Here we go. Thanks for your help. It works with Xplane 11, but cant get it to work with this :/ Like I said, The apps connects, shows correct position of aircraft at spawn point, and then doesnt seem to receive any other updated position (shows me stationary) Export.lua DCS_NMEA.lua

I will tomorrow when I get home. Thanks for your help.

I tried to do just that but it didnt work. I am not too sure as to how to set things up in the app itself. The only way I got it to connect was setting up DCS_to_GPS for foreflight and selecting Xplane as an input device in Flt Plan Go. It connects and the app gets the initial spawn position of my aircraft in DCS put it doesnt seem to update afterwards. I tried creating a custom input device with foreflights port in Flt Plan Go but that didnt connect at all.

Is there a way to make this work with FltPlan Go (Ipad). I use it with Xplane and it is absolutely great (and free) but I can't make it work with this for some reason.

Is it possible to edit Jester wheel's position ? Mine is spread out on my 2 monitors and not really usable :s It worst in real life since my monitor is down and has Thrusmaster MFDs on it.

I personally use both. I wouldn't say one is better than the other: VR is more immersive and it makes it a lot easier to track other aircrafts with your eyes. Formation flying, helo cargo hook up, AAR is a bit easier. It is however a bit harder to read stuff in cockpit, things become hard to spot in the distance, and it becomes really hard to take notes and use reference material while you fly. It is also pretty tiring after 1h30+ of play, especially in the summer months. TrackIR sucks when it comes to tracking other aircrafts or ground targets during a fight. But it allows you to see things more clearly in and out the cockpit. It is also much easier to take notes and read maps and charts. So I tend to use VR for short casual flights and TrackIR for longer and more complicated missions. I think the way to go is to find a buddy to try VR first and if you like it there are very cheap track IR alternatives that can complement it (Delan clip, Trackhat etc). My rig is a i7, 16gb RAM with GTX 1070 and I wouldn't say performance is a big factor for me. I use the standard VR preset profile when I play in VR and the High preset with a few tweeks when I don't.

5 Virtual Wing Canada / 5e Escadre virtuelle du Canada 5 Virtual Wing Canada / 5e Escadre virtuelle du Canada Our group has already been featured on this page but I feel like we now have quite a bit more to offer. 5 vWing Canada is an organisation that puts the pursuit of realism at the forefront of its activities; don't expect crazy dogfights every night. This doesn't mean that we require our members to know everything about real life procedures, nor do we claim knowing everything. We simply find pleasure in learning as much as we can about the real deal and using it to improve immersion. 5 vWing is a bilingual (French/English) organisation: Members are free to use the language of their choice to communicate with others and for inner flight radio communication. However, since realism is at the core of what we try to accomplish, English is used for radio communications between flights and with ATC and tactical controllers (JTAC, ATC, GCI). We have lots of unilingual anglophone members that enjoy the group as much as everybody else. Website We now feature: A complete 2 step training program for F-18, A-10C and Huey pilots. A free (member only) growing online learning plateform based on teachable. 20 lessons that will teach everything from the basics of aerodrome operations to Air Policing procedures, BVR tactics and more ! Possibility to learn how to act as a GCI controller, JTAC or white cell member using LotATC and Combined Arms. Not so fond of the boat ? Finally a group with some Sea AND Land Based Hornet action ! Training is normally held on Monday and Wednesday at 2000hrs Eastern Time Zone (ET). We use the free Black Sea Map for most of our operations. We also recently moved from Univers Radio to SRS, removing the need to purchase a program to fly with us. We are in our 9th year of uninterrupted operation.

DCS: F-16CM Block 50 by EDSA Discussion Thread

because everybody has known about this for months now... -
I have been looking for some UNCLASS documentation about A/A tactics such as PUMP (grinder), SKATE/SHORT SKATE, BANZAI, CRANK, BRACKET, NOTCH attack etc. Any information about comms flow from the pilot's perspective would be appreciated (AFTTP 3-1 seems to be aimed at controllers for the most part). I have a basic understanding of how they work but I don't have any documentation I can share with my squad mates.

Exactly. SOPs vary alot around the world. I've seen QNH & QFE used at home and while deployed all the time. Idk why USMC_Trev persists in dumping more US-Centric useless info in this thread but I think the initial post has been answered.

Way to not address any of my points... Didn't think the literacy rate in the US military was still so low.
