  1. I had a lag induced midair with a sabre. All that happened is a blackout for a few seconds then flying again but with a constant roll.
  2. Tested with G940 alone. No FFB. In logitech profiler you can go to global device options and turn spring effects to 100%. This gives some centering force but a large slack area. SimFFB gives me a more accurate centre and stronger springing effect.
  3. could SimFFB be a temporary workaround? I'll test it myself after work.
  4. mondaysoff you're gonna love them for the huey! Just been flying around in the Mi8 and the precision you can get is pretty good! Can really abuse the collective on takeoff and just hold the nose precisely still. No problems countering torque now.
  5. Well I like beer... feel free to send some to me!
  6. Was good to meet all the VEAO guys (again). The enthusiasm they show for their work and DCS in general is impressive and I'm sure theres a few more people giving DCS a try because of their efforts at Duxford and other shows!
  7. Also consider VKB's "T Pedals" As they are significantly cheaper than MFG or Slaw pedals. But lack toe brakes. Saitek combat pros impressed me when I tried them at duxford (still prefer the MFG Crosswinds though!) A lot of people use Saitek Pro Flight pedals without issue but I'd spend a bit more on something a little less mass produced!
  8. A few of the ACG guys have the Mig 21 preordered now... thursday night is going to be fun!!! We plan to try to make a formation fireball on takeoff!
  9. They only tip if you put only one foot on the pedals. I love the fact I can now fly properly without a rudder curve at all! Next thing to do is start building a simpit!

    AI Wishlist

AI wishlist for me is for the AI to have real line of sight and field of view.
  11. Had crosswinds 2 days... Loving them
  12. 288 euros, plus shipping
  13. I've been lusting after a set of these for a while. One word review: AMAZING. Little bit more detail: I've previously been using the pedals that came with my Logitech G940. Reversal Bug was making it very difficult to fly smoothly so I got the MFG ones ordered after reading a lot of positive reviews. While waiting for them to be delivered I rewired my G940 pedals through a leo bodnar joystick board to get rid of the reversal bug. Result of this was very impressive and I began to think I shouldn't have ordered the MFG Crosswinds. I needn't have worried. The MFG pedals are a massive improvement over the modded G940 pedals. Solid, all ball bearing so there's no rattle or slop in any of the moving parts. The springing is adjustable, strong and very progressive. You can't use a wheeled office chair with these things! And the progressive springing means you are using pressure rather than position for your reference. Its much easier to apply the right pressure than trying to move the correct amount. A few horrible fuzzy phone photos
  14. Teapot its not a t-51 or a kit. Its a tf-51 2 seat unarmed mustang ;)
  15. Oof.. That starfighter looks amazing! Please tell me an EFM and ASM release is planned!
  16. Edge will allow maps with a curved surface IIRC. Theres already a couple of radar, radio and ATC plugins so a VATSIM type setup is definately doable! Someone just needs to model the whole of earth.. Should only take a couple of decades right?
  17. Not yet diveplane ;) week after next I believe. Isn't this topic against the rules though?
  18. VEAO have confirmed its on their to do list. I just hope they manage it! My favourite jet. Its not the most capable but my god its an impressive beast
  19. Nope. Its a permanent license. 9 activations available if you ever delete dcs you have to reactivate if you reinstall. Not sure what the 30 days is about though.
  20. Zakatak, similar issues here although I'm not looking to get paid to fly. Just for fun. I am however paid to drive so the social aspects are similar. Dealing with customers and colleagues etc. I don't know your background obviously but If you are anything like me you can reduce most interactions to an almost scripted level. Bit like dealing with ATC but without the strict format. So limiting the stress. IIRC you dont need a commercial license for instructing or glider tug work (as part of a flying club) so that could be a less expensive way to test your ability to deal with the social aspects without the huge cost of the commercial license. Though theres still training to be done!
  21. Get yourself an E6b "whiz wheel" flight computer or the electronic equivilant. Does thr IAS to TAS calculations along with a lot more too. A big help for navigating without needing to alt-tab and use online calculators or tables
  22. Agreed. The amount of work required for a 4th gen+ to the high standards we all expect will likely end up being pricier than most other modules. Unless the simpler WW2 aircraft can offset the costs.
  23. Seems to me people are ignoring the fact that there ARE modern jets coming up. Usually including the ones they want so badly (F-18 seems to be a common request) I'm lucky really... most of the aircraft I really would love to fly in DCS have been announced. I agree though that DCS needs a flyable F-16 ASAP. Although I could always go play Falcon 4.0
  24. I've got Rise of Flight Don't really play it any more though.
