At least for the BS1 key (which i bought from Stema because of BS2 Upgrade) you cant get any key from Steam. I wrote to the Support, they asked for a Screenshot of my Steam Library and now i have a full BS2.

I also prefer using lua instead of TARGET. And there are many functions allready layed out which you can use. With a bit programming knowledge you can easily add or tweak some of these. If you are able to edit a TARGET script you should be able to edit that lua script. Only downside (especially as long as its in Development) is that you get your lua file regulary overwritten by updates.

Do we have any statement or rumours if this will be a FC3 or full fidelity plane? Really hope that it will be a full fidelity but F-18 is still in development and will be for a while so im a bit curious.....

Hm i just tried it once but i shoot one at a Bear and i cant see any advantage over an Aim-7 (in current version). I had to go pretty close to the Bear until i get the "Shoot" in the HUD. Shouldnt the 120 be an BVR Weapon? I will do a few tests and hopefully i did something wrong on my first try. Any other experiences with actual BVR kills? Oh and just a note to the whining about Updates, ED is doing a great job on this. Constantly providing meaningfull updates. I bought the Harrier too and the F-18 is in a far superior Development Stage even if you compare the Day 1 F-18 with the current Harrier.

Do i need to setup something special in MissionEditor to get the ICLS running? Or Maybe i have to recreate the whole Mission? I have a Mission (created prior the last patch) with Stennis and some targets. But i didnt get an ILS needle when i approach with channel 11 active. Tacan works and its with perfect visibility so i can visually check if im on course. I want to check out the needles before i turn out the lights ;)

Ich überspring mal den Teil mit den wilden Spekulationen und Anschuldigungen Gegenseitig und ED gegenüber und äußere das was ich eigentlich sagen will: Ich hoffe schwer das ILS in absehbarer Zeit in der EA zur Verfügung steht. Ist ja schließlich ein Allwetter Jet und ich mag es bei besonders üblen Wetter zu landen. Das Flugzeug fühlt sich jetzt schon bei weitem besser an als die Harrier, bei beiden ist noch nicht alles fertig aber ED hat die Prioritäten bei den Systemen anders gesetzt. Was meiner Meinung nach sehr gut gelungen ist und den Flugspaß fördert!

How do you Guys handle the NWS on crosswind landings? I just testet with 10kts crosswind. Start is ok i had to push left rudder almost full to keep it straight. Landing is another topic. I tried to keep the Plane straight via Rudder before touchdown. And im just skidding all over the runway. Maybe 10kts is allready too much crosswind for a naval plane, dont know. Whats your experiences?

Also in the German Version, plz make the Instructor louder. I had to set everything to zero to be able to hear him.

Hi, i experienced a freeze twice today. I generated a Mission with an Carrier and a Enemy Plan, i flew and shoot that Plane down, then i wanted to return to the carrier and the game freezes. The Freeze before was while i trained Carrier Landings. 1st landing everything fine, without reloading the mission i launchend the plane again and a few minutes later it freezes. I had to close the Game via Task Manager since there was no Windows Message that DCS stopped working (at least the 2nd time). I provide you with the log and the Mission, dont think its a problem with the mission but maybe it helps. In another Thread i read something about a .crash file, where do i find it? (in case you want it ofc.) dcs.log.txt F18_carrier.miz

I do zoom in and configured some Snap Views for this and other stuff.

Thanks for the usefull infos, beside the usual "Why early access when you know its not fully functional" stuff. Just keep that comments they are of no use and didnt answer a single question. Of course one day will every System be implemented. But how about some kind of Roadmap or at least a priorization of features available to the public? Oh and yes they are making progress, i read it from time to time to check how its progressing. By the way that RAZBAM has multiple projects going on and still making progress here is nothing i would consider positive, im more concerned that they taking to much projects at once while still having complex Plane Systems to implement.

My advices to learn landings: - start out in calm weather without crosswinds - do a proper approach (up wind leg, base leg and final approach) - watch your height and your speed (use always the same altitude, e.g. 1000ft AGL and start to decent at the final approach) - watch for one thing at a time: first align to the runway, then watch your speed, short before the runway thrust idle and just concentrate on a nice landing, dont put the plane down keep it short above the runway and let the plane land itself. at the end it all comes down to practice, since you dont have an instructor in your backseat as it would be when you learn to land a real plane, just dont mind about crashed planes. Theres always a next try in a virtual world ;)

Since there is no answer i should consider this as an "no there is no such a template and will never be"?

Hey, maybe its just me but without the need (and possibility) of an INS allignment the whole Plane feels more like an FC3 or maybe WWII Aircraft to me. For me thats currently the Reason why i left the Harrier in the Hangar. Especially when you take a look at the F-18 in comparsion where the whole priorisation of features is different, first the flight systems and then everything other... Sure thats a very personal opinion, other people my have other opinions and there is no right or wrong here just opinions. So do we have any infos when the plane will be a bit more "complete" from that point of view?

Hi, is there some PSD Template for Helmets, Badges and Pilot Uniform? Wanting to put some colors on it.

I would rather see some kind of easy mode, something like "Easy Radio" for the Planes instead of FC3/4 where you just have a non clickable pit. I have no problem with people using the FC3/4 Planes but i think its sad that, if this stays as it is, you will never get a FC3/4 Plane clickable or vica versa. I would like to fly with F-15 for example but i just dont like the (in my opinion) dumbed down version.

More or less TF51 related. Is there a way to turn smoke on in both Planes? P-51 and TF-51? Just startet to train myself to participate in the virtual airrace, maybe next season.

Same experience here, using a P-51. The frequency is correct, because i requestet for startup and so on until im at the Taxyway.
