  1. I have a 1080 Ti OC'ed pretty damn well, with a CPU OC'ed to 4.7ghz and 16GB of RAM...and I'm lucky to consistently achieve what I bolded above in your post. Not sure what 2.5 will bring to the table, but I am sorry to say that you'll either have to change your budget or change your settings.
  2. I am still trying to figure out what in the world I could bind all of these axes and buttons to in the Harrier (or Hornet or Tomcat in the future)...anyone mind to share their plans? I feel like if I go with a MCG I am going to end up with a bunch of unused buttons, considering the real HOTAS mapping of a Harrier/Hornet/Tomcat requires significantly less axes/buttons. The only thing I can think of is adding, outside of the actual functions mapped to the real sticks, are a Kneeboard On/Off with a Kneeboard Pg Up and Pg Down -- most likely on the index finger 5-way. Other than that, I am drawing blanks.
  3. If it can be made into portrait, this would make for a very useful Kneeboard page (assuming F10 is turned off) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Please drop in speedtree before launch He did, wasn't sure if it was a misstatement or not though (it's tough doing a live stream while preoccupied with flying a complex jet, so would be understandable if it was). Haven't seen or heard any discussion/confirmation since that though...also don't know (assuming it wasn't a misstatement) if he meant on launch, or in due time. Edit: awful typing on phone lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. 64GB of RAM is excessive, even your current 32 GB of RAM is mostly excessive for DCS usage....unless you plan on 5+ hour sessions and springing memory leaks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Damn, it's a shame that today is the fiancee's bday so I'm banned from DCS for the day :noexpression: Enjoy, hope the testing goes well. Welcome back, buddy!
  7. Perfect, thank you!
  8. So let me make sure I am following properly...I am going to order a JetSeat SE from Andre for use in DCS only via USB. The seat is all I will need to order? Then I just download the freeware SimShaker for Aviators, and I have the best available software for USB integrated JetSeat for use with DCS?
  9. You can also use SkateZilla's tool to bounce the same install back and forth between the Stable and the Open Beta, correct? That would only necessitate 1x the SSD space.
  10. Brilliant! I sold my $1100 Steelcase Leap V2 chair to her as a health investment as well. Told her it was to ensure healthy posture and no back issues later in life. Great minds think alike, it seems  She seemed to buy it, but who really knows?! The important thing is that she didn't bitch about me purchasing it.
  11. I'm in the same boat, brother! My fiancee told me I can get my Slaw RX Viper pedals (which have been ordered for months) plus one other flight related thing before our wedding and honeymoon, which is in late May through early June, and the rest would need to come after. So...I need to know if the VKB HOTAS should be my "one other thing" (I am going to make an attempt at exploiting a loophole, hopefully, and ordering both the stick and throttle as a bundle and count it as only one thing), or if I should just order my JetSeat SE instead and plan to pick this up once we get home from the honeymoon :music_whistling:
  12. And in August/September of last year, he told me "yes, now I will work hard on it and prototype for production will be done by end of september, but we still need time to produce in enough quantity after that... We will probably start taking orders for combat style in October or November on same principle as we take orders now." He had said similar to others prior to this as well. The process seems to be dragging on for whatever reason (I am sure there is a good one). I am sure they will be great whenever they are released, it just might be a while still...hard to say, and hard to take his estimates with much more than a grain of salt. Nonetheless, there are better options available anyway...a perfect example being the BRD F2 pedals. Never did much digging on the F3, etc because I wanted to be able to install a damper.
  13. Sounds good, thanks boss. Good luck with the busy next couple of days! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Ciribob - Wanted to circle back with you as I know that you and I had quite a bit of back and forth on your Discord trying to get my SRS set up (recall that I was having issues with the Preview Audio function not working, despite eventually learning that my SRS TX/RX functioned properly in normal use). During troubleshooting of another mod for DCS (VAICOMPRO), I couldn't get the "Chatter" add-in to work although Windows showed it as playing audio. So on a whim I decided to uninstall the Soundblaster Z audio software to see if that would fix my issue. Sure enough that fixed the problem I had with that mod, and fixed the issue you and I could never solve. I wanted to thank you again for all of your help and pass this bit of info along, in case it came up again with another user. Might be useful for your playbook. Cheers!
  16. One last follow up question, can I order the MCG Pro without any labels at all? Labels on either this of the TECS might be a deal breaker for me...I hate labels.
  17. Does anyone have a measurement from top to bottom of the Gunfighter Pro base with the extension and a MCG mounted?
  18. Unveiling the VKB TECS Throttle Control System You're aware that UIV posted the image of the SETS in this thread, correct? Two posts down from where he showed the front of the throttle. See post #65. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That looks great, dude! Jabara's stories on some documentaries I've seen are some of the primary reasons I love the Sabre. Thank you for posting.
  20. Comes with the territory on carrier ops...inherently a paramount will be placed on AAR  I love it! Same can be done currently with taking off from the carrier on the Tarawa in the Harrier.
  21. Yes! The Harrier is the only plane, to my knowledge, that does this correctly
  22. Ah, I guess I am just assuming one of the side buttons is a 3-way (Pos 1- OFF - Pos 2) whereas you're not. Got it.
  23. Understood that the speed brake might be a little different as you described previously -- according to the NATOPS there is extend/off/retract, so we could at least mirror it in a simple fashion, perhaps the Config software could allow us to partially extend it if we tap it, or to fully extended if we hold for 1+ second. What am I missing? I still don't see the 3-way that was referenced. Obviously TBD on if there is a pinky switch on the outside or not.
  24. What 3-way toggle? There is what appears to be an analog stick/4-way + push where the Hornet has it's 3-way CM Dispense switch...so 2 more press options, meaning this could then be used for the Radio Mic switch like the Warthog. It then has two additional 2 (maybe more?) way switches, one for the speed brake and one for whatever (in the Hornet this is the 2-way radio switch). It has a cage/uncage button in nearly the same spot as the Hornet, and then it has an extra button. So, not sure what 3-way (or more?) you see missing. On the front the Hornet has a TDC slew, 2 buttons, and a wheel. This has 2 buttons, a TDC slew (assuming this is a ministick), and an antenna elevation wheel. In other words, it has the exact same things. The rotary is there. Maybe I am missing something? But I am looking side by side with the NATOPS manual...
  25. When I was looking at this I was assuming that both the index finger and thumb hats acted (or could at least optionally act) as analog sticks/TDC slews; is that not the case? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
