deadman sensor it taped over but it DOES feel like the switch cutting in and out except the force never entirely dies. Just kick kick then ok for minutes, then a few kicks Edit: Checked the switch and it IS cutting in and out even when taped over. Its more reliable when my hand is over it also. Wonder if the stick is dying....

Problems with FFB again I'm afraid. The stick kicks when maneuvering for no apparent reason. Nowhere near a stall or anything.

Been slowly learning the Mig and today I decided to go PVP for real for the 1st time. Another ACG pilot is currently learning the F15 and we went one on one. To balance it out I had GCI and he was limited to sparrows and the earlier sidewinder variant. All went to plan I took off and flew north to get away from the direct approach to his airfield. Staying low I patiently waited for my GCI controller to give me a vector. When he finally does I maneuvered to flank the incoming F15 and finally get abeam of him and turn in and begin my climb. The F15 is now dead ahead of me and my RWR hasn't made a peep. Drop tanks are now empty so they get jettisoned. Reheat engaged and I start to reel him in... 30km.... 20.... 10... This is where I make the mistake. I know its going to be hard to eyeball him and fire up the radar briefly to locate him and hope to send him an IR missile before he realises whats happening. I underestimated how quickly he would react to the RWR and he promptly turned head to head with me! Rear aspect IR missiles are now useless. A few passes and my RWR goes ballistic. I somehow avoid a sparrow I didn't even see and on the next pass actually SEE him launch. For some reason the jammer pod which was set to auto dispense chaff and flares wasn't and just as I switched to manual and hit the button the Sparrow made contact. I'm really enjoying this module, I've never really been into jets in flightsims but the sabre and now the Mig21 have got me properly hooked! Is there anyone out there willing to give me a bit of one on one tuition on how to use the Mig correctly?

How are you finding the rift with the latest SDK? I've not tried DCS recently since the judder in the last version was unbearable! Any better yet?
-
Absolutely. Imagine the challenge of flying the 1st ever successful flying machine!

There is no nosecone. Its the fluoride in the water making you hallucinate. Or is it chemtrails? I get so confused.

All clusterbombs suffer from this. An over the shoulder release gets good spread but terrible accuracy...

Im talking about the aircraft reversing with high thrust (but no reheat) if you dont detach the chute
-
If you deploy the chute, then throttle up you can move backwards, obviously not right! Reheat will detach it.

Excellent work Davidred. I'd like too see ultra simple aircraft shapes rather than a box personally. With colouring based on the skin used.

Looking foreward to trying the fixes!

[RESOLVED] Rudder Authority During Taxi Exaggerated
Random replied to Flagrum's topic in Flight Dynamics
Explains the steering behaviour. I don't think differential braking using the hand operated brake and rudder pedal proportioning is complex at all and should be the standard with this module if tgats the real world system. Simplified could be an option though. God help "casual players" whem a taildragger with this setup and no lockable tailwheel becomes available in DCS. -
Perhaps AWACS/GCI has no frequency set in the mission? Worth opening the mission in the mission editor to check.
-
Nope not tried any fps fix and external view is fine

IL2 CloD is worth a look especially with all the work Team Fusikn have put in over the last year or so.

As the thread title. I'm currently seeing a blue-grey wireframe over the top of the scenery and fuselage visible in the periscope. Relevant specs Haswell i7 @4.5 ghz 2x 3gb 780ti in SLI (will check driver version when home) 16gb RAM Win 7 64bit

Had the same happen to me today.

I'd hope so! Incandescent bulb = white hot glowing metal. Hotter than the EGT of a jet!

Couple of questions with moving zone triggers. I currently have an aircraft that I want to intercept, get within 400 feet and have it switch to a waypoint far away Triggers are as follows Unit inside moving zone (unit is the intercepting unit, zone is set to a 400ft radius zone, and zone unit is set to the aircraft to be intercepted) Unit below alt (set to 200 ft above aircraft to be intercepted) Unit above alt (set to 200 ft below aircraft to be intercepted) Actions set flag on (flag 2) message to all (testing purposes to confirm trigger is working) Intercepted aircraft has "switch to wp" set in advanced waypoints, Condition is set to flag = true (set to flag 2) Anyone able to help with why its just not working? Secondly, are moving triggers spherical? or cylindrical with infinite height? Im thinking I may not need the altitude requirements. Edit: removing the altitude requirements seems to have fixed the issue!

Outer Pylons incorrectly placed in LOD1 model
Random replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in 3D Model and Cockpit
Odd you are having fps issues with dual 780s! -
If it was a Victor I would. (Especially if the bomber version came later) If it was a VC10 I would. Anything else woukd be a maybe.

It's about time someone said it.... If you want bacon go play ROF (thats Religeously Offensive Foods not the ww1 era flightsim)

Or DCS trainspotter! Cross-stitch is boring. We already have trains in dcs so ed or a third party just need to code a notepad to write down which train we've spotted and create the 3d model for our trainspotter. Easy right? And would appeal to a whole new demographic

Corrigan that module better be real time only. Time compression is for arcade games.
