  1. I'm very happy to help, and if you look at my post history you can see me trying to do that. I'm just saying that you should be making the effort to learn as well. And I'm not saying you aren't! You just didn't say.
  2. I think before expecting any answer of such a broad question, it is only reasonable for you to indicate that you have read and digested the appropriate parts of the manual we all have access to. Because you haven't.
  3. In the real aircraft was there any particular way that INS drift was detected before it became serious? Obviously if your waypoints were landmarks and you were a mile off you could eyeball that there was a problem, but was it possible to detect drift before it was that serious, or did the RIO generally just take fixes every X minutes?
  4. See pages 274-276 in the manual.
  5. It was addressed in the previous update I think. Super search now uses the same number of bars as non-super search, so you won't see the target until the antenna returns to the bar where it detected the target. You can go full action where the target was on the DDD and as long as the antenna returns to the correct bar within 1-2 seconds you'll get a lock. Whether this is correct behaviour I don't know. Edit: this is PD Search. I don't think I've tried it in Pulse.
  6. On the subject, Jester doesn't turn on AWG-9 cooling properly - if you jump into a hot aircraft in MP, the switch is in the correct position but there is almost always NAV COMP and AWG-9 COND warnings, and you have to cycle the switch.
  7. I did consider that but under our circumstances, <1000ft amsl, that wouldn't have been a factor and the extra power could have been just enough to get back...if it's modelled.
  8. One of the other threads I found mentioned pulling the AWG-9 bleed air breaker, but that might be an F-14A thing. I had a brief look for it in the 'B cockpit and couldn't find it.
  9. Can anyone from HB confirm whether this works?
  10. You haven't selected the position you want to drop stores from. You'll want 3, 4, 5 or 6 for GBUs I think.
  11. I would like to know this too, because the diagram in the manual doesn't exactly match the DDD.
  12. Sorry, I didn't read all of your post before responding.
  13. Only asking this because I made the same mistake the first time - is WCS turned on, rather than just in standby?
  14. I hadn't changed the volume but I haven't seen the problem my last few games - I'll post back if it happens again.
  15. RIO here - can confirm epilepsy and explodiness.
  16. From your description it's the same as what happens if you pause and jump from the pilot to RIO seat. Lots of missing surfaces from the dashboard, and the RIO model is still occupying the seat.
  17. Found it - the so-called "Zone 6": https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3602404 According to this poster, 850-1100lbs extra thrust. Dunno if it's implemented though, it seems to be dependent on pulling a circuit breaker, and I don't think they're modelled yet.
  18. My pilot and I were trying to limp home after an engagement which didn't go well, on a single engine. Jettisoned stores but couldn't maintain height and eventually crashed. I didn't remember until afterwards that someone mentioned during the hype train that the bleed air requirement for cooling the AWG-9 is so significant that shutting it down could give you a couple of thousand pounds of extra thrust, which might have made the difference. Obviously I can't find that post now but can anyone confirm this, and if so, whether or not it is modelled here?
  19. Yes, it would be excellent if every possible Jester command was available for binding.
  20. Look at the drop-down where you usually select the aircraft you want to do bindings for. There are separate bindings for the pilot and RIO.
  21. There are separate bindings for the pilot and RIO seats. If you've changed your bindings for looking around in the pilot's seat you'll have to change the RIO bindings as well.
  22. Yup, just from your description I'm seeing this as well. New behaviour since the latest update.
  23. 30mhz should be channel 5. Remember to press the tuner button (next to the volume knob) after you select it - you have to do that every time you change the channel.
  24. If you use ctrl+enter to bring up the control position display it helps you recenter the trim, and it is at least controllable when you unpause then. Edit: because of this I've taken to practicing in 1/8 speed or slower (too slow and button presses don't register). There's enough time to jump between the seats but this bug doesn't manifest.
