  2. Yes, that's why I'm asking those who've done it themselves, because a single tap would be totally sufficient (after undesignating any TG with the first tap anyway).
  3. All I'm saying is why double tap, if (after undesignating any TGT) one press would also sufficient for toggling. Regardless if C or E modell. It's just the KISS principle.
  4. Hay GB and Lex, if you can remember, did you need a double tap on Undesignate button for the FLIR to switch to VVSLV? Just asking, because the Super Hornet needs only one press for toggling between snowplow and VVSLV (if you don't have any TGT designated), and a lot of stuff was taken over from the C model regarding switchology I surmise.   6. That's right, however I do not understand, why a double press needed, when a single pres (after Undesignating any tgt) would totally suffice to toggle between snowplow and VVSLV. In the Super Hornet this is the case, and makes even more sense to me. Maybe function misunderstood by the designers?

  8. You might be right, but a couple of updates back Cage Long was definitely responsible for toggling between FLIR and CCD, and Cage Short was I guess FLIR Boresight. I even reported that the long press is buggy (also SCS FWD Long for HMD was wrong), as it only kicked in after you released the button, no matter how long you held it, and not after 0.8 seconds. The long press was fixed in the meantime btw.

  10. Hi Guys, I don't know if it goes only with MAV on the other DDI, but when you press Cage with priority diamond on FLIR, it will switch to LST now. What is the purpose or reson behind it? Thanks
  11. Some observations/questions about FLIR. 1. Why the double tap necessary on "Undesignate" for VVSVL, if you do not have anything designated anyways? I dunno how is it in RL Hornet FLIR, but on the Super Hornet, you have to press Undesignate only once to toggle between snowplow and VVSLV, if you do not have anything designated. It makes more sense too I guess. Bug or maybe just misunderstanding of original function of "undesignating any TGT with first press then toggling snowplow/VVSLV with subsequent single presses"? 2. The VVSVL dot seems to have disappeared from the VV centre, so you can't tell through the HUD wheter you are in VVSVL or not. 3. Offset (little) cross can be slewed outside of screen/view boundaries, which hardly makes sense I guess, as you can't see where is it aiming, plus you can loose it alltogether by blindly slewing it around, and can't steer it back into view ever again. Thanks for looking into it

  17. In OB there is no VVSLV dot. Just re-checked. Also, MavE only locks if you press pickle. Another press fires it. Not sure why...

With the priority diamond on the FLIR (while MAV/E on the left DDI) if I toggle Cage/Uncage button, FLIR goes into LST mode then back to FLIR. Bug or feature? Thanks for clarification
  19. Do not mix glide slope angle with a simple descent.
  20. Probably this (about FPAS): 2.3.1.4 HSI with Waypoint or TACAN Steering Selected. If waypoint or TACAN steering is selected on the HSI display, the fuel remaining at arrival and the miles from the waypoint or TACAN station to begin descent are displayed on the HSI display. When FPAS cannot calculate fuel remaining and the point to begin descent, invalid Xs are displayed for these parameters. If TAS exceeds Mach 0.9, blanks are displayed. If fuel remaining at the waypoint or TACAN station is less than the TO XXXX LB legend, the WYPT number, the TO XXXX LB legend on the FPAS display and the fuel remaining on both the FPAS and HSI displays is flashed.

  22. Yeah, I only tought about roll trimm. Rudder for sure.
  23. Sideslip indicator has nothing to do with trimming out assymetric loadout.
