  1. +1, for the sake of saving everyone's hearing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. These are fantastic, thanks for sharing with the community. We all very much appreciate it. S! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Can also recommend the 1.2PD and 2x MSAA...great balance. I'm running with everything else on High, max sliders, 16x AF and it's holding 45+ pretty much constantly. I'm still running in to issues on the 104th around Kutaisi on the ground and around Kolki, but other than that it was running really great for me (FWIW I think even with the lowest settings I'd have issues in these areas). 4. Does it work in VR? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Appreciate the insight, and yes...I fly pretty much exclusively in MP in the 104th (a heavily scripted mission with thousands of units), so I need to factor that into the performance I will see. Incredibly helpful post, thank you sincerely for this. +1, it should be very helpful not only to myself, but also to many others in the same dilemma. I think I will try 1.2PD + 2x MSAA tonight after returning home from the office  As efficiencies are gained in the coding of 2.5 over time, I will continue to creep back up with the settings.
  6. Has anyone extensively tested 2x MSAA vs 4x MSAA and can comment on how much improvement they noticed in visual quality? I have moved from 1.5 PD + 2x MSAA to 1.3PD with 4x MSAA, and performance delta was about a wash. I honestly can't discern which looks better/more clear in the cockpit (regarding text legibility, etc). That said, on the 104th server with heavy loads from units, etc I see drops into the 20-30's quite a bite more than I would like. Considering dropping to 2x MSAA at 1.3 PD after work today, just wondering if the visual quality of the spread between 2x and 4x MSAA is huge?
  7. I have the same issue, even with Master Volume turned down below the recommended 50% (and all of my other in cockpit sounds are also lowered).

    Data Cartridge

I really hope that it will include functionally to support a data transfer cartridge that is created during pre-flight mission planning, and loaded in the jet during the start up process. Would bode very well for realism, as well as leveraging great programs such as CombatFlite (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195724)
  9. Wags said himself in the Hornet Live Streams that the new canopy shadows coming via 2.5 in the Hornet are insanely good (I would assume they will evolve in other jets, too)...you don't want to miss out on that now do you?
  10. Agreed, my CPU @ 4.7ghz hardly ever goes over 50-60% on any single core load. It's not the bottleneck. Meanwhile my 1080Ti GPU, overclocked as fast as it will go, is the obvious bottleneck...although it has been topping out at only a 93-95% Memory Core Load lately. I need ways to create some GPU headroom, just so that my CPU can then be further utilized in parallel (if necessary at all). Hopefully they can offload some tasks from the GPU to the CPU. Agreed, but those not in VR have other options as workarounds -- i.e force AA through Nvidia Control Panel and supplement with Reshade.
  11. Looks like how the sun would reflect in RL to me.
  12. Agree on the amount of push buttons, really hoping that the final version is fitted with many more 3 way switches are those are what I find most often in the jets I fly.
  13. As always, Andre...you're the man! Can't wait to see it
  14. Damn, I shouldn't have ordered a custom cover/pad! I ordered mine/paid on January 12th, still have a week or so to go for shipment (as of my last update). Glad you're enjoying yours so far, can't wait to get mine all set up and running :pilotfly:
  15. Actually, plenty of people bought the Harrier from RAZBAM when the Mirage was still a WIP. Also, hasn't the Viggen only been out a year (maybe not even a year yet?). That strays a bit from your "few years into alpha release" comment. I'd recommend to calm down a little and not buy products still in EA, unless you're prepared to deal with your purchased product being in EA status
  16. FWIW I have been working between 50 and 55 as well, between 51-53 most often. I do the same thing as you, except I only worry about world scale from and inside the cockpit POV as I never use external views anyway...I load in to the cockpit and change the setting and see what "feels right". I've sat in a number of different jets at the Wright Patt Dayton Air Force Museum, so I use that as my proper scale to make it as true to life as possible.
  17. IIRC Wags posted he uses an IPD (for world scale) of 50 in DCS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Same for me. Works just fine on TGP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Odd, Deferred Shading looks stunning in my Rift. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The real pilot takes his hands off the HOTAS too... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I was under the same impression. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Won't be around to join this weekend, but hoping it goes over well so I can participate in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'm sitting at the airport to catch a flight to Palm Beach for the next 5 days, so you'd probably be better off having someone else do that. Sorry! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. 2.5 Black Screens with DMT/TGP Did you try taking it out of STBY and targeting (TDC select) something that's not the sky or water? It will stay all green but you can see the terrain. Then you can change from CCP to FLIR in the TPOD screen. My DMT, TPOD and Mavs work perfectly 100% of the time in 2.5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
