working on actual aircraft and scenery rather than wasting time trying to develop a realistic vapor trail or wing vortex for every aircraft.
  19. I agree because Australia never purchased F-15's. Pity that we never invested in those awesome machines. Heck if I was the bloke calling the shots back in the 80's our nation would have a few squadrons of F-16's as well.
  20. Fair call, your country does print the paper so I don't know how, shall I say "trustworthy" their editors are I'll add, take what I wrote with as a grain of salt. I do however somewhat agree with your response to my previous post regarding flight software. I won't speculate further on that issue
  21. Someone mentioned about the flight software a few pages back where the cockpit door can be overridden from the ground. Airlines or NTSB could look at introducing software so that the flight plan must be entered into the flight computer at the start of the flight or downloaded from the airline\ATC before taxi. Any deviation to that course must meet set measures and again even a drop in altitude must be entered into the flight computer and verified by ATC or someone on the ground before the change to the autopilot\flight controls can occur. In many airline air crashes it is due to the pilot not trusting the software or flight computer. However many human mistakes can be learnt from if more trust is put into the software and computers that control the plane. One day passenger air travel will be entirely pilot less, that day can't come soon enough if anything is to be learnt from this and other disasters like 990 etc The pilots ex girlfriend has confirmed this act was pre-planned: ‘One day I will do something that will change the whole system, and then all will know my name and remember it.’ When she heard about the crash of Germanwings Flight 4U9525 on Tuesday, she remembered Lubitz’s menacing prophecy. ‘I never knew what he meant, but now it makes sense,’ she told Bild. 22. There is a block option....it's called "don't read the posts" Edit: Actually the people posting in this section have more respect for the loss than some of the theories people posted in the MH370 thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121800&highlight=MH370 I think it's only mature to talk about what has happened. If you are offended, don't read the thread. I am sure the moderators have monitored the thread and if it was out of order it would have been locked or removed yesterday.
  23. Airlines should have changed their protocols for pilots leaving the cockpit after MH-370 disappeared. Reports from that incident claim the pilot left the cockpit and was locked out. If that is the case and we may never know unless the plane is found and flight recorders are intact. In my opinion changes should have been implemented long before this flight took off. It's a sad story and so are many other examples that have been posted up in this section of previous suicidal pilots. A locking switch can not be the only option if 1 pilot is prevented from obtaining access to the cockpit
