  1. Fixed that for you :pilotfly:
  2. Ok. Question answered, me satisfied.
  3. Yeah, 'cause no development should ever take place if it means you risk breaking something, right?
  4. You mean like communicate with us about the progress of 3/4 of their modules, like PilotMi8 did yesterday and the day before? ;)
  5. Well, the natives were deported. Or as the British would say, resettled, as the whole thing was a massive breach of international law :P But at least during the Gulf war there was a considerable civilian population there, as well as in peacetime plenty of regular military personnel, and British police even, so it'd hardly be easy to maintain any secrecy, especially considering the size of the island.
  6. Amen. Having the appearance of activity would go such a long way for immersion, instead of just taxiing along runways in a world only occupied by yourself, targets, and the ATC.
  7. Me, me, me, me! Mr Teacher, my question! ;)
  8. Why would they? Not to mention that Diego Garcia is BIOT, and thus has a civilian population, and that island isn't big.
  9. Well, the Pacific is huge, and no one seems to know where the plane went down. Not terribly surprised al Qaeda hasn't claimed responsibility for it. Malaysia is a Muslim country, and though many of the passengers were Chinese, it'd still be far too many Muslims they'd claim responsibility for killing.
  10. What about a Predator drone? I mean, it'd be world's easiest assembled simpit for starters, and second, who wouldn't love the module name "Game of Drones"? :D
  11. PilotMi8, would you mind addressing a question I posed elsewhere regarding the Huey armament? Are you planning on adding more weapon options, or can the H version Huey not carry any other weapons than those currently available?
  12. Personally, I can assure you I wasn't terribly optimistic even before the newsletter, and I doubt that goes for me only. If I'm allowed to say it, RAZBAM have more announced modules than anyone else, and the least news. That's not good PR.
  13. Huey, no question. Though I had troubles landing and taking off with the P-51, the latter was because I didn't bother reading past "trim your rudder", and the landings went badly because as with most I've seen, rushing the process and coming in too fast, as well as the backbone refusal to lose sight of the runway by bringing up the nose for an even touchdown.
  14. Well, you called BS on LS's statements about honouring the pledges despite not being obliged to, so you're hardly one to say anything about personal attacks either. Now, would y'all be quiet so I can stop becoming disappointed every time I see there's a new post and all I see is nonsense?
  15. Well, the Mig-21 is Mach 2 capable, and everything is finished except for the final testing and such.
  16. Can someone explain this for the Mi-8? Hardpoints and additional armour can already be disabled, albeit at least the hardpoints remain visually (not sure if they remain as physical objects). Is that what will be fixed?
  17. AFAIK, 40mm was only available for the UH-1B. Maybe others too, but not for the H at least.
  18. Enough already. They're not idiots, if they'd felt sure enough to announce a release date, they'd have done so. Does 95% of the posts in this forum have to be either "I want that" or "when will it be finished"?
  19. Awesome work! For what my opinion is worth, I can't give less of a hoot about skins that come with the release, for all that I care it could just come in one shade of aluminium, even if it only speeds the release up by one single second. Can't wait :D

    Huey wish list

'Twas a question, not a request for any particular weapon. I honestly don't know if the UH-1H can carry any other weapons than what we currently have, hence the question.

    Huey wish list

Are there no more weapons that can be implemented for the Huey? Personally I can't help feeling that it's about time it gets more options. I mean, the Mi-8MTV2 had more options the day it was released than the Huey has now after almost a year IIRC.
  22. I find it more surprising there's actually a Mig-23 thread considering that they said they weren't planning on one after the Mig-21 any longer.
  23. This again? Then please explain why we have the P-51D and the A-10C. Neither of those have any history in the Georgian-Russian border area. The DCS FAQ quite clearly mentions "sandbox".
  24. Diego Garcia is BIOT, and an American military base. If they'd gone there, the Americans would have told the world all about it before the Malaysians, especially considering how long it took them to say anything about the plane being missing.
  25. The Pacific is huge, not finding a crashed plane isn't strange at all. That French (?) plane that stalled in the West Indies a few years ago took ages to find even small tracks of, and that was a lot less ocean to cover. As always, the simplest theory is probably the right one. One of the pilots committed suicide, the signals received were from floating debris and/or BS stories made up by Malaysian authorities, because let's face it, it wouldn't be the first time someone goes to idiotic lengths to cover up a pilot committing suicide on the job. Those things sort of bring down the reputation of airliner companies a bit.
