  1. you ahve to remove the r77 and the aim120, cause these missles became an issue after 1990 :-) and the e series too
  2. well there will come some pictures, just give me some more time, i am discussing right now some things with SKF. but i can tell you guys one thing, it is not to far ahead till you will get the pictures of the final 3d model. then we have to work on all the other stuff, integration into lockon

  7. ok, here we go. the only plane that is needed for a us navy mod is the f-18. although i think this bird looks really ugly, it is the best the navy has right now. it is more manuverable then the f-14, it has good medium range air to air weapons. it is a dual role fighter, that can also destroy sams in long range. it is carrier capable. it can be provided as singel or 2 seater. and one of the most important things, it is one of the most flexable aircrafts in the world that is operated right now. i think there is no real need for the tomcat to be included into BS, cause what do you want to do. play maverick chasing mig28 in black with red stars on the tail. LOL the tomcat is a nice plane but outdated by today and also in the time DCS will take place. the us navy only used the tomcat in the last years cause they had to wait for the new f-18 super hornet that has more range, more pylons, new electronics etc etc. so it is nice to see a new tomcat in the DCs series but not as flyable. that is timewasting
  8. hitman , i think in many things you are right but worng too. yes it is frustrating to see somebody bounce off your missle just by warping into space and play with starship glactica, especially when it took a while to get a good missile out or make the right move to even get it out at all. it frustrates me very very often that skill is not needed anymore to win the fight. yes the cheater has won the game, even the psychic war against me when he sees my missles or even bounces of. thats a fakt nobody in this community can denie, but what happens when you have an admin who uses this way of cheating. some people know who i have in mind but thats past and i do not care. i can only say hitman, train to kick the cheaters asses and show them that no possible cheat in lockon will get you down besides one, your foe. show them who has the guts to win a fight no matter what comes and for me it is allways a victory when i see somebody bounce of or fly unusual, cause he addmits to everybody that he is weak, so weak that he needs help from screenshots. to tell the truth, it is fun to get these cheater out of the sky ok, tackview is a good tool, but most of us fly in squads and we use the prog there all. where else then in a squad you can fly like in real life, nowhere cause HL is a chaos house when we take a look at it in a tactical aspect. we do not need tackview in MP in HL see ya in the virtual skys

  10. hi, tomcatz flys with me quiet often in the virtual squad we are in. so to your question he is still working on the eurofighter but it is getting closer and closer to be released. the team that is working on the eurofighter had to do some model polishing. release :-) yes he will release it, but the team wants be be sure everything fits right so just be patient and wait. i can only say that it will be released for sure. nobody just drops something when he works over a year on something :-) greets
  11. well it is fantastic news, but guys please remember one thing, all that might come takes alot of time and most of the times a huge team like simmod is. we allready try our best but when these tools might be handed to us we have to decide many things like what we want to do etc. so i assume that the community will call things the modders should do, but like allways all should keep in mind, that we are doing it in our free time or over nightshifts, so i think we should be free to decide what we do, but for now. BS is not released and then the next things might come. i only hope that ED supports us with all our upcoming projects :-)
  12. the AH 64 D it is ugly like a racecar but sophisticated like a bulldozer or tank. it has superior target aquisition systems and a nice range. alot of good tankbusting missiles and a nice 30mm canon for lightly armoured vehicles and personal. so all together with the 2 man cockpit it sums up to be for me the most powerfull helo that is on the market and combat tested. the eurocopter tiger is about the same, just does not have enough weapons

  14. it sits in the cockpit, arms are not moved do to the animation question, but that will be solved in the next days. still there are other more imprtant things that are on my list, but do not worry :-)

  16. locks nice so far. you might want to check with the ed team how many polyies are available for a vehicle, so you know if you can go more into details, which i would recommend you. but it is looking good so far. keep it up cheers borchi ( aka boom boom)
  17. @coyote: well i am not bitter, but we the simmod team are in close contact with ed and have some guys who allready work for ED. we as a team do our best the get a result that is excepted by ED if they want to have the model. as far, the pilot is in all the limits of ED requierments. the pilot has 8000 polyies which is the limit. less would make the pilot even uglier and still now there are many problems to animate the pilot in a good way. as designers we have to go unconventional way do to the trouble that there are no argumentations for the pilot. what i can say about the leggs and the boots, they are not so important, cause most of it you cannot see, because the cockpit is covering it up. but when you want to show me stuff others have made, just feel free to show examples. greets boom boom thanks for all the guys who translate ;-)
  18. well i never mentioned it that way :-) i just figured that the airframe was changed and that the end of the hook is not covered anymore. thats the difference and that what i wanted to know what the community things about
  19. well the pilots he showed are mainly made with textures, and there is no offence but, to compare it with what we do and what they look for, lol, nope i better stop here
  20. ok this is a question for all f-15 lovers. i have just figured that the us aif force does not use the hooks at the f-15c anymore, there for i am thinking about the fact that i have to model the rear of the fuselage between the nozzles a bit diffrent. my attemt is to model the actual f-15c that is flying today, so keep that in mind when you ask yourself this question: do we need the hook area like the f-15 had in the 80ies? many many aswers are welcome, so please feel free to post your thoughts, so that we as simmod team have something to work with. cheers boom boom

  22. well i forgot to post some stuff here, so the threat disappeared, lol here some stuff for you guys. it is coming sooner and sooner most details will be posted at the simmod forum, sorry for that, but we are a team:-)
