  1. DCS Hurricane MKII, Spitfire MKVb and a New Guinea and Malay Peninsula campaign.
  2. Due date for the FW190 is April at this stage according to the DCS WW2 rewards section, although that is subject to change depending on circumstances. RRG are responsible for the cockpit design. Cheers, Scream.
  3. That is one very nice looking 109! Can't wait to fly it. Well done Ilya and team. :)
  4. +1 Hang in there Ilya, remember there is always coffee!
  5. I was going to ask that same question. I've selected the P51 for DCS World as I received my key at the end of the kickstarter, so hopefully everything matches up right.
  6. Evening all, so who's round is it?
  7. Thanks for the update Ilya, it looks like things are coming along nicely. I'm not that fussed about updates, one a month would be fine. I'd rather see a solid monthly update rather than small weekly ones. The main thing is to get to the finish line! Looking forward to next year.
  8. Thanks Vedexent, this sounds like the problem, I'll give it a try tonight. Cheers, Scream.
  9. Thanks Winfield, Does that mean that the only way to use a different livery for a mission, say for example in a quick mission, free flight, is to create a new mission? Is there a way you can just select a different livery within the standard missions. Sorry about all this, just a little confusing after coming over from Cliffs Of Dover, must be a lot of us trying to find our way around things since the start of the DCSWW2 project. All I want to do is just fly with a different paint job! Cheers, Scream.
  10. Hi all. I am new to the DCS system. I have installed some new liveries for the P51 D Mustang but the mission editor will not allow me to save any changes. I change the aircraft livery and then click the save file button. When I try to exit the mission builder it says I have unsaved changes. I click yes on the prompt but this fails to save any changes. Only way to exit mission editor is to click no and lose all changes. Help! Thanks,Scream.
  11. Ah... yes... guilty as charged bongo. I'll admit to being a dusty old goth! I was a massive Sisters Of Mercy fan back in the eighties and nineties, still am. I used to fly IL2 with "Floodlands" as my inflight music. Always thought that their song "Dominion,Mother Russia" would make a great track for one of Mysticpuma's videos. Glad you like the avatar, well spotted. And the next aircraft to come after the release should be British!
  12. One thing that I would love to see included is something similar to having an instructor flying with you to give all those little tips that you learn from flying the real aircraft. If Ilya wants to make the training stage more interesting maybe the Fighter Collection could offer a unique perspective. Would it be possible to have a video with small cameras fitted in the cockpit and just film a normal take off, flight and landing and then have the pilot talk us through each stage. Nothing like information from those who really fly these aircraft.
  13. I'd prefer the forum medal to be fairly small and unobtrusive. It really doesn't need to be highlighted in our forum profiles. I mean the flight sim community are a modest bunch. :smilewink:
  14. Nice looking pony. I think the RAF paint job is a definite must have for the game.
  15. Salute Marshall Lannes, it's great to see another Napoleonics enthusiast on this site. I think we are a rare species, the flight sim/Napoleonics hybrid. Nice to see that you serve on the side of the Emperor. Any miniatures? I'm currently building up a Minifigs 25mm French collection 1806 - 1811 era. I used to play the Cossacks series but moved over to Napoleon Total War when that came out. Welcome to the forum, and Vive le Spitfire!
  16. Actually I think it applies even more now. 2500 backers raising $155k+ is a great effort by the 'few', it sort of works both ways! And the ME262 is a great bonus.Looking forward to the Dora in Feb.. Just need to start the "The grass is the wrong shade of green and where are the squirrels in the trees?" thread...:smilewink:
  17. Don't forget about Australia and the Darwin Spitfires. Plenty of possibilities with Hurricanes in Burma, Singapore, etc. And lots of open water, which should make map building a little easier. Also, it's a lot warmer than the Russian Front.
  18. Fantastic news, it's lager time! And the bonus of the ME262! Well done to Ilya and the team and all the backers, extra thanks to Mystic Puma for video and Bliss for the ATAG Pedals competition, and everyone who went the extra yard to help with this kickstarter. Salute to you all. Blue skies ahead! :pilotfly: DavidRed: So that's where my rewrite of Winston's speech ended up. Apparently I owe Furbs some royalties there. I promise to donate any future earnings to DCSWW2. Cheers. :smilewink:
  19. Well said Skoshi. Changing over your pledge to save on postage is just wrong. The rewards are already great value compared to full retail price. Let's keep those pledges up, the ME262 is getting closer!
  20. DCS: Mars. Why not....:smilewink:
  21. Definitely the map. This will allow more scope for new campaigns pre D-Day time period. Mainly because I can't wait for a DCS Hurricane!
  22. I would love to see a live video stream of Ilya waking up and logging in.:megalol:
  23. This is one of several reasons that I am supporting DCSWW2. I also have faith that DCS will maintain quality and stability standards. The new EDGE terrain looks very promising. Yes, there were mistakes made in the development of Cliffs Of Dover and I am sure they have learnt from these. I am also sure that Ilya knows that if this new project is plagued by the same issues as Cliffs that he won't get another chance. They have a stable and proven engine to work with. Finally, there is this... DCSWW2 will give us the ability to enjoy a learning curve in terms of CEM that can go to a highly detailed level, if you want to fly at a simpler level you can, but you have the option to go more advanced. This option is not apparently available to the same degree in other upcoming sims. At the end of the day it all depends on what you want from the game. :smilewink:
  24. Could we maybe clone Buddye, that could work....if we could get AI to the same standard of his work that would be great. We just need a little DNA.
  25. Well done Bliss. A great offer and very generous. This sort of dedication to the community is outstanding. S!
