  1. +1 Captain Orso
  2. I could swear that I saw a meat ball on the Kuz just the other day. I'll go back and take a look this evening when I get home from work.
  3. Glad to see that someone has come to their senses!! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=209869
  4. This is very helpful! Thanks Rudel
  5. How much of the Mediterranean sea will be shown on the map? Enough for a carrier to paddle around in?
  6. Is there a guide to how the various SAMs in this sim are set up? Specifically, which radars are required for which SAMs and how they are placed in the ME.
  7. AI might be able to but I still can't! EDIT: That was with full fuel and no ordinance.
  8. ++1 for the Super Stallion but RAZBAM needs to figure out the spawn points on their Tarawa first. Those will not work spawning on the center line of the flight deck!
  9. ED, would it be possible to provide some additional radio callsigns for the Tankers? With the addition of the KC-130, KC-135MPRS, to the S-3B, KC-135 and IL-78M, it is a bit confusing if you have more than 3 tankers in a mission.
  10. Any news or updates on the new S3 Viking tanker that is slated to be released with new refueling physics?
  11. This is AWESOME Cobra!! :pilotfly:
  12. I think that the issue is more the systems management for the individual aircraft rather than the flight models. The more realistic the flight model, the better as far as I am concerned but when the newbie has to learn to manage all of the complex systems associated with each type, whether it be manifold pressure/RPM along with coolant and oil temps and cowl flaps and radiator louvers, or all the functions of a modern radar. I believe this is where we lose some that are just in it for the fun of feeling like a pilot without having to study for a week before even being able to start the engine. I'm not judging mind you, just making an observation.
  13. They probably ran out of rivets to count! :megalol:
  14. Ive Never heard of a MAX wind but the optimum wind is 31 knots.
  15. Captain Orso, if you choose a static Harrier and place it on the deck, it will appear there but you will need to check the box for "offset something or other" and then click on the drop down menu that allows you to associate the Harrier with the Tarawa. You can then move it around and place it any way you like. For helos, like the Seahawks or Super Sea Stallion, the blades will be folded as soon as you assign the ship they will be associated with. This system is identical for the carrier.
  16. I didn't know they could fly! But if they can, they'd be a first day buy for me DEFINITELY!!! :megalol:

    A6 Intruder

I won't be too disappointed if RAZBAM leaves the A-6 to Heatblur provided they follow through with their intention to do an A-7 Corsair. I honestly believe that Heatblur's Jester technology will be a great fit for the Intruder but I have very high hopes for RAZBAM's Corsair II
  18. The vapor trail off the wingtips seems to be a little off but it's a beautiful job RAZBAM! Thank you very much
  19. I have no idea what turns that message on for the F/A-18, but for the old JFTD-12A on our S-64 Sky Cranes, there is a small temp sensor bonded to the back side of the air intake. When it senses a temp of less than 30 degrees F, it triggers the caution light in the cockpit. If we then turn on the Anti-ice, which ports hot bleed air into the Bellmouth inlet, that sensor sees the temp rise and it will extinguish the caution light. When you turn off the Anti-ice, a few minutes later the caution light will come back on. The JFTD-12A's on our Cranes are turbojet engines with a free turbine bolted on the back end that were also installed on the old NA T-39 Saber Liner and the Lockheed C-140 Jetstar.
  20. Give this a read! https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Flying+Black+Ponies&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss
  21. That is exactly what happens. You are leaning out in the bubble, keeping an eye on holding your position by looking around at land marks and NOT the water! The copilot is giving you a running account of the water quantity and you are slowly adding collective to keep your wheels at a constant elevation above the water - about 3 feet or so. Each load is increased by the amount of fuel burned so that you can maximize your efficiency. It takes about 40 seconds to get a load. If you watch the second Crane, you'll notice that he is entering the dip with his tank still unarmed and the doors are open. You will see a huge gush of water pouring out as he begins to snorkel, which is when he notices that he forgot to arm the tank. Stuff happens! :megalol:
  22. I am in the first Crane. That was a long time ago and it seems like I spend more time behind a desk now days than behind a cyclic
  23. The Bronco will definitely be a first day buy for me!!
  24. No, that video was made quite a while ago by a very talented pilot of ours by the name of Earl Waters. He worked for us about 5-6 years ago and sadly, moved on to greener pastures. He has a website called "Hoverman" I think.
