  1. I hope that Pony will ever fly as fast as was able when was released.. means like this
  2. not it should not only automatic or manualy 1st, pilot can not permanently switch the supercharger to 2nd speed and decide when he do it, only automatic from manual...
  3. Yes. it has to do with the supercharger. But there is not possibility to override its automatic, you only can test to switch it to second speed on ground (for test) but you can switch off 2nd speed a fly only with 1st (no reason for it). Critical altitude is not alt. where the supercharger is switched to 2nd speed, it is altitude where the supercharger still (last) supply engine with maximal manifold pressure, above this altitude manifold pressure is going down (means engine power). And the supercharger is switched up around 16000 feet (depends on plane`s speed, map. seting..), so if you fly bellow this altitude engine will not perform with maximal power (you are above critical altitude for 1st speed) and you will get it after you reach "magic" altitude when supercharger is switched to 2nd speed and engine works with maximal power again.
  4. Hi, Startup options: always cold start Map Settings: NO aircraft icons visibility aids: no aids Required time to find combat: 5 minutes but in case ground targets more than 5 minute Objectives: combination Air to Air and Air to Ground Weather: mild wind and turbulence and some clouds AI aircraft: until there will be (?) number real players TS availability: way not
  5. You can try this one : http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1286227/ i think it is not bad
  6. the problem is probably in skin`s description, if you chose another coutries than Germany you will get only "one" skin, it is because in description (in skin`s file) is written for which countries this skin is used and as in picture bellow, default skins are only for Germany and if you want to fly for another country you can not take it you can edit these files and add another countries... (it apply to all skins and coutries)
  7. fantastic, thanks
  8. I reached approximately 42100ft, I started with "default" quantity of fuel. But it depends on weather settings. On another server I was not able to reach 41000ft.
  9. generator and battery provide DC (direction current) electrical power but remote-compass is powered by AC (alternating current), so there should be electrical power suplly for AC (400-cycle curent) and inverter is it and this inverter is powered by DC current from battery or generator
  10. late WWII in Pacific theatre J2M, Ki-84, A6M5 and many others...
  11. People in other topics call for historical accuracy (fuel, weapon etc.) and now want plane which never was used in combat during WWII, funny :) I hope that map makers will never use these birds (F8F and Buchon too) for map with WWII scenario... planes like Fw 190A8/9 (of F-8/9), Bf 109G-6 (or 14) can be more suitable for maps when P-47 and Spit IX are on the actuall list
  12. yes and 5th will be DCS spit IX :) may be, sometime aaaafter them next...
  13. Hi, today I killed one Bf`s engine during online game (was not AI) and I saw that his propeller blades, immediately after engine was stop by my fire, looked like after emer. landing without L/G, just bent. and same "bug" happen when engine fail in some cases, according to experience one mate from CZ/SK forum (his question was about it, several days before) picture bellow is his S.
  14. When I have this, I always set propeller lever to full forward and maintaining RPM below 3000 by controling throttle. Manifold Pressure is very low (is between 20-30 inHG, I think) and speed is approximately somewhere between 160-175 m.p.h. With this setting Pony can fly as long as has fuel but problems are enemy, they often will not allow it... maintaining rpm under 3000 is essential
  15. probably withou any, according to some photo from Korea where Ponies do not have required antennas for these device but it does not mean that it (ADF) could be use in some planes no, weight of all these was not above 100 pounds together with wiring, it is nothing for plane with TO weight nearly 10000 pounds...
  16. Only P-51D operating from IwoJima were equiped with AN/ARA-8 homing adapter (beacon was on on the island and several B-29 carried it). ADF receivers were used in C-B-I (Cina, Burma, India) and the most P-51D from 5th AF operating from Philippines and Okinawa were equiped with it. and beacons for Detrola were placed only in the USA, they were`t overseas, receiver was removed from the most planes in war zone Homing device ("UncleDog AN/ARA-8" and Detrola) were not used in Europe and ADF probably too. this is for WWII era, after war ...
  17. due to increased fuel capacity (since D-25 model), this chart will be more useful for DCS Thunderbolt (of course, if they still inteded to bring us D-30 model) than previous presented one
  18. this topic is about DCS P-47D-30 I think and DCS WWII: Europe 1944 Project is already death, it was kickstarter...
  19. K-4 - all of them (or used C3 fuel) D-9 i have foud info abot 60 from 240 in strenght at the end of 44 (but rest of D-9 was equiped wit "Ladedrucksteigerung-Rüstsatz" 1900bhp and they did not fly with 1750bhp) and in 45, nearly all D-9 had MW... in 45 no one D-30 flown with 150 fuel, 56FG was requiped with M-model P-47... EZ42 does not increase engine power...
  20. 9th AF operated above North Europe from spring? 44 and used 100/130 oct. fuel during december 44 some 8th AF Mustang units, which were lent to 9th AF, asked for supply 150 grade fuel this requirement was refused because of logistical trouble, one kind of fuel for 9th units and second fuel for another units was not accepted.. (this document is on wwiiaircraftperformance page) in Italy operated 12 and 15th AFs and both were supplied with 100/130 ... for D-30 is only 100/130 fuel historically right
  21. Again 150 octane fuel, oh no... :( 2600 D-30 were produced, how many of them were used by 8th AF (ONLY ONE unit which used 150 grade fuel!!!)? Because D-30 reached units during late 44, we can suppose only handful of them... So, 100/130 fuel will be right! end
  22. engine power probably should be 2535bhp, 2700rpm and 64inHG with 100/130fuel and water injection according therse reports
  23. sorry but above mentioned test is nonsence (for any comparison with DCS) Fw 190F-8 was never been equiped with 0,3 cal MGs (plane`s description in that document), means that early model of Fw was tested during that test, no F-8 and Fw 190D-9 was far away from any A(or F) Fw models...
  24. skin with changed pilot body is here: http://ulozto.cz/xRhF1qjJ/happy-jacks-go-buggy-rar thank you
