  1. i think that dresoccer4 means No.59 on the picture and it is IMO fast drain MW/fuel tank (in emergency or fire? it was unprotected, so may be) and u speak about No.4 what is battery ventilation??? but in DCS Bf it is switch between MW and fuel? i can not translate it, i do not speak German :( picture is from K-4 Flugzeug-Handbuch Teil 9A (1944)
  2. air for supercharger, if you mean that on the picture
  3. I think that both settings "mv" differ between each other in exact fuse delay timing (not sure if it is in DCS too, have not measured it). And both settings "ov" are without any delay. settings means Sturz and Wagerecht works it for Dora and Kurfürst well for me
  4. I always use Wagerecht (level) mV setting. I drop bombs from nearly level flight at low altitude with speed somewhere between 400 - 600km/h. And with this setting i have lot of time to leave bomb blast area.
  5. there is one option to get another Bf 109 model, or close it map maker just must set Bf with MW50/fuel tank empty and Bf 109G-6/AS/U4 is nearly here brave Bfs pilots who play with these "G6/AS/U4" will be probably problem to find... p.s. i know, it will not be exactly G6/AS/U4 but it will be really close :smilewink:
  6. thanks, soo beautiful i hope A6M and other IJA/IJN planes will be one day part of DCS WWII World
  7. can not see pictures too,
  8. it was reported. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=176500
  9. Starting Fw is nearly impossible in the last patch. It must be bug. Oil pressure indicator worked, when i started engine, after many attempts... edit: i tried "auto start" unfortunately it was unsuccessful too
  10. Hi, in last beta 1.5.5.58642.188 Fw pilot`s body is permanently shown. I can not switch it off, tried default control "Rshift + P" and i have this feature OFF in game general settings. Nothing works. Thanks.
  11. YES, serial number generated  can not wait :smilewink:
  12. WW II planes had only one chance how to damage or destroy Tigers / Tigers II or Panthers with their common weapon. And it was hit engine or engine`s parts throught ventilation holes and set it on fire. They had no chance to penetrate the top armor. Speaking of fighters like P-47, P-51, Spitfire ... no special antitank planes and weapons. It was reason why Germans tried to cover these ventilations holes like is on the picture.
  13. Hi, thanks for response. I immediately checked my setting after i left BS server and tried it in offline and online on another server. And it was OK, no autorudder. Did not change any setting and tried Burning Skies today and everything is OK now. It is strange but definitely it was unknown trouble with my DCS installation. So, sorry. :)
  14. gentlemen, auto rudder? seriously? :( please switch it off  thank you
  15. I know this video i have seen it many times, it is great. btw. approx. 5:46 he speaks about pre-oil engine? and then do it by el. pump. And he describes why he does it, around 6th minute. May be, it is now used instead of mechanics rotating propeller :). Can be it that reason? When i flew in real P-51D, pilot did it for 2 minutes too, like Kermie does and nothing like this is written in any manual which i have read but i read only free accessible on the Internet. Moreover, war Mustangs do not have any controls for it, neither DCS P-51D. ;) and last one, i meant whole pre-flight check, including works on plane before pilot come
  16. Of course not, neither i have not seen any complete pre-flight check WWII planes. I have no idea why it is written in P-51 manuals and what they wanted to achieve, or British in Merlin maintenance manual but there is it for lower temperature (no too low, it is another procedure). In one flight manual from 1944 is written "...to clear combustion chambers."
  17. Have you every read any manual for real Mustang? I think no, because you are not right. just an example from one: Pilot`s Flight Operating Instruction Army Model P-51D-5..... (AN 01-60JE-1) SECTION II 5. Staring Engine (3) Have ground personnel turn propeller several revolutions by hand. It is exactly written in all P-51 manuals, not only in this one from 1944, or it is in similar form.
  18. Only two carriers groups units were equipped with Air-to-ground rockets Tiny Tim, one was Franklin and second was VFB 10 from Intrepid. Franklin was badly hit by Suisei dive bomber and left, only Corsairs from Intrepid used them during pre-invasion strikes against Okinawa. but "The rockets were subsequently withdraw as a inaccurate and unreliable." according to "The F4U in World War II and Korea" by Barrett Tillman p.s. may be, they were used again later, but i currently read chapter relating to Okinawa campaign :)
  19. can propeller torque play some part?
  20. Hi, Tiger on your photo has wheels from the end production but DCS Tiger has the most common. I think that DCS Tiger looks exactly like should looks like.
  21. I am sorry, am not familiar with packing software, so it is too big... RAR archive consist of four short game captures. May be i do something wrong, perhaps, or they will be helpful. I was losing elevators to, it is new for me. No external view is on server where i play. https://ulozto.cz/!Tfuxt6t0mGLa/p-51d-rar
  22. Hi, not wings but ailerons leave wings nearly always when Pony met 505MPH IAS at low altitude, without any Gs stress.. It was not before.
  23. I always uncage horizon when am on RWY just before take-off but not before any taxi, and it works correctly during flight. EZ, just switch gyro On (M key default) after engine start, set proper wing span and during fight only set reticle diameter (by rotating throttle lever) on Pony wings. Again, it works .
  24. I tried to find something about Luftwaffe fighters radio-navigation, it is different from todays system and Alies WWII which are base for todays. Unfortunately, in DCS it is completely wrong. AFN2 should not show any information about ILS system. Not only because of different frequency but different method too. Moreover it needs another devices, Fu Bl 1 marker receiver, works on 38Mhz (todays 75MHz) it switch On lamp in AFN2, and Fu Bl2 localizer receiver, 30-33MHz (108 - 112MHz). AFN2 with FuG 16ZY as is in DCS should indicate only azimuth and distance to beacon, like todays NDB with DME, on its frequency range. For it beacons must be placed somewhere on the map, these beacons are not included. p.s. it is NOT any kind of complaint about DCS World, it just interested me, planes avionics was my job for long time and now NAV and COM ATC systems are it :smilewink: p.s.2 if any have anything to correct my info i would appreciate it
  25. Unfortunately, WW II modules in DCS World are without it. This system is not simulated for Bf and Fw, both are proper antenna, but not functional equipment. And P-51D were mostly without it, only Mustangs from C-B-I and some from 5th AF carried receiver and antenna. None from ETO. AFN2 is here instrument for precise landing (like ILS, but only locator not glide slope) btw. this german WWII "Lorenz landing beam system" operated between 30 and 33 MHz, thus its capability to receive todays ILS signal is some "simplification" (but not problem for me)
