DCS manual Page 70: An X in both CH1 and CH3 of PROC row indicates INS data is not being provided to the FCCs for sideslip and AOA estimation calculations. There is no significant degradation to flying qualities, departure resistance or roll performance with these failure indications. (Above approximately 30° AOA in Flaps AUTO, the FCCs use INS data for sideslip and sideslip−rate feedback to provide roll coordination and departure resistance. If INS data is not available, sideslip control, departure resistance and roll performance may be slightly degraded).

How?
-
Nope. VV indicates wind drift. Ball indicates slip / uncoordinated turn.
-
Would make sense, for sure, unless there is something against it that none of us recognized yet. Just because if there wouldn't be anything against it, I think they would have done it like this already. But I think you should ask G B or LEx about this. It is beyond my knowledge.
-
You are not the one drifting left, it is the carrier sails ~10° your right. Think about a situation with no wind at all, then all you have wind over deck is due to the carrier speed, as she "pulls your lineup" to your right side, continuously. Of course if there is wind, it makes it even worse, but the main cause is rather carrier speed. That's why you have to "aim" to the right side of the landing strip almost all the way.

Get EGIW everytime. But I didnt pull throttle back.

Did you try to search the forum for EGIW maybe? -
You can also check it in Controls / Axis command screen. Scroll down to your "Brake" commands and pump the pedals. A white line will extend to one extent of the box bottom when pressed, then to the other extent when released.

Where did you see that?

The image of CASE III departure in SC manual is wrong.

Where did you see any berating? :smilewink: -
While in game, Alt Tab out, Open VAICOM Control Panel, Audio Tab, start Chatter and start playing with Audio output drop down menu and Redirect switch on and off.

Someone mentioned 3PTSIW is gone for him, since he throttles up just before touchdown. Try it, maybe helps.
-
Just flying it is easy. Flying it right is very difficult.

You don't need unclassified or any "other" document. The drawing just doesn't match it's own (proper) description text above it. Read carefully in the original attachment: Case III departures are flown at night and when weather conditions are IMC (WX below 1000-5), and a controlled climb is required. The aircraft will launch on Departure Control frequency, with a minimum launch interval of 30 seconds between aircraft. Following the launch, climb straight ahead at 300 kts, crossing 5 NM at 1500 AGL or above; at 7 NM, turn to intercept the 10 NM arc. Continue climbing and join the departure radial. Does it help? -
True. But if you turn it off, you will have no feedback whether VA recognised what you said already, and you will wondering why nothing happens ocasionally. My 2 cents only...

I stand corrected, thanks for info !

I'm not GB, but I think left DDI is usually the HUD repeater, the right is pretty much pilots preference. I would advise HSI there, so Advisory line doesnt mask the "lateral distance" from TACAN/BRC line, neighter in Marshall stack, nor on Case I downwind.
-
Nope, why would it bother warning you on a field landing to lower the hook by blinking?
-
How many right DDIs you have? For landing at least two, as I count them?... :D HUD you meant to the left DDI, I suppose...
-
For good measure I simply printed out those VAICOM manual pages 50-70 as a pdf adobe print menu "booklet" format (resulting in a A/5 size (in Europe at least) little page flipper). Just because there might be alternatives or modifications for better VA recognition/distinction. I definitely recommend it to every VAICOM user.
-
True, until you are using the predetermined keywords/expressions, collected in Vaicom Pro manual, pages 50 through 70. Inbound is indeed inbound, but a simple "Inbound" will give you reply from a (nearest?) land based airfield. "Inbound for carrier" what you should use for a carrier check in, I guess... :smartass:

Sorry then, didn't see it. Someone please delete this post of mine being redundant. Thanks for feedback. -

FLIR on right DDI, switch to A/A, FLIR comes over to left DDI ... instead of Stores page appearing. Thanks for looking it up.
