Like the man quoted says, this does seem like fire caused by having your throttles not set to idle, as explained in the manual:
-
I take off, establish a level flight, and now try to trim. In this particular example I have to push the stick forward in order to keep a level flight, so I press on the trim down button several time (or rather, I hold it down), until the aircraft begins to pitch down. At this point I start to move the stick slowly back to neutral position while still applying trim, hoping that I can match the rate of pitch change from the trimmer with the rate of pitch change from the stick, until the point where the stick is in neutral and the pitch from the trimmer is now enough to keep me level. However, that never seems to work out for me. I either end up overshooting and applying too much trim, or I end up moving the stick back to neutral before there is enough trim and the airplane pitches up. What's even worse is that, if I make any changes to the aircraft, such as increase/decrease thrust or make a turn, I now have to again re-adjust my trim. In other words, I'm a complete newbie to flying and would like to know if there are some kind of established techniques to proper use of trim, or maybe some tips on how to go about doing it. I've flown the A-10C and the KA-50 modules of DCS and they both have autopilot that can stabilise your flight for you, so I'm not used to manually trimming all the time and seem to be very bad at it.

Keyboard Commands Not Working.. amongst other thingsguitarxe replied to Dogman's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog You have downloaded and installed the drivers for your hardware, right?

So from reading manuals of several aircraft in DCS, it seems like all of them are capable of showing the true indicated airspeed by taking into account air density and humidity changes with altitude and all that. However on cockpit instruments, it is the indicated airspeed that is more prominent and on the HUD you see IAS only. So how come? Why does it seem like IAS is a more important indicator for pilots than the actual true airspeed?

Question about tutorials, both in-game and outguitarxe replied to guitarxe's topic in Su-25 for DCS World Ohhh, I was searching for DCS SU-25. Probably that's why I couldn't find these. I'll take a look at those, thanks!

Hey, guys, could you please take it off the forums, into PMs or something? Here we have a nice topic discussing manpads with lots of wonderful and helpful information, and then we have you two going at each other's throats.

Question about tutorials, both in-game and outguitarxe replied to guitarxe's topic in Su-25 for DCS World Do you happen to have saved a link? I have searched youtube for SU-25 tutorials but haven't seen any from ED. I also can't find these. I found the ones for the KA-50, but not for the SU-25

I've seen a lot of videos where the camera moves down a bit to have a better look at lower panels. Now I have no idea how people are able to do this, because I don't have a neck like a turtle! <p>I can only move my head down maybe a few centimeters by sort of shrugging down, so I'm really interested in how people are able to accomplish this?

They are all in a similar location as what AndyJWest pointed to for the P-51. i.e, in DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\[name of aircraft you want]\Doc You will also find some other useful documentation in there, like charts and stuff.

If I download the training for the SU-25, what should I expect? Is it going to be very low-quality videos with no possibility to rewind or move around like it is for the SU-25T? Also, are there any other tutorials I could rely on to learn? I've seen some on youtube, but those only deal with flying the aircraft, navigating. None of them actually show how to employ weapons. And speaking of employing weapons, exactly how does one actually fly a combat mission in the SU-25? For example, if you were in an A-10C you would fly at a pretty high altitude, and stay far far away from your targets. Most air defences should have been cleared by the time you were called in, so should not have a lot of worry then. If there are any around you target you use your long-range missiles (mavericks I think?) to take them out, then bomb the hell out of those tanks. Any heavier air defences you can call in a SEAD flight to take care of it. But for the SU-25... you ARE the SEAD/DEAD flight. How should you be flying?

Might be a dumb question, but are you pushing the stick 10% forward or 10 degrees forward?

Oh, it looks like the video started playing in 3D mode somehow. Sorry, bud!
-
Something is wrong with the video... it's like stretched out beyond the player's borders and the colours are all out of whack.

	 Thank you!

Weren't there some interactive training missions for A-10C? I'm sure I read someone mentioning them somewhere, but I've searched the forums and the wiki and I still come up empty :(

What about placing bets? Mine goes on noodle soup onto server rack. :smilewink:

The what pointy things on the wings?

I bought the module a few days ago and read through the manual, but there was nothing about starting up the aircraft and then shutting it down. In fact when I was looking at the controls, there really wasn't much other than activating power and engines. Is that really all there is to it? Just keyboard shortcuts for power and engines? I know this module isn't as hi-tech as some of the other DCS titles, but still a bit confused.

	Oh, sorry buddy! I misunderstood.
-
Hm? I see a perfectly centered axis there on that screenshot.

I don't understand. You mean you are trying to UPDATE to 1.2.6? In that case, I don't think there is an installer just to do an update. For that you have to use the auto-updater, however slow it might be (it's fast enough on my end).
