  1. There is, look in your start menu. There will be an uninstaller under DCS World Open Beta. Or just go to: some HDD...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\unins000.exe
  2. Read the two stickies: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185325 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185642 The PDF's contain instructions of what you need to do. LN/M3 changed Starforce protection to make it less of a PITA.
  3. To answer your question: Yes, you can and it won't cause any problems.
  4. More pictures! https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/posts/720391371481817
  5. The Spit is easy to land, there's some difficulty to keep tracking true, but definitely straightfoward to land. The easy way is fly it down until you're flying level ~1 ft/6" off the runway, then gently drop the throttle. It'll settle into a nice 3 wheel landing with no effort. It's more akin to the Mig-21 than the other WWII birds in that sense.
  6. Are you holding down the starter with the mags off to get to that conclusion? If you are, are you aware there's a booster coil linked to the starter switch?
  7. Christ on a bike. This is linked to your post in Chit-chat isn't it? You don't have to buy it you know, nor does any developer have to develop what you'd like them to either.
  8. There's the performance side too :) Shaders are GPU work and DCS is a CPU limited game.
  9. I can't wait to see what the F-14 looks like with the new shaders, considering how awesome the Viggen looks.
  10. Endorsing is rather different from allowing someone to use your IP. We might get a Flanker at some point, it just probably will be an early or export version if we ever do.
  11. Basically, you're just a bit miffed more data is made available, or flaws in the modelling are found and corrected, and that therefore means you need to relearn things? For someone who has just stated a strong engineering background that's a very suprising thing that you're not a fan of iteration.
  12. Why do you ask, are you going to attempt one?
  13. I don't see why people are making such a big deal of this. Either you stick with standalone or you stick with the Steam version, and I suspect the vast majority of users do exactly that already. The only people this change is hurting is the small set of people who run standalone but like to take advantage of the fact Steam is occasionally cheaper for modules. Yes, it sucks a little bit for you guys, but lets face it, you are basically gaming the system. Would it be better if Standalone vs Steam worked as it used to pre-2014 when key merges worked both ways? Of course. But that's not going to happen again.
  14. ME 262 and P47 are being done by ED. This is already known and confirmed F4U Corsair is being done by LN/M3. Also known and confirmed. Mirage F1 is being done by Aviodev. Again, already known and confirmed. Did you actually do any basic searches before compiling this list?
  15. I think the trailer might have just ruined it by being too spoiler-y It hinted very strongly at a couple of things.
  16. Also, no guns on the G7/9 :(
  17. Ah, the throat mic. IIRC, it's used for internal/ground coms only in the Mi-8, either that or it just doesn't work properly in DCS. I never turn it on.
  18. Interesting. I've just done a 30+ potter around Novo, landing twice. Radio worked fine all the time. Sometimes ATC is a little slow to respond though.
  19. Ooof, still cuts deep man, I wasn't happy about it either. Just take solace they'd have gone next year anyway. Sadly, we're not getting a Gr7 or 9 from Razbam though...
  20. Ah, you didn't mention that. Does raise another question: You using the PTT or the coms menu keyboard key? Either way, I'll go have a quick test now. Also, assuming the engine + generators running and not sat there using battery or APU? Edit: Worked fine for me with a 10 minute gap between asking for startup and then asking for taxi clearance.
  21. I've had no problem with ATC in 1.5.6 Are you using real or easy comms? When you say "after a while", it's not because you're out of range of the ATC you're tuned into is it?
  22. The amount of people that can't follow a simple request, or can't tell what version they're looking at, is quite surprising imo for a bunch of aviation enthusiasts.
  23. I don't think so as it has been said many times before that stuff on their website is just background art/previous work done by team members (eg, the F4 used was a render of Milviz's one which Cobra worked on).
  24. Yeap. The moving flames in response to the prop is a very nice touch, as is the lighting effects.
  25. The team at ED have been busy!
