Update copckpit for better VR experience?
Buckeye replied to Sandman1330's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Update copckpit for better VR experience? A-10C could definitely use a major rework for the pilots head position and the way the HUD is scaled and projected. The Harrier does this perfectly. Agree that I would like to see a pilots body as well, but I believe that has been said to be coming sometime in the future IIRC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Much appreciated

Response from Thrustmaster re. F/A-18 HOTAS

Link to the Hornet style stick? Or are you referencing their PAK-FA/Su-57 stick (i.e. the MCG)? -
Next aircraft speculation Hopefully it's something modern for the Red side. But I think it will be Heatblur announcing a Tornado. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's an easy one for me...fully functional E-2! Multicrew, provides human GCI capabilities, lands on a carrier. It's perfect [emoji1305] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

104th Phoenix - Operation Longbow - Dynamic PvP Mission
Buckeye replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Multiplayer
lmao, I wonder if it's caused by the mission being tuned to work with 2.5...so some positioning of things is a little "off" in the current 1.5? -

Radio 2 isn't functional currently in the Harrier...it sets, but it doesn't actually tune to the freq where you can T/R (at least to my knowledge). -

Yes, and 128 isn't preset in the Harrier... Regarding your request for ATC cheat sheets, attahced is a WIP version of what I have in my kneeboard. It's tailored to work with Voice Attack + VAICOMPRO voice commands (the red text and voice command columns are keywords), but it could work as a decent starting point for others to reference. I have other ones I am working on for the radio calls, radio etiquette (checking in, etc, etc). Disclaimer: I am no pilot or ATC pro, so this may be not 100% accurate. It's based on a lot of reading and research I've done recently, as well as watching some videos on the subjects. Feel free to call out an inaccuracies. ATC Inbound.pdf ATC Outbound.pdf -

One thing to mention with SRS and ATC is that Harrier pilots currently cannot tune to 128.5. This is a known issue and it will solve itself when RAZBAM updates the radio modeling. So, if you see you a Harrier not talking with the ATC...don't attack him, that's probably why. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I've had 0 of the issues you've had. Your "request vector" issue sounds like you have options set up incorrectly where you're allowing it to just instant select or something. Your concern on "for" and "four" is legit, but you can work around this I'm sure by editing the keywords. I'm sure Hollywood will respond to advise. The other things you've mentioned are nothing like anything I've experienced...training mode works perfectly for me, and as a result Im experiencing better recognition than I ever thought possible. Very much looking forward to trying this out. Thanks for the time and effort, Mav. We all appreciate it immensely. -
Sounds like it's time to start studying. This is a study sim, after all. You'll learn to enjoy it...or you'll flake out of DCS eventually, or just revert back to FC3 level aircraft. Always plenty of guys around willing to answer questions as well. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Would be interested in purchase just the keyboard mount with mounts for other up front modules. Really cool concept if it is module down to that level. My stick, throttle and pedals are already fastened together on a moveable mount/platform (my WSP), so I am hoping it will be an option to get just the keyboard and other front dash modules to mount to my desk [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Indeed, that is what has concerned me a bit as well. I'll probably hold strong a bit longer and then give up (if they give no comment) and order the MCG Pro instead. I just really wanted the actual grip for my Hornet and Harrier flying to be as immersive as possible :helpsmilie:
