Yes, for pure performance (FPS) I don't know, but having DCS on an SSD will reduce load time>no more freezes or stuttering. Buy an SSD will be my next upgrade.

I have a similar spec to your's (except my CPU: I5 4690K @ 4.3Ghz), and similar issue... the HDD is the culprit, as reported by others users. What work for me: both shadows options set to flat and flat only, visibility distance set to medium, and try to not play too much with the "zoom" fonction, you will notice freeze when zooming in/out. Not easy to see in your video, but is your mirror activated? even with my rig (I5 4690K OC@ 4.3Ghz/16 GB RAM @ 2133Mhz/ GTX 970), i have a huge FPS drop (going from 80/90 to 30/40). Not sure if this is the culprit, but worth the try.

The new textures seems to be stunning, and they deserve money. Should they sell them seperatly as a DLC or include them for free and pay Starway? Well I have no problem to pay someone for quality work, today 15$ is nothing, even a pizza and a beer are more expensive than this...but i think like others those textures can bring new players to the game, it look SOOO much better....they've made their choice, looking forward to buy them.

Ok, thank you for your answer. I have an i5 4690K @ 4,3/4,5ghz, coupled with a GTX 970 and 16Gb RAM @ 2133 mhz, that should do the trick. I'm thinking seriously about getting both....Gazelle first, I think I will wait a bit for the Rift. This must be a great experience!

Know bug, change your native resolution to 2560x1440 with nvidia control panel before entering the game and enjoy!
