Red Flag Rumble - New Year's Eve Maybe there's a lot of stuff to be briefed on [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack And the voice command trainer is pretty damn slick too! There's a ton of really nice improvements over the old version, definitely worth the small price. Plus, in general, you should reward people who invest their time in a product you use all the time for free...by rewarding them back with a small fee when they get the product to a place that it supports one. 1. In the Configuration menu, near the very bottom of the list by the TX commands it's called "*Chatter*"...just double click it, then click the "..." button out to the right for "When I press" and set it to whatever key/button you want. 2. Yes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very bottom of the command list, down by the other Tx Commands. 0 is the standard binding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The real question is when is someone going to come out with a modded handle for the increase/decrease slider for sale, that can be used to replace the standard grey slider... [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh really? That is awesome, I would love if someone came up with a way for it to work -- I know nothing about this stuff unfortunately, it's way over my head, so I will be very little help.

Will do, I will look at it tonight when I am home from the office  I will follow up here.

VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack I had already seen post #33 I've added the Chatter.dll where the ReadMe says to and I've activated my key (and had done so previous to my post) What else am I missing? Should it work with the Harrier and the Eagle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack Thanks, Hollywood. VA heard "Boulder City" properly, so I'll just need to add it myself...I'll make sure I follow the Finish steps, I remember seeing them in the manual but don't remember the details. New question: I have my Chatter key added, and I can't ever seem to get it to run. I've used 0 to toggle it and still never hear anything? VA is recognizing the toggle for "Chatter", I just never get any audible chatter. I even went in to options and selected "Navy" as my preferred, instead of "Auto", and still nothing. Does this only work when in the air with particular planes, or am I missing something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Working for me so far, at least for the most part. I will do some of the voice training tonight after I get home from the office for the troubled commands (like "bogey dope"). However, it doesn't seem like Boulder City is an ATC Command -- am I just missing this? VA knows I am saying "Boulder City" but it doesn't do anything.

I'm trying to figure out how (or even "if") I should set up my PTT configuration for "Easy Comms Off"...every jet I fly has different mappings for usage of the radio mic switch; how are others handling this? To date, with the previous VIACOM, I've always just used Easy Comms On and used a Common PTT for VA...I have also pretty much only flown the F-15, so it's been ultra simple. Here is what I would find some flight manuals for the jets I intend to fly in the foreseeable future: It also doesn't help that I don't even know what "UHF 1 and 2" or "COMM 1 and 2" radios are used for. Just looking to find the best way to simplify things down to be used the same way with all modules, if possible. edit: I should also note that I will be using this in tandem with SRS for Radio Comms, if that could be leveraged to make things easier edit2: As I've read further along in the manual it seems like VAICOM should take care of it for me...I can just run Easy Comms "On" and use TX 1, TX 2, and TX3 -- this should be close enough to real life for me, and will remove the nuance of having to remember different PTT setups for different jets. I actually use the Mic Switch Fwd for VR Zoom and the Mic Switch Push In is my TeamSpeak PTT, so this should work out for me.

As long as it keeps the annoying "VR Hands/Gloves" from constantly showing on screen...that is the worst :music_whistling:

Very nice, thanks Wags!

Probably true, at least for $700 the Slaw pedals I've ordered are top notch quality with the highest grade sensors and aircraft metals... Still, this throttle design is so attractive to me. I am waiting for the VKB to announce their throttle but I'm 95% it will be based on Redfor jets...so not really a great fit for my NATO Western bias. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VAICOM PRO plugin for VoiceAttack Thanks, Hollywood. Will purchase once I get home from the office. I'm curious, is there any way I can update in a way that I merge/retain my current profile additions from the original VAICOM? For example I have added some phrases to your profile because VoiceAttack never understands me...for example, when I say "bogey dope" it thinks I say "bowl you don't" or any number of other things. Is it possible for me to easily merge these one off additions I've made? Or will need I need to manually add them? Thanks, and looking forward to PRO! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

100% right there in the boat with you  -
Great review, glad you like it. This is still #1 on my list of throttles, just waiting to see what VKB will announce whenever they get around to announcing their throttle.

** F-14 Road to Release + Christmas Update!! **
Buckeye replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Correct, kontiuka. This isn't the most appropriate thread for a debate on the greatness of 2018 in totality, so I don't want to get OT, but my general point was that the bar will be set very, very high in 2018 with: -Complete revamp of the graphics engine in 2.5 (lighting, shading, quality, effects, etc, etc) -One of the most iconic fighter jets of all time in full fidelity with multi-crew and an AI RIO (Tomcat) -One of the most popular multi-role jets of modern times with the US Navy (Hornet) -I would assume the Harrier will make it out of Early Access in 2018 -Potentially the F-4 -Potentially the J-17 -Potentially Carrier Ops -Potentially the Strait of Hormuz map -Who knows what else in terms of other maps, other jets, warbirds, effects, etc... That's a pretty tough bar to be set for one single year, and IMO would be a tough one to surpass in any given year in the future given the time necessary for development of such high quality simulations. Sure many more great jets will be simulated, but will they be released in the same year as each other? And with a new game engine? You can also only be the first to do multi-role once, and the first release of Carrier Ops can only come once as well. There has been years of "deferred satisfaction" that will be coming to fruition in 2018, and that is exciting and IMO will be difficult to replicate or exceed in the future. It's a great time to be a part of the DCS community and Heatblur is a major reason for that. Everyone has their own headline from the list above, mine is the Tomcat. Just my personal opinion. Perhaps cichildfan thinks every year in the future will have this many ground breaking things releasing in the future, to each their own. In my mind, there are only so many "top tier" jets that can be simulated (Tomcat and Hornet are my top 2 of all time, so this is a dream year for me)...and the limited number of those top-tier jets reduces each time one is simulated and released; at least until another is declassified and approved for development. Add in the fact that that I don't anticipate DCS engine rebuilds being an every year thing...and the odds of it timing up with multiple ground-breaking jets being released in the same year...and yes, I think 2018 will be the best year of DCS releases. That's not a negative thing at all, just a statement of how great of a time it is for DCS currently. -

Fantastic update, very well said Cobra. Happy holidays to you and the rest of the HB team. 2018 is shaping up to be the best year DCS has ever seen (and probably ever will see) -

2.2 & 1.5.8 VR Performance!!! Well done ED!!! 1.5.8 runs like * in VR for me, 2.2 runs pretty damn well (takes a century to load up in a server the first time and when I spawn in I don't have a plane for 30 seconds, but it eventually loads). That's why I'm not even bothering with 1.5.8 anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
