D'oh! Thanks Flagrum, I seem to be suffering from a brain meltdown at the moment. Cheers, Scream.

Just wondering if someone could post a link to the original draft of the FW 190 manual? I accidentally deleted it and the quick start manual is a little short on details. Thanks, Scream.

TM Warthog use of flaps and engine start
Screamadelica replied to Wissam24's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Thanks Polaris1 and GregP for your help, much appreciated. I've read all the threads and this seemed to be the best solution for my setup for the Master Arm Switch, thanks to DeJohn for this: " The line should read as follows.... " {down = device_commands.Button_10, up = device_commands.Button_10, cockpit_device_id = devices.ELEC_INTERFACE, value_down = -1.0, value_up = 0.0, name = 'Main generator ON/OFF Switch', category = 'Ins Overhead panel'}, I agree with Shagrat, it would be nice to see some of the commands set up a little easier to assign. At least I'm starting to get the lua files and controls slowly sorted out, it's a bit of a challenge after IL2. Cheers, Scream. -
TM Warthog use of flaps and engine start
Screamadelica replied to Wissam24's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Thanks for these files. I've been trying to get all the switches assigned and reset to how I had them in 1.27 and it's doing my head in. I had a look at TARGET, but the manual just confused me even more. I've backed up the original default lua files and an extra back up for the altered lua files so I can just replace them if they get lost in an update. What extra lines do I need to add to get a switch to recognise that it's been switched off? I have assigned the Arm switch to Master Arm for example but it doesn't recognise when the switch is moved to off. I'm sure the answer has already been posted in the many threads about this but I'm still not to clear on what extra lines I need to add. Does anyone have a simple solution? Cheers, Scream. -
Thanks for this, I was wondering about this too.

Thanks Wags. Everything is working fine. Keys to the Dora are ready to go! Now if I can just find the starter switch.....

Great work. Lovely skin for the Pony. The Southern Cross on the tail looks very nice. Look forward to trying it out.

I pen an open letter to Eagle Dynamics
Screamadelica replied to O_Smiladon's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Great post Smiladon, well said. The one thing we all want is for this project to succeed and become the best WW2 flight sim on the market. DCS is the future! How else will I get a DCS Hurricane MKII? -
This is why I invested in the Kickstarter. This is our best chance to have a WW2 flight simulation that will continue to expand for years to come. If we want high fidelity aircraft of DCS standards in a WW2 environment, then this sim is the path forward. There are no real alternatives. I am very happy with the new tier rewards that have been offered to me, I'd much rather have a Fighter Collection shirt than a project t-shirt. The issue of selectable aircraft rewards if you already have the P51 or have pre-ordered the Dora is maybe something that could be adjusted in some way. Hopefully there is an option available to help the backers in that situation. Thank you to Eagle Dynamics for keeping this project alive. Hang in there Sithspawn, you're doing a great job in a difficult situation. Salute!

Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Serial# Database

The most important factor is that Eagle Dynamics are able to complete the project without the added complication of expensive extras. At the $250 level I receive 6 aircraft which is great value on it's own. I really don't need the second set of keys for each aircraft. The poster and alpha access are not something that I'm interested in, and although it would have been nice to have a DCS T-Shirt, I'd rather see the money going into game development. The Strategy manual seems difficult, you can just print out a copy of "In Pursuit". The printed aircraft manuals were one of the main attractions, but again I'd rather see the resources going towards the final release. The only issue that remains is to find a substitute reward for anybody who pledged at one of the higher tiers. One idea could be a discount, or maybe free keys, for future aircraft releases. The VEAO Warbirds Collection has some definite possibilities there! Thanks again to Eagle Dynamics for keeping this dream alive.

A huge thank you to Eagle Dynamics for honouring this project, it would have been a shame to have seen the whole game abandoned. As long as ED or the community are able to create new maps, and with VEAO creating additional aircraft as well, this could still be the great sim we have all hoped for. Once again, thanks to ED for keeping the dream alive.

P-51D Config Problem: 3-way-switch (HOTAS Warthog)
Screamadelica replied to Zabuzard's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
The workaround in the lua files as recommended is pretty easy to do and definitely works. Helps to use the find function under the edit tab to locate the correct joy button amongst all the lines of text. Worth the effort and you get to add a new skill to your list of computer abilities acquired whilst playing flight sims! -

Dark days ahead for Australian flyers. I was speaking to one of the retailers for the Warthog HOTAS in Australia and he said that the supplier was no longer going to be carrying any further stock. There was no reason for the discontinuation and there are no plans for releasing any new HOTAS to replace the Warthog. The shop took stock of the last 12 units left and only had two remaining. The Gamesmen now have only one unit left. :music_whistling: Gentlemen, start your engines.......

Nice update. Things are looking good! The FW190 is ED's show, so information regarding that aircraft comes from them, not Ilya. YoYo is apparently meticulous about his work, so I wouldn't expect any updates on the Spitfire until it's ready to his standards. I'd expect things to be delayed, but I'd rather they take their time and get everything right than try to rush the release, it's just going to be hard waiting for that wonderful day when all is revealed! :smilewink:

106... 107... 108... 108 and a half...

There will be a mod for it within two weeks of release, be sure. :music_whistling: Keep it blank, makes life easier.
