Well Ill be damned.. i guess I never noticed it because I don't fly that close to the lakes. The airports are always away from them, or near the ocean which isn't affected. I really think they should look into this as you can place FARPS any were you want and if placed near a lake, it makes it tough to judge alt.

I dont ever remember seeing this with lockon. Im gonna have to go re-install it and see now.

Sorry to dig this up, but this problem has not bothered me until last night when came to land on a FARP that was next to the lake. This water problem makes it very hard to come to a landing when this is what you see. =P Hopefully ED will do something about this :(

Oh you should get it if you have the money. Its the best thing for flight sim games and even some FPS games are starting to use it. :)

Me too. I have been looking forever for people to fly with and learn with, but havent really done any searching till recently. I need to learn the radios and data linking still :(

You ask your flight instructor where you plug in the 360 controller for the easy flight mode :joystick: You look around the car frantically and your friend asks you what your doing and you respond "I disabled the mirrors to save on the FPS" hahah

I have all 3 as well. I ordered my DVD copy from Gogamer and then the next day I went to FYE up at the mall and it was there >.< I had to wait for shipping :( haha. Oh well. I might give my English download to a friend so I can have someoen to fly with.

I think a better one would be if someone made it so that the heli is hovering behind some trees like it was coming up from cover. That would be sweet.

Oh I like this idea! Even though I have the checklist printed out, a nice laminated spiral bound version from ED broken up into "Pre-Start", "Startup", "Before Taxi", "Taxi", Before Takeoff", "Takeoff", "Climb-out", "Cruise", "Attack", "Decent", "Approach", "Landing" and "Shutdown". They don't all have to be on one page, but breaking up into those catagories or something similar would be a good additional bonus for us who by the book :)

And what day would that be so I can start counting down? :smartass:

I have a weird question and im sorry if it was mentioned before, but I didnt find it in the search. I have both the English and the Russian versions of this game downloaded and installed to the same drive, but into 2 different folders. Now I had the Russian version running a few days before the English one, then I got the English version, installed it and played that. Now I wanted to jump on the Russian version to make sure it was still running ok, side by side with the English version so I can give my father one of my English activations so we can play together, and without making any changes to the hardware, its asking me to activate the game again. Why is it asking me? I didnt uninstall it, or move it or touch it and I dont want to wast an activation on it again. I wanted to jump on the Russian version cause I was going to give my father one of my English activations so we can play together. Im afraid to activate it again because I dont want to lose one of my Russian activation and if I activate it anyways, Im afraid that the same thing will happen with my English version and lose one of those activations. Hopefully someone can help me out here. :cry:

a double post now eh.. Is it that bad? haha sorry. The stupidest thing I have done so far was forget to change my collective key bind so I couldnt take off. I was pulling my hair out for hours trying to figure it out.. Stupid slider on the joystick >.< HAHA but seriously the worst thing I have done was flying over some lake type thingy, I was paying more attention to the ABRIS map there, and not what was in front of me.. Looked up and smashed into a building >.< That sucked so much haha.
