I think getting a carrier is a sure thing. Even the modded carrier we have now is pretty good, but either ED or LNS will surely push out a carrier

How about that doesn't take 30 seconds of Lua editing.... Do you really think we would bother with putting the AIM 9 on if it was THAT easy? Way to be a party "breaker" Besides I have read in several places the AIM 9 could be fitted to the M-2000C. And even if that WASN'T the case. . . It is a mod!!!!!!!! :doh:

I'm confused... If the Magic II is only marginal improvements of the Magic I, and the Magic I actually sucked, wouldn't the Magic II kind of suck? Maybe ED has it right and we are all wrong... :megalol: I sure hope not!

I have no intention of using it on a server that doesn't allow such, this will be mostly for coop play with my pals. Would love to figure how to do twin pylons if possible Can other weapons be stuck on using similar edits? Say a AGM 88 for SEAD (In lieu of the ARMAT)? I guess the aircraft not having the avionics for such a weapon right now would be an issue though, right?

It isn't even remotely about the latest technology mattering. ARMAT isn't that great of a missile, It's about the fact that we have three trainers, three interceptors, several strike aircraft and a bunch of WW2 planes, a highly experimental prototype of a helicopter but only ONE aircraft that can do SEAD, and now that we have another aircraft that could have been/was capable of SEAD, and it is believable and possible to mount said weapon, we would love to have it. Especially since it was originally stated to come with the aircraft and show on early WIP screen shots. If you want to stick to reality then P-40s and 109s shouldn't be in the same sim as a M-2000C anyway, the FC3 aircraft shouldn't exists because they, while realistic, are very far from reality... This is a combat sandbox. . . If you don't want the weapon you don't have to use it or even fly SEAD sorties

Maybe you should let me tell you instead of deciding for yourself :doh:... I hate it when words get put into my mouth. You'd probably agree with me more if you read the content of my post, instead of witch hunts about me claiming the MiG is superior to all known aircraft in the history of ever, when I said nothing of the like. . . These guys... Very true. I too find myself picking apart what I know the MiG 21 is weak at when I am in the Mirage, having flown the Fishbed so much I know what points to press... I feel guilty sometimes :) The Mirage certainly has less weaknesses to play to than the MiG 21, but one thing I love about the underdog aircraft (Which both the MiG 21 and Mirage 2000C are part of IMO) is they force you to become that much better of a simpilot to even survive, much more succeed. Great stuff. I'm sure I'll be looking for trouble in the F-5 among others. Agreed on the 104th as well. I freaking love looking for trouble in the MiG with other guys I know who fly it. It is a guaranteed rush when you go out in that plane, as opposed to others where you may run into a boring sortie here and there. . . You also run into immensely skilled pilots in the MiG 21, as the guys who can't make the cut just quit most of the time! I am feeling a similar but also unique challenge with the M2000C on the 104th, in that I am still at a disadvantage, to a lesser degree, but the IFF is making me play very cautiously.

Yea that is pretty sketch. The top speed of the MiG 21 and M-2000C should permit for a MiG getting run down too quickly at that altitude. I would blame that on the unrealistic engine sim that I think is getting fixed next patch. The MiG 21 should actually be able to out perform the M-2000 TWW ratio while in Emergency after burner as well, and right now it cannot outperform in this state, which means the M-2000 has a TWW ratio of over 1.12! This is too high.

The current M-2000C has some overpowered performance issues, but also others that might need tweaking up, the AI is worse. I find human M-2000C pilots to usually be more reasonable than the most diffucult AI because the AI breaks laws of physics :D Can't say I agree though, I'm still getting kills and maintaining a reasonable if not positive K/D ratio in the 21, but also in the M-2000C. It depends on how you fly both, despite the advantages of the Mirage. M-2000C vs MiG 21 is probably still a much better match up than pitting the M-2000C against an Eagle, Flanker, or Fulcrum were it would quickly be in the MiG 21s shoes... maybe worse with the unfinished features. Good kill! Agreed I love both planes, although the adventures and hair raising moments, along with immense satisfaction from hard earned success that I have experienced in the MiG 21 has earned it a very special place in my heart! MiG haters, critics, those who write it off or just have no interest in the bird will never understand how rewarding it is to take up such a legendary yet old fighter and come back sucessful. I don't think the F-5, F-104, or other fighters from the 21s day could pull some off some of the exploits I have had in that plane, although I cannot wait to try in the F-5!

Good videos, good flying. 5:14 on the first one, the Pilot of that MiG 21 lost it. You can tell he has over controlled and put it into the elevator stall state where you basically have to go full stuck and power back to break out of it, and he was way too low at that point.

None the less good flying on your part. I think part of the issue with MiG failing to IFF is the radar is a little bit of a hassle to IFF with in the heat of the moment, and they take a chance and get too trigger happy with R-60s. I ere on the side of caution to avoid friendly fire even if it puts me at peril. It just sucks getting killed by a team mate after a long sortie so I don't want to be part of the problem. Probably one of my favorite incidents of getting into a jam when trying to avoid FF was when I was in a MiG on the 104th not too long ago. I was in a TRE with several aircraft that turned into a furball. I saw an opportunity to get on a F-15s ass but my radar was no longer operating. I called for the guy who I THOUGHT it was in TS to pop two flares. Sure enough two flares come out of the eagle so I break off. As I am turning left while my former target is hard right, what should I see off my 9 but another Eagle with two freshly popped flares behind it. I couldn't believe how bad my luck was... My target had popped flares at the exact same time I asked my friendly too, and he was now right on my six... LOL. Thankfully my buddy bailed me out and I escaped with some damaged from an Aim-9.

Can't argue about it's low speed prowess being a beautiful thing, but it that MiG was me or some of the guys I fly with, you'd been dead. :)

The M-2000C is obviously a better fighter than the MiG, despite the MiG being an incredible Gen 3 fighter, and it will be helped when the features are finished. That being said, I would MUUUUUCH rather fight the Mirage in my mig than a Flanker.

The MiG 15 is also a Interceptor/Bomber killer, so there is indeed 3 interceptors all of which tend to be used for interception the least in the sim
