What does Edge have to do with passworded servers? way off topic

OP wasn't having crack at password servers. Most of the comments other than the one below is way outside the box. The information has been forwarded to the right channels and hopefully a filter option will end the dispute.

Real UFO on an Airshow (Downloadable Raw Video Included)

Taken several years ago over Nevada Desert. People who live near there believe this to be the UFO that crashed near AREA 51 -
Der Spiegel Online Magazine has stated all 109 Eurofighter's are effected. Der Spiegel also quotes that Germany is unable to keep its defense promises to its NATO allies. I have read the article and this is due to funding shortages and a lack of parts. Because of this, "only 38 out of 89 of Tornado fighters are airworthy and only eight of 109 "Euro Fighter" -Kampfjets are fully operational." I would say Der Spiegel would be a more reliable source of information than Wikipedia. http://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/bundeswehr-unter-von-der-leyen-marode-ausruestung-bei-luftwaffe-a-987940.html EDIT: Janes Defence weekly claims "According to the report, out of Germany's 109 Eurofighters, 35 aircraft are currently undergoing external maintenance, leaving 74 aircraft in service. However of these 74 only 42 aircraft are currently available for missions, training, and exercises. The report did not specify the reasons for this, but IHS Jane's has learnt that the decreased availability of the aircraft is based on a mixture of spare parts policy and their overall costs." http://www.janes.com/article/44111/german-eurofighters-facing-serviceability-issues http://www.janes.com/article/44037/eurofighters-hit-by-manufacturing-issue - That article also mentions Germany's NATO commitment but end story is, all Eurofighters are in a "questionable" state of affairs. Compared to the F-35, proof shows the F-35 is in a much better position when it comes to being airworthy.

F-86 Stall/Spin behaviour doesn't seem correct.

Chuck Yeager's air combat says " max throttle, Nose down & apply opposite rudder" Works every time.... -
Night Missions over North Korea would be interesting. Takeoff in South Korea and fly into the darkness of North Korea......The Option for Civ Traffic will most likely have no effect in North Korea. Any civilian vehicles placed in North Korea would be completely unrealistic :)

just an extra button to move I believe :)

OP claims to be buying the module to support 3rd party and DCS Then finds the cheapest distrubutor of the module and gripes that it is not cheaper on DCS website support of the 3rd parties and DCS?

Maybe as a prop for the dodgy Stevan Segul movie underseige Most they carried was the harpoon from memory. I am certain they were de-comissioned right after the 1st gulf war and retrofitted as a floating rust bucket

It's a soviet missile based on US data. i believe it's modeled correctly, no 2 missiles are the same. Quite sure if 100 missiles are fired and data collected on each one. It would average out to 600 m/s That or the data collected was based on a 1 single faulty missile and therefore the missile in the sim is again modeled correctly :)

I tried this a couple of days back, plane blew up instantly on contact with the deck

Mig21 and fighter maneuverability in todays terms
Winfield_Gold replied to Dirty Rotten Flieger's topic in MiG-21Bis
Yes but just because they are set to excellent, does not make them smarter AI....I can post countless tracks during mission making when AI set on excellent fly into each other when making a turn on a waypoint. Or one flies into a mountain when in formation if 1 is landing and the other can't think for itself. This can be proven on all pilot skill levels for AI. -
spends 5 grand on equipment for the series.....never used it. With some luck the equipment is dead and warranty is void

Interesting thesis. However, I would think that the way a code is written has quite a bit to do with how fast something can be interpreted by a computer's CPU and processed by the GPU I would think that the drivers also play a large role in frame rates for a GPU. The current engine is 20 years old.....what happens when you try and run a 20 year old program on windows 8? Quite sure most 20 year old games require dosbox in order to make it run correctly. Reading back through the past and looking at the future......quite sure EDGE will run faster than the current engine. can a 32 bit program run on a 64 bit system with out being modified? Everytime I try and run the original chuck yeager or B-17 It crashes and I need dosbox. The current engine was designed for a 32 bit system and modified to run on a 64 bit system. EDGE being designed on a 64 bit system and made to run on a 64 bit system will show vast improvements than the current engine.

How come this aircraft never stalls. Jump in the A-10, F-15, Sabre etc and try and do continuous loops in those aircraft. This one however allows you to fly continuous loops, never stalls out or the pilot does not black out . Aircraft seems to handle like it is on rails like the russian aircraft in FC3

yep the key bindings are a bit dodgy, I can't open or close the canopy, just keeps making a hissing sound. Brakes are annoying, not being able to bind the rudder to joystick buttons are also annoying. Many keys can not be bound to the joystick. I agree with the above that key bindings should be standardized across all modules. Other new switches can be added with modifiers but the main keys such as brakes and flaps and canopy should be the same across the board

Freely Placing Flyable Planes On Ramp
Winfield_Gold replied to BooMaster097's topic in Mission Editor
Yep, give up.....it's not possible as SiThSpAwN has previously stated. Editing the co-ords with ++ will not work. Same as trying to change countries after the mission has been created. You can edit country sides in ++, save it but in the mission editor it has no effect -
DCS 1.2.10 Update 1 / Change Log discussion
Winfield_Gold replied to Raven68's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Wags apologised for the patch that was released.......does this mean that testers and 3rd party devs spent too much time testing the modules in the new EDGE engine and not enough time in the povo pack engine? Seems that the issues people have experienced would have been picked up if the modules where tested in the current build and not with the EDGE engine which we have seen so many screen shots of. -
I'd say "the cessna factory"
