WW II map, so I chose "New combat theater maps" "NEW" means WWII for me :)

Hi, I wanted perform "skip bombing" which looked workable thanks to new feature for Fw-190 - Bomb Delay fuse. Bomb Delay fuse works perfect itsef but there is something wrong with bombs. When I dropped them during low level flight (doen`t mater if SC50 or 500) they only dig in to groud end stuck in place where they hit ground. Nothing like skipping. For water, they did not move too, they just lied on the surface where they touch water. Of course, they exploded after delay time.

FPS drops occures when you look at direction where ground smokes are (for example from crashed planes). for me, FPS droped from average 100 to 35-50, depends on number smokes and distance I noticed it on WWII server. I do not know, if it is bug or so on, but i think these smokes are old and they will be replaced in future..

Mig-29A fuel and RMP indicators Hi, fuel indicator shows only 500kgs when i took full fuel and this does not change during flight. RMP idicator shows only engine No.1, there is not indication for engine No.2.

Please add possibility to take MiG-29A for Czech Rep. in mission editor. Our AF had them till 1995. Thank you.

P-51-D No Start From Mission Editor
saburo_cz replied to imagecrafting's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
I help to start engine by using primer during starting sequence. I switch primer 3-4 seconds after starter and it works for me. Release both when engine is running after mixture is switched to run possition from cut-off. -
Did you switch fuel tank? after hour should be empty it is not clear from your description

some Pony speed data: default map, I did not change any weather conditions 61"inHg, 3000RPM, 67% fuel both radiators fully closed : 577 km/h both radiators fully open : 532 km/h 67"inHg, 3000RPM, 67% fuel both radiators fully closed : 604 km/h both radiators fully open : 554 km/h (with only oil radiator fully open : 589 km/h and with only coolant radiator fully open : 566 km/h) during both flights I tried to keep altitude between 5 and 10 meters above sea I have to say sorry to ED, because I somewhere here accuded ED of low Pony performance... may be, something with cooling is not perfect :)

not it should not only automatic or manualy 1st, pilot can not permanently switch the supercharger to 2nd speed and decide when he do it, only automatic from manual...
-
Yes. it has to do with the supercharger. But there is not possibility to override its automatic, you only can test to switch it to second speed on ground (for test) but you can switch off 2nd speed a fly only with 1st (no reason for it). Critical altitude is not alt. where the supercharger is switched to 2nd speed, it is altitude where the supercharger still (last) supply engine with maximal manifold pressure, above this altitude manifold pressure is going down (means engine power). And the supercharger is switched up around 16000 feet (depends on plane`s speed, map. seting..), so if you fly bellow this altitude engine will not perform with maximal power (you are above critical altitude for 1st speed) and you will get it after you reach "magic" altitude when supercharger is switched to 2nd speed and engine works with maximal power again.

Diveplane's P-51 Sound Mods
saburo_cz replied to HeadHunter52's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
You can try this one : http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1286227/ i think it is not bad -
the problem is probably in skin`s description, if you chose another coutries than Germany you will get only "one" skin, it is because in description (in skin`s file) is written for which countries this skin is used and as in picture bellow, default skins are only for Germany and if you want to fly for another country you can not take it you can edit these files and add another countries... (it apply to all skins and coutries)

fantastic, thanks

I reached approximately 42100ft, I started with "default" quantity of fuel. But it depends on weather settings. On another server I was not able to reach 41000ft.

generator and battery provide DC (direction current) electrical power but remote-compass is powered by AC (alternating current), so there should be electrical power suplly for AC (400-cycle curent) and inverter is it and this inverter is powered by DC current from battery or generator

late WWII in Pacific theatre J2M, Ki-84, A6M5 and many others...

People in other topics call for historical accuracy (fuel, weapon etc.) and now want plane which never was used in combat during WWII, funny :) I hope that map makers will never use these birds (F8F and Buchon too) for map with WWII scenario... planes like Fw 190A8/9 (of F-8/9), Bf 109G-6 (or 14) can be more suitable for maps when P-47 and Spit IX are on the actuall list
-
yes and 5th will be DCS spit IX :) may be, sometime aaaafter them next...

Hi, today I killed one Bf`s engine during online game (was not AI) and I saw that his propeller blades, immediately after engine was stop by my fire, looked like after emer. landing without L/G, just bent. and same "bug" happen when engine fail in some cases, according to experience one mate from CZ/SK forum (his question was about it, several days before) picture bellow is his S.
