  1. Congratulations, I can understand your feeling of accomplishment. If you want to multiply that, stick your nose into DCS multiplayer. It feels quite an achievement to do what you described on a public hardcore server like 104th, Buddyspike, DDCS an alike - add flying tactical formation in a flight of human pilots, manage comms and multiple radios via SRS, build situational awareness from pilots' calls in addition to AI AWACS plus ideally human GCI, hit ground targets, then switch to air-to-air, down a human opponent while keeping up mutual support with your wingies, make it back to the boat in formation after refueling simultaneously on a tanker with other fighters, then do a carrier break with other clients ahead and/or behind and when finally shutdown on deck, chat away about the flight in Teamspeak or Discord while watching others trap or hurry to rearm/refuel to go up again.
  2. Correct, the link plus included sub-link list the features to be expected. None of those obviously warrant a major change in software version nomenclature, it's not like the Hornet got finished or a major new feature like IR rendering, A/G radar, new ATC or weather engines arrive... Is it just coincidence in their planned version count or is it a hint and we are up for a holiday surprise?

  4. Hey there! There have been some speculation threads recently, mainly regarding some modules. Some of those threads took more or less funny directions, revealing attitudes that I as a headshaking spectator find entertaining in itself, like fanbois running crazy like headless chicken... So, to add to the speculation festival weeks, here's my question: Today's weekend news state that next week there will be a 2.5.4 release for Open Beta, current version is 2.5.3.24... - Why are they not upgrading to 2.5.3.3...? - Does it mean the advent of something big, like MAC (2 days before end of fall) or Tomcat? - If so, why are there no teaser trailers or other marketing measures - do they use the OB phase this time for a promo wave towards a stable release of 2.5.4???   7. Falls jemand liebäugelt: Im deutschen Thrustmaster-Webshop gibt's noch bis zum 26.11. 23% Rabatt auf die meisten Produkte. Das macht zum Beispiel für die neuen TPR Ruderpedale €385.- statt €500.-... Ich arbeite nicht für Thrustmaster und hab' auch sonst nix von dieser Info - nur gerade eben im englischen Forum entdeckt.

  10. The Hornets were inserted later into the mission. The three target areas can be visually navigated by clicking through the briefing pictures to the left of the text. There's a pic that shows the map with three red letters for the three TAs. They are northwest of Anapa towards and beyond the Strait of Kerch. Ingame server messages will tell you which one is active.
  11. You have to manually ask for Bogey Dope from time to time to get updates on the closest Bandit. Plus, what controller can’t see, no can call ...

  13. If I recall the feature list correctly, that is planned to not be possible in multiplayer - only in single player. Multiplayer is planned to be only either Jester or client RIO, but no seat switching for the pilot client and no basic AI "Autopilot" while in the rear cockpit. I don't get the reason for this exclusion, IMHO it should remain selectable (here: by server admin) for all game modes, equal to the Jester switching option discussed here. Sorry for OT.
  14. Hi Alpen, looking forward to a PG mission, and thanks for asking our opinions! I don't like Open Range, because it's too close to and features to much of the ugly & flat "out-of-map-bounds" area up north. Plus, the travel distance for blue from Maykop to the valleys west of Min'Vody is too long IMHO. I would instead love to see another mission north of the main Causasus range as an alternative/addition to "Phone Booth", e.g. blue Beslan vs. red Min'Vody, with Nalchik & Mozdok capturable and without overcast cloud layer!
  15. Hey Mav, question: Is the LOtATC version that got released this week the update you mentioned waiting for, bringing the neccessary stability improvements? Is it at least going to be tested for performance with your complex public missions? Kind regards
  16. It's on purpose for the forward bases of each coalition, to delay instant respawn departures a little bit. Aircraft slots at rearward bases have full tanks on spawn due to longer flying times to the FEBA.
