  1. I'm loving Realsimulator's products for more than 15 years now, but this is way too much: Grip 450,00 EUR Tax 94,50 EUR Shipping 45,45 EUR (you serious? - it's only from Spain to Germany!) Total 589,95 EUR I'd love to, but no thanks! Waiting for WinWing combo reviews.
  2. Yeah, you wish - as we all do here...! Was replying with known stuff, don't know if any Heatblur official ever even said the word 'Tornado'...
  3. Very cool, thank you! Springfield & Battle for Sukhumi are my favorite missions.
  4. They still got a lot on their plate: Tomcat bugfixing, feature completion (e.g. TWS Auto, Jester abilities), then TF-30 and A-model, AI Intruder & Draken...
  5. A nickel on the grass, blue skies & tailwinds für den verunglückten Kameraden, mein Beileid an die Hinterbliebenen!
  6. And nothing yet here in Germany.
  7. I would suppose VKB didn‘t get their hands on one of the new TM Hornet grips themselves to try out and safely answer that question...
  8. In order of priority: Tornado IDS / ECR F-4E/F AH-64A/D Su-27/33 HiFi MiG-29A/G HiFi F-15C HiFi A-10A HiFi Su-25A/T HiFi Su-24 F-16D F/A-18D (T)F-104G T-45C (A)T-6 Texan II OH-58 H-60 (A/K)C-130 plus an Alpine Region map from southeastern France to Austria incl. Switzerland, Southern Germany & Northern Italy! And all w/in the next 3-5 years, please, I’m not getting any younger here...! ;-)
  9. Entry Level (A)FAC article for mil-Flightsimmers: https://www.simhq.com/_air/air_092a.html Also availble as .pdf
  10. The F-16C preview video showing off the wip Syria map triggered the fact for me that we are getting more and more aerodromes on the Nevada, PG & Syria theaters that are dedicated fighter bases equipped with NATO standard cable arresting sytems. With the technology and physics being already coded for the carriers, it would be a really great addition and step towards procedural realism if we could get land-based cables at least for those airbases that have them irl. Given our abundant use of live ammo and widespread material-expensive flying style in the sim, there's plenty of opportunities throughout all DCS gaming styles to make fair use of those cables... With an ATC overhaul on the horizon, the realistic use of cables could even be extended to only the departure end cables of the active RWYs being permanently in place and the approach end cables having to be requested from ATC throught the comms menu and needing 5 minutes installation delay.
  11. Contrails don’t persist long enough in DCS to pull this off.
  12. You know you're an addict when your first thought on the way to the toilet is: "Wtf is that Patriot launcher doing there?" (click preview image to see correct rotation)
  13. I'd like to oppose that generalization - let's see: - F-14: "A" yes, "B" no - F-15: no (SOP seems to be to extend the board during flare or upon main gear touchdown) - F-16: yes - F-18: no - F-22: no - F-35: no - Tornado: no - Eurofighter: no - MiG-29 family: no (older versions can't even extend brakes w/ gear down) - Su-27 family: no (may be optional, seen used similar to F-15) The use of extended airbrakes on approach is very aircraft type specific and mostly determined by the following factors: - engine rev change capabilities - location of airbrakes on airframe (ground clearance, airflow/lift disturbance, arm & moment effects of brake extension/retraction)
  14. No timeline on the VR optimization. According to Wags, optimization for the Caucasus map is finished in closed beta and inbound to the testers. The other maps are WIP and there's no word whether the optimizations will be released staggered per map or for all maps together once finished.
  15. It's a DCS bug that TACANs intermittently stop working and come back later in MP. It has been around for a long long time and has nothing to do with the F-14.
  16. I wonder how stuff like this happens in way more updates than not?! Talking about DCS in general here, not necessarily Heatblur in particular... Loads of tweaking with too little testing?
  17. Same here, Jester wheel got unusably broken in VR by today's update.
  18. Yep, would be a smart move and put their lineup of grips in the lead of the race for our bucks. I was also hoping for realsimulator.com but Spain is again silent for ages...
  19. Virpil just announced that they intend to take on that market as well. Posting their announcement picture here in the forum section of the "other" hardware company had to result in confusion. So, focus, everyone, and get your picture sorted: - VKBsim is not VPC/Virpil - both are now doing an F-14A/B grip - they are not cooperating - competition is good for us customers I like that we get to read/watch reviews and comparisons and that we get to vote the better product with our credit cards. Next, both need to come up with an F-14D/F-15/F-18/Harrier/Tornado-like grip plus a less generic/eastern throttle quadrant to go with, imho!
  20. Don't aim too modern, guys, this is beyond F-14D level. A 1980ies GR.1 or IDS would be perfectly fine, maybe the first british version that could carry ALARMs or the german Marine (= Navy) version that was Kormoran-ASM- and basic-HARM-capable. Anything beyond that like e.g. ECR is too classified and out of the current scope of DCS-capabilities and -possibilities. Imagine doing 550 KIAS at 200 FT GND in IMC, with terrain-following autopilot in hardride mode, deep inside enemy territory, while the backseater id's the target bridge on the A/G radar.
  21. +1 for the Tornado, please!
  22. Open Beta Update 03-27-2019 states: - Fixed JESTER going crazy and rambling during A2A refueling Seems like not fixed yet, I had the "play all AAR comments in loop" bug yesterday and today again.
