  1. Looks great. Did you increase mountain texture draw distance from previous release?
  2. No question default eyepoint feels too far forward. No question when head position moved back to better feeling eye position HUD is not in full view. Question is if it is accurate or intended to have pilot lean in to view full hud? Could be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZON5gqGHsA
  3. I believe Mustang's texture pack passes the multiplayer validation check. At least it did before.. not sure with his new 1.18 or 1.2 release
  4. Played yesterday for the first time in a while. New features are great but holy cow lots if chat commands to get objective info. Anyone using voice or some other intuitive hotas friendly solution go navigate and input open conflict commands in chat with success? Sent from my A1-860 using Tapatalk
  5. Is there any recognition of this from the dev's? I looked in to the mod highlighted earlier in this thread and it does not apply to A-10a and is not ideal for A-10C. In short the 'eye box' as they call it in the HUD industry is too far forward. Is this done to accommodate VR setups? Is it done to accommodate pixel density at 1080P? The F-15C seems to be OK, it is largely an A-10A and A-10C problem. Hoping someone from the dev side or the mod community can help. It's a real problem at 4K. Note - here's a great video that shows real life head position in an A-10. I think this shows really well the natural FOV in the cockpit. As the poster above says putting the head position in the right spot in DCS gives a pretty good representation of this. But the HUD is blown up way too big.   6. How do you get the high res mountain texture to fully render at a greater distance? What is the noise / LUA setting that manages this?
  7. link above only shows on field textures, not on textures with high noise and other random contrast content. I requested Starway post screenshots with ground units on other locations (not fields) but I haven't seen a response yet.
  8. Like your other screen shots could you please post stock vs your mod for TGP or Shikval examples. I am most interested in ground unit visibility / contrast on the textures with high noise (not farm fields).
  9. totally agree. All planes on all sides with loose briefings means most servers are just lone wolf gathering areas. DCS multiplayer needs help from the community and the developer.
  10. Can we get some high res (game resolution 1080p or 2160p) using the starway texture pack? Be great to see some with ground units.

  13. I strongly recommend a graphite dry lube between the collar and joystick shaft. I spent almost an entire screen weekend fixing a sticky squeaky x55 trying everything. for me graphite worked the best.

  15. I am on 8gb and have no issues even when vram is maxed on my 970gtx. I run off SSD. do you have an ssd you can try?
  16. also linked objectives and team reward system would be nice. I don't know f anyone here has played arma domination which uses new units and weapon availability to players as objectives are completed. not saying this works in DCS but some meta system in open conflict would bring it to the next level. lastly is there a way to connect two sessions together and have some status or progress carry from one session to another? at the 3.5hr mark when game resets its a bit strange.

  18. thanks for setting this up. Can't wait to start coordinating in a way that only voice can enable. I hope the regulars I see on the server migrate over. I would like to learn from them during operations and training in the protected zone. I need lots of help with CAP in the SU-27 and the F-15.
  19. Joined the TS today. No one on, but it's new so hopefully people start to utilize it. Also - could not join Blue or Red rooms -> channel maxclient reached (even though I was the only one on the server).

I've found success in achieving very high settings, 4K resolution and 60FPS (displayed) in almost all scenarios (online and single player) on my modest I7 4.2ghz / 970 GTX / 8GB. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2716142&postcount=45 Yes I know... it's cheating.. and latency is increased... but I'm super happy with the results!
