  1. Fargging BEAUTIFUL X-Man!! Thanks man!
  2. This is a modual that I am going to buy the first day available for pre-purchase!
  3. Is RAZBAM working on getting helicopters to spawn on the spots painted on the deck for helicopters instead of the tram line?
  4. Here you go, try this: http://www.aviationexplorer.com/Virtual_E6B_Flight_Calculator_Emulator.html Just scroll down a ways to find the virtual E-6B
  5. It's such a bizzar statement that I can't help but think he was trying to pay you a tongue in cheek compliment. Anyway, if he wasn't, he should have been. Graeat job X-man!! and thank you.
  6. That's really great X-man! The Guardian may be a tool, but he's OUR tool and we like him!
  7. That works for me!! :pilotfly:
  8. Have you got an E-6B? Go online and google it. I have a link for one at home on my gamer. You can use it to determine what the ship's course and speed needs to be in order to achieve 30-31 knots over the deck with little or no drift. I wouldn't set your ship's speed at anything more than 20-25 knots.
  9. Beautiful X-Man!!
  10. I have to agree! :megalol:
  11. Zaku, any chance of convincing you to post that skin for the Omega KC-135MPRS?
  12. Yeah Robert, I have a fairly active imagination, and the map is not all that important to me but the carrier is hard to disguise. Somehow, the Corsair rolling out in the groove behind the Stennis or a Forrestall class carrier would sand away whatever wood I started out with!! :megalol:
  13. I doubt very seriously that the developers pay much attention to what we think they should devote their resources to but if they ever do, I'd vote for a priority being put on the Crusader. It will look great sitting on one of the Forestall class CVA's that HB is building. I say this with great reluctance because I am a huge Corsair fan and especially if it were operating off a carrier but I am just not confident that it will be released with a proper WWII era carrier and we'll only have a map of Iwo Jima to putter around on. So, if my vote counted, it would be for the Mig Killer!!
  14. While I am really excited about the improvements to the ATC environment, I wonder if ED or Wags could comment on whether there are plans to expand the number of spawn points on the carrier deck. Ideally, the carrier deck would have numbered spawn locations all over the deck that the mission builder would be able to choose from and have the planes spawn on the deck at those spots just as we have for airfields. Keep up the great work Wags, it just keeps getting better and better!!
  15. Can't wait to be throwing money at you for the Crusader and Corsair!!
  16. Thanks JEFX. I'll study some more.
  17. Is there a tutorial out there for the use of Flags? I think I understand the use of triggers and zones but the Flags are a total mystery to me.:book:
  18. This issue seems so easy to fix, or at least to attempt to fix. If they can establish a spawn point for the 4 catapults and 5 other positions, I do not understand why they cannot, or are reluctant to establish additional spots. I have no doubt that it is a lot more complicated than it appears to be but I still think that they could do it if they put their minds to it. Look at the problems with the Tarawa. The helicopters are all spawning in the tram line that is there for the Harrier to use for takeoff. RAZBAM claims that they can't fix it, that it is an ED issue. For all the warts though, I am still very happy with what we have today. No doubt that there is a lot of room for improvement and I am very confident that ED will address some of these concerns but I just hope it will be sooner than later.
  19. Really well done!
  20. I didn't take that from his statement at all. It sounded to me like he said that you (the pilot) could jump into the back seat, which is a far cry from being able to have a second :breather" along for the ride.
  21. It would be nice to see any WIP shots for the Forestal class
  22. I am less interested in the size of the moon than I am about how it comes and goes. It seems that ED has gotten a pretty good hold on what happens when the sun rises and sets but they have totally missed the boat for the moon. On a date that has a full moon rising at some point in the late afternoon, the sky goes completely dark as soon as the sunset effect is finished and stays that way for quite some time until the full moon decides to appear as though someone just flipped a light switch. Same thing for the sunrise. The moonshine will disappear like someone just turned the lights off and it gets very dark and then we'll see a beautiful sunrise!
  23. I don't think that the OP is looking for crosswind tips, I believe that he is commenting on the effects that a measly 6 kts of crosswind has on a 30+ thousand pound jet on takeoff. I agree with him. I think it's a bit overdone.
  24. Exceptionally well said!!
  25. Silly question here but I gotta ask. Are you guys pulling the trigger or pushing the weapons release button?? I believe that anything that "shoots" away from the aircraft, such as the gun or any of the missiles requires that you pull the trigger instead of pushing a button. I could be wrong but I seem to recall that this is true for the HARM at least.
