  1. ...orrrrrrrrrr the person who fired blows up when the missile impacts his target (you) and you go flying on your merry way your game isn't impacted at all and the offender gets treated to the map screen wondering what-the-heck-oh-darn-i-guess-you're-not-allowed-to-shoot-friendlies-here and learns a very valuable and important lesson in the process *problem solved*

  4. ??? of course TKs (friendly-fire - blue-on-blue) happens in real-world but DCS is full of "non real world" features to facilitate the "game" aspects of this SIMULATION (labels, visual enhancements, the SCOREboard, instant and perfect BDA via chat msg log, the ability to oh say RESPAWN....... etc etc etc) i'm just here to say.. TKs are annoying and this is an idea that could go a long way to curtailing it just an idea guys
  5. just posted this over on the 104th's dedicated server thread one way to solve the TK problem is to make units invulnerable to own-side weapons - and instead of the target being destroyed, the shooter gets the explosion that was meant for the target not sure if that can be achieved within the current scripting language or if we would need to modify DCS itself to make that possible, but it sure would alleviate a lot of headache and lower the frustration levels thank you
  6. would be great if the person doing the teamkilling would be destroyed and the person getting shot would be invulnerable to own-side's weapons then TK'ing would be a self-solving problem i wonder if script-gurus could tackle that??
  7. i just noticed when i'm online and i land after a mission, and i open the re-arm/re-fuel window, the last loadout i loaded is already pre-populated... i remember asking for that a few months back and now here it is! thx for that! 8)

    remember, its not perpendicular to your flight path over the ground - its is perpendicular to your radar beam so no matter what your maneuver is, he can fly to the notch by putting you on his beam (3-9 line)
  11. request subtitles "off" by unchecking the box... still see subtitles in the game... or...... maybe i don't understand what "subtitles" are and that checkbox is turning something else off (??)
  12. here you go no way to know if its related but i've been getting a lot more "DCS has stopped working" crashes today 1.5.0 used to be so much more stable thx for looking in to this Logs.zip

  14. i don't see a thread on it but it seems like i'm seeing *worse* performance in 1.5.2 than in 1.5.0 how is this for everyone else?

  16. if anything, ground clutter needs to be INCREASED low alt radar performance needs to be reviewed the whole radar model needs to get a "PFM" (PRM?) ==edit== be careful what you wish for
  17. see sig for specs i get "good" FRs but.. also "it depends" yeah, i get 60fps over vegas ----- if i'm over ~3k ft MSL if i get lower - i get stuttering ---- in fact, i'm kinda fine if i just keep looking straight ahead but zooming in just-a-bit.. and i get stutters low-alt, looking out to the sides, zoom in 1/4 to 1/2 way - stutters zoom in all the way - not so much a problem so....... i wish i didn't have ANY problems whatsoever, but i can't actually say that

  21. haaaaahahaahaaa! that's really good - thx for that : ) (psst! gomer pyle was a MARINE!) and........ some people actually stood watch, deployed, demonstrated the requisite knowledge to become warfare-qualified - and then worked in modeling and simulation on their shore tour and actually had a hand in verification and validation of course-of-action-analysis tools (*cough*SIMULATIONS*cough*) that modeled those systems 8)

  24. and you know.. i've posted this before i think it bears posting here in this thread as well... did i miss something? is this simulator called "Digital Old/Declassified/Defunct/Obsolete Combat Simulator"? in light of this latest, my message to devs or prospective developers who are "testing the waters" or "floating a trial balloon" to gauge customer interest... just don't unless of course, you really want to NOT make a high-fidelity flight sim just build it - the sales will come as someone told me, there will always be a million reasons NOT to do something but again - to devs who want to build for DCS... DON'T. TELL. US. JUST. DO. IT.
