I swapped my "S" over onto a powered USB 3.0 hub yesterday. I had 2, 1 hour flights in the Turkey. Got a couple white static flashes, but beyond that, the powered hub arrangement is working great. Indeed, I need to test some more, but throwing out this data point.

It does seem a bit steep. Though I wouldn't mind having one. I'm using a WarBRD, so would definitely need to know if it would work with that prior.

I have Win 10 Pro, just installed 1903 earlier today. "winver" says I have 1903. So far, no issues. :-)

Can you post further info about your system specs? you're plugging into the MB USB ports on the back? or a PCIe addon card? My system specs noted in my signature. I only had an issue with the HMD before I did the firmware update. I know you mentioned you did the update. As of now, I still get a periodic "white static" flash, but the "S" is sailing along. I know there are plenty of folks here who want to help you. We can get through this! ;)

did you update the firmware for both the HMD and controllers? try moving to another DP, and/or USB3? (after update, a reboot, etc)
