Same here. Just received the latest newsletter. Upgraded electronics and new colour options soon! Only thing I'd change would be footplate design. As I like to have heels on the floor and use the balls of my feet for fine rudder control. Foot on the pedal for larger adjustments. Good thing Milan is planning "combat" style footplates too!

Id go with a memory upgrade and overclock the CPU personally

What controllers are/were you using then?

The only time I've seen controls jerking about other than due to low framerates (for me it gets noticeable below 40fps with rapud large stick deflections) is when suffering the G940 reversal bug. I took steps to correct it and no more jerkyness ever. Other thing that just occurred to me. Some people record from tracks rather than live. I think that can lead to jerky looking controls.. I'll watch a couple of my tracks later to check.

Back to Tornados issues... I've read back a bit and a 780 should be getting decent FPS at max settings. So firstly are you certain you got what you paid for? Are you certain its all installed correctly? Run something like openhardwaremonitor to check your GPU temps and check the fan is clear from obstructions. Since you state its fine when you can hear the fan I suspect the fan isnt running when it should and so the GPU is throttling back. You should be able to manually set fan speed to check if there is a problem with it.

84c is normal for Haswells. Insanely hard to cool. Im Delidded and watercooled and with a 4.5ghz overclock see 65c with dcs. 4.7ghz yields 77c in DCS Also prime 95 loads up all cores to 100% DCS only loads 2 to 50% max if you have an HT enabled CPU (bit misleading as with HT off it registers up to 100% on 2 cores). Prime 95 pushes my temps up to near 80c with 4.5 ghz and touches 90 and crashes on 4.7! So tornados temps are a little high but not massively so.

PR.IX and PR.XIX obviously ;) As to mission value... If it could take screenshots via the cameras it would be a great tool for more organised multiplayer groups... getting actual recon photos as the first stage of a mission. Attacking the target identified in the photos, and then assessing damage with a final recon run!

Oh yes... Beer Delivery mission would be a laugh... Very strict on altitude limits... us brits don't do ice cold beer!

Have taken a hell of a FPS hit in 1.2.11 from a solid 60fps in 4k DSR down to low 30's! Only other changes have been my antivirus and resetting my bios due to a system clock issue... (reloaded previous settings though)

Only had it happen after taxiing across grass or a heavy landing. I assumed I'd broken something!

I'd set up Facetrack NoIR or Freetrack and wait to see how Rift CV1 works with DCS. I have some reservations about it having used DK2 and although higher redolution is promised I'm concerned anything less than 4k may not be enough.

Im not entirely sure. But setting DCS to run as admin was the last change I made. Since then no problems!

I've finally ironed out all the problems I was having. Enjoying aries a lot now! Hope we see the GCI addon soon!

Fixed my issue (posting this in a few threads as its something I'd never have even considered and nobody else has mentioned it) Check your system time. Mine was wrong by less than 1 minute. Corrected it and DCS connects again!

I may have discovered the problem.... Check your system time is correct TO THE SECOND. I had to reset my bios by removing the battery and manually set system time to within 30 seconds of correct. Suddenly unable to connect to master. Updated to correct time and its fixed.

Fixed. System time was a whole 30 seconds out..... Updated system time online and connected.

Having a conn error now... "can't connect to master server" I was just fiddling with mods beforehand but ran DCS Repair and still no joy.
