Patch 1.2.1 for "LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2"
TheMoose replied to Ulrich's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Gracious for the patch, thanks -
The more I play with Ubuntu, the more I fall in love lol. Too bad not a gaming OS, however for the rest, browsing, video, music, photos. It rocks. As for a virtual desktop. Top that Microsoft lol

30Mbit on Cable, however my upload is still at 1 meg

Awesome videos, very entertaining

http://www.ubuntu.com/ Wow linux has came a long way. Just wished that I could play DCS on it, then I would convert fully...

I’m very satisfied and impress with the outcome of FC2. The only lack there off is the missing campaigns for the Su, Migs, etc… However I heard they are working on that. So hats off on those working on them. I like of not having to go through a third party for being able to play MP. However some progress in that area would be a nice touch. Aka “chat” rooms would be a nice addition. As for the Visual, I’m very impress. I like the new sound engine. It is very graphically customizable, however true; you need to edit the LUA files.

Thanks Wags, At least now from Ubisoft, I'll be able to buy the box set from Eastern Canada for FC2 even If I already have the download version ;) I sure hope you will be able to sell millions of copy, hopefully they will be able to market it good... a TV add on Fox or Spike would bring some $$, however, I know, that investment is a costly one... Cheers

http://www.neoseeker.com/news/5626-ubisoft-drops-starforce/ Myself, I have no issues with Starforce. But I'm curious on the extent that Ubisoft had been force to drop Starforce in the past. Will this hold true still with the Platinum version release?
-
That is awesome news and the Promo video from GA is awesome. However I have question. Last I heard, Ubisoft had boycotted Starforce from all their software. Will that version of DVD have starforce?

From my experience thus far (DCS-BS, FC1.2) on windows Seven, if you un install the game on the same PC and re install it. It will ask you to re activate it. I'm thinking that the un install process removes the string in the registry or corrupts it somehow... I even recall a warning in the past, asking me if I would like the keep the activation in the un install process. I said yes, please keep it. But then again when re installing it, starting the game it re asked to activate... No hardware change has been made. Maybe just my MAC address of my connection...(clone mac inside my Linksys)

You are entitled to your opinion. However I still think this movie is a major accomplishment. Going about, getting the authority of so many squads and produce a piece of art as he did. Sounds and all. Re listening to it. I don’t get the feeling that the sound effects are overdone. The Pink Floyd song was a nice touch. Looking forward to your next movie Ange, keep it up. The transition and camera angles are superb... "Un vrai chef d'œuvres" GA we are still waiting for yours… I know, I know, when it’s ready… :D Hopefully it won’t be 30 seconds long. ;) No disrespect, I know you have major skills in this domain. :smartass: Cheers

Mission Editor needs some work, very aggravating...
TheMoose replied to TheMoose's topic in User Created Missions General
Thanks for the feedback, then I will wait, makes no sense of trying to create a mission now if it's going to take me weeks. I just cannot get my head around it, patience is a virtue, but I got my limits. Setting 1 on 1 objects. This will drive me crazy. lol -
Mission Editor needs some work, very aggravating...
TheMoose replied to TheMoose's topic in User Created Missions General
ED any chance on getting an update on this issue? Any plans to make this feature less time consuming? Maybe bringing back the satellite view that includes exact positioning of the objects directly on the map instead of loading the mission each time? Or Icons alignment when you turn the knob? With that resolve, I would think lots more missions would be created by the community. Do you really create each mission as such on your side? Object alignments one by one? Load up the mission on every object to check it? Heck… I wish I could go more in depth in mission/campaign creation, however time is nothing to be wasted. Anyhow I hope you can find a solution. I initially found the editor overwhelming, now after playing with it for a couple of nights, it’s not overwhelming it’s time consuming to a point that wants me want to give up. It is very aggravating. However I still believe in the product. Regards, -
I wounder if he still checks this forums once and a while. Haven't heard from him in years, but I agree awesome mod.

1:500000 printable DCS/FC2.0 Tactical Chart (WIP)
TheMoose replied to igormk's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
My ploter printer is warmed up, just waiting on the max resolution possible before I print this up poster size, heck, might as well make it as a wallpaper for my wall, lol ;) -
Nah ;) It was perfect. Awesome job
-
I wish the editor would have a better positioning system for the icons of static object, or any object for that matter, put an object in some area, try to align it the best you can. The only way to see the results would be launch the mission, a freaking long process & long loss of time to align everything IMO. Exit the flight; retry to re align, re launch and so on… Very aggravating…
-
will these be included in a future version of dcs?
TheMoose replied to polomeister's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Nevertheless, these types of balloons would be a very good tactical situation to ambush the enemy and yes a very cost effective method I might add lol ;) If I recall something I’ve seen on the military channel, something similar has been done in WW2… -
Any update? Looking foward to this map. Cheers
-
Maybe, but the video shows otherwise. I’m not a real pilot, but the facts are, in this video. The famous shakes compared too FC2. Well FC2 seems a bit exaggerated…
-
Exactly my thoughts...
-
Good example, the piper remains stable; the shake in FC2 is too exaggerated IMO...

Don't know about you, but I was looking forward for a Mig29 (all flavors), Su27, Su33 campaigns. Especially the Mig, since it’s my favorite. I know I can make my own, but the learning curve of the editor is too much for me to handle for now. I would have hope that campaigns for these "birds" would have been included in FC2… I’m disappointed in this regards. Just my 2 cents… Regards,
