  1. TACAN reception going on and off during multiplayer sessions is a bug well known and experienced daily by players for many months now. I'm surprised the issue surfaces here on the forums again - ain't there no previous threads reporting the issue in other subforums since ages?
  2. Ist ein mit dem vorletzten Hotfix gekommenener Bug. Der bisher im englischen Forum herausgefundene Workaround schaut so aus, dass man vor dem Start von DCS seine Desktop-Auflösung auf 1080p stellt, dann kann man im Spiel wieder die Schaltflächen im unteren Bereich anklicken. Hoffentlich wird das auch wieder schnell behoben, ist ja kein Zustand so...

  6. I do confirm, today's OB update FUBARs DCS for me in VR beyond usability. First time ever I consider changing to Stable Version. Please don't push that mess to Stable next week!

  8. Received mine two weeks ago, shopped at one of my country's largest PC hardware retailers: http://www.alternate.de They're a significant step up from my Saitek Combat Pedals, they work great and very precise in DCS, and I consider them around 40% overpriced - €300 would've been fair.
  9. @boscoh: There's a multiplayer bug where carrier spawned a/c are out of sync that needs to be fixed by ED before 104th will enable Hornets & SeaFlankers to spawn on their boats again.
  10. +1 for the dynamic mission! All the others are great as well, so you might want to think about a senseful rotation schedule, like e.g. 2 days dynamic, 2 days static missions in rotation...

There's a discrepancy between the Communications Table in the OP here and the ingame Briefing regarding Red Side Comms: In game, red side is briefed to use GCI 257.8 and ATC 128.0. - Not that anyone would reply on any red frequency, but maybe this contributes to bad red side coop... - you will always have people joining who don't read forums. So: which freqs are correct???

  15. ME Bug Report: Spawn crashed into an other client in Kutaisi shelter spawnpoint 34. I was in slot "2B Kutaisi F/A-18C A8", didn't check who or what slot the other client was - think it was rather an Eagle than a Hornet.

    More important to me would be true and flawless multiplayer backseat functionality. No one has delivered in that regard so far for a complex combat aircraft. The L-39 is leader in that field but far from perfect.

Back in the days of Fulda Gap scenarios, the late Cold War, before sensor pods and guided ammo became the standard, air-to-ground radar for target acquisition and low&fast attack runs below radar SAM coverage was the shit. Days of Tornado, Fencer & Viggen. Falcon 4 (AF/BMS) is sweet for this, DCS not yet. Too bad air-to-ground radar is No.Last on the Hornet feature list to be completed...! Hornet & Viper got a/g radar upgrades towards abovementioned doctrine. 1990 and the years to follow changed everything with Gulf War 1 & the end of Cold War - towards asymmetric air war. Today's A-10C wouldn't loiter/LGB over a battlefield with integrated air defense systems and without total air superiority.

And if you say: "aiming for end of September" and then have to delay it twice and bring it out just before X-mas: well, that's "just the normal course of software development"... I think you can start hyping us big time on a daily basis - we can take it, even with more delays. Most here are already happy campers that the medium and hardcore realism mil-flightsim genre didn't die 10 years ago with fading LOMAC & F4AF... F@#k it: your're gonna give us the most iconic of them all! - I even bought FleetDefender on Steam last week to cherish the good old times until you release whenever you're ready. Speaking only for myself: you can't preview-feed me enough, I don't care if that additional workload causes one or two weeks release delay.

  22. I do confirm, SRS and Hornet are no longer connected as of today's DCS OB update.
  23. Standard rate turn is 3 degrees per second, so a 180 degree turn is always 1 minute at standard rate. This works at any speed, higher speeds just make for a larger lateral piece of airspace required for your pattern. If your aircraft can show your track above ground, it’s easy to compensate for wind drift, just fly the headings required to give your correct inbound and outbound tracks. If not, you have to calculate your wind correction angle (WCA) that gives you the required heading for the inbound track towards your holding fix. On the outbound leg, you take that inbound WCA times 3 to compensate for the outbound leg plus wind’s influences on the two 180 degree turns (width of turns).
