    I've been flying side stick in my sims for years. Love it that way.

    I think there's a little magnet in them, because I notice when I slide the cover just a little, you can feel a pull. hold the controller with one hand. Just put your thumb at the top of the battery cover, and a little downward pressure, slide your thumb back. The cover should slide back.
