  1. It is also bad with the Deltasim upgrade (wich is worth every penny by the way. I know waiting time is measured in months for a long time now, but what else you can do apart of ordering now and waiting? Moaning for a long waiting time without ordering?). With the original WH "slew nipple" it was even worse. The problem is, if you tune down this axis to be smooth on the HUD designation, it will become very slow on every other (proper) slew function. Reported as a bug here https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/7146966-correct-as-is-auto-bombing-td-box-slew-still-way-too-sensitive First they replied it is [CORRECT AS IT IS], but as far as I know, now someone with RL experience chimed in to have ED correct it nonetheless.
  2. I don't think parallax has anything to do with aparent HUD symbology size change. The reason is HUD projection is to the best of my knowledge is focused AND projected to infinity. Focused to infinity means your eyes doesn't have to adjust / shift focus between the dot of a distant aircraft miles away, and the HUD's green radar box around it, like old eyes need to do when looking up from reading the newspaper to look to something in a distance. This is usually compensated by wearing "reading glass" to read, but no glass for driving for instance. Those old eyes wouldn't need glass to read HUD symbology, because it appears sharp for them, being in the infinite distance, and not in the plane of the HUD glass, 1.5 feet from the old eyes Projected to infinity means the entire HUD symbology always has the same apparent size (width x height) for your eyes, so if you would slide back far enough, the HUD glass FOV would not be big enough to accomodate all the HUD picture, loosing the edges of symbology, and if you would slide forward and bump your forehead to the HUD, you would see the symbology absolutely the same size and the same apparent distance from your eyes, but the HUD glass FOV would be much bigger, so that you couldn't even see the HUD glass edges, like wearing a scuba goggle. It is the same as a red dot sight on a rifle. It is always pointing to the same point in infinity, even if you shift your head around, that's why "no parallax error". If you shift head too much, you won't even see the red dot.
  3. Hi There, every time I enter a module, my head position is off to the right by about 1 feet (and a little low too). I can adjust it with Shft+Ctrl NUM keys, and then save it with RAlt+NUM 0, but it only helps within the same session. And if afet saving, I press Shft+Ctrl NUM5, it is offsetting again. Also, next time I enter some other, or the same module, I'm off to the right again. What am I doing wrong? Thanks EDIT: disregard, fixed by unchecking "User snapview saving" in Options / Misc. page.

  4. I'm not a RL pilot, but I guess TPOD slew is one thing (if you have one), and TD diamond slew through the HUD is completely another. Not having a TPOD for dum bombs should deny proper TD box slew through the HUD? I tought this is exactly the case (absent of TPOD), what HUD designation were made for. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong...
  5. After designating with the ball and chain, the TD box slew is still VERY jumpy (I guess already reported way back?). Impossible to make any fine adjustment of the diamond, considering you already placed it as near to the target as best you can anyways. It should rather crawl with slewing, and not jump light years in all directions when trying to fine adjust, even with the Warthog Throttle slew upgrade mod. Totally contraproductive, hard to belive it would work like this in real life. Thanks for adressing it.
  6. Absolutely true. This is why there is a Vr (rotation speed) and then the V2 (lift-off speed) some 5-10 knots later. At Vr you are still pretty much at or below stall speed...
  7. Takeoff/rotation speed is just above stall speed, so no wonder you have to pull the stick excessively. My 2 cents only...

  9. Maybe this? fix for losing Rudder control on Saitek X56 Rhino - Technical Support - LockOnFiles
  10. Did you go into Control Panel / Devices and Printers, then RIGHT mouse click on rudder and Game controller settings, then select Rudder Pedals from the controllers and Properties?
  11. Unfortunately this has been reported one way or the other several times in the past, but ED couldn't find the reason, or couldn't reproduce it to look at, or wasnt' there any track to look at, I loooked up some bug reports for you describing pretty much the same problem: gun pipper sitting too low, a.k.a. gun shooting high/long: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/272155-need-more-info-f-a-18c-aggressors-a-a-gun-reticle-is-inaccurate https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/277964-gun-aiming-sometimes-skewed http://https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/279217-reported-earlier-gun-ccip-innaccurate https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/279440-cannot-reproduce-please-provide-a-track-file-gun-accuracy https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/212760-unable-to-reproduce-f18-gun-sight-accuracy I dunno when this could be fixed...
  12. Auto Browse checked
  13. I can't call up the Tabs, what am I doing wrong? Saying "Kneeboard" without pressing any TX button brings up the interactive page alright, but just can't browse through the tabs... ?
  14. OK, thanks ! Then it is not too much for those who had it already, unless they want to buy some more licences soon (and don't want to have problem with unsuccessful activation attempts), right?...
  15. Anybody knows what changed in 2.5.23.1 compared to 2.5.23 released just days ago? Update notification just popped up on me again...
  16. Page 45?: Call “AWACS…Page” or “Anvil…Page” etc. to browse to a tab (enable the Auto Browse option (EX) to browse without use of the Page command)
  17. Hay Hollywood, great job! A constructive remark: your link on the bottom of VAICOM Manual page 76 still points to the April update of the Supercarrier guide. Since then, I guess May 28 version is the very latest, altough there is a May 11 version on the DCS Docu SC page. The May 28 version has the Case III departure picture corrected, without any clearing turn on page 43. This can be found I think only in the Doc folder of the Supercarrier modul, if you own it.
  18. Hi Guys, in game time seems totally off from any requested push time. How can I set push time then? Thanks
  19. It is the in game standard JTAC Axeman, on 144.25 MHz VHF AM, I guess. 9-line, readback etc...
  20. On another note for the same matter, despite the smoke mark, infantry is among the trees, so you can't see what you supposed to shoot at.
  21. Hi BD, in Mission 16, turning over the troops in contact to get to the requested attack heading onto the Willy Pete marked infantry, JTAC screams ABORT ABORT ABORT. Uhmmm... what?... By the way, the requested attack heading puts you on the high side of a horseshoe shape valley.
  22. Check all your key and controller bindings thoroughly. Updates sometimes mess up previously perfect key assignments in the most unexpected ways. Also check all of your controller assignments, they can also take up unwanted functions never assigned before.
  23. OK, some question about it over there in that topic then, so not to be off topic...
  24. Awww great... After I couldn't progress in your EW 3.0 due to some consistent crashes as a side effects from ED updates, I've put DCS aside for being freakin disappointed. After months, I just got back to it, seeing at last some significant amount of updates for F-18, and I even committed to buy Raven One. Mission 1 was great, just to come up then to Mission 2 being broken yet again due to ED's own update. I really dunno what to say... :no_sad:
  25. Mission 2 taxi, left wheel or wing stuck ? Hi There, for whatever reason when I start taxiing out, my left wheel (or wing?) gets stuck as if I would stand on the left brake, with more throttle the nose wanders to the left and the aircraft starts to flip over to the right. Is the aircraft stuck on the crewman maybe or the wing onthe adjacent aircraft? See screenshot. With even more throttle, after some struggling aircarft gets loose, but multiple "F-18 Hornet damaged" message line pops up...
