Ya, don;t get Vista yet... i made that mistake. Unless you have a game that specifically takes advantage of DX10, it's not worth it. Vista really takes away a chunk from lock on especially. I'm almost sorry I upgraded (downgraded?:huh:) to vista...

In have 800MHz RAM. That should be ok. I guess my video card could use an upgrade, as does my processor. Many of us should worry about things to fly the chopper with. I just got pedals, but trying to figure out a collective mod for my X52. (I guess strapping a metal poll to it would work.) these should help a lot with the experience. I understand how to program it and have done so. However, even after I load the profile, the command does not work. (As in, it's not doing the W command!) EDIT Never mind. I reinstalled the drivers and it worked. (It seems only the beta ones work...)

That was exactly what i did.

I just got petals, an not having real issues with it except programing the toe brakes. I think The pedals are very easy to get used to. I LOVE TrackIR. But it took me a week to get used to it. It's WONDERFUL once you get used to it. If you have the entire setup (HOTAS, Pedals, and trackIR) It's a wonderful experience.

Yes, I'm running the beta SST. I think it's a vista problem. I don't know how to run the profiles or whatever under administrator.

Ok, I really like them (The rudder function at least), but I can't seem to get them programmed right. In the editor, I set the toe brakes to use the "W" key (wheel brakes) when pushed past 50%. Nothing happens in lock on. I opened up MS Word and I can't type. I can do this with my X52. Why is this happening? The same is the case with my Saitek gamer's keyboard command pad thingie. Thanks

Ok, I'm having an issue with my radar. It seems that the number at the bottom (usually 10) changes to 103 or 104 or something. Then I find that I cannot slew my antenna up and down correctly (Number changes, but the bar only moves a Tiny tiny bit.) I Tried a button combination, and Ctrl-I seems to work, but as soon as I input another command (Or move the stick) it reverts back to 104. I have no idea what's happening. I have recently re-installed lock on into a new directory (Not under the program files folder) so mod man would work, and this is when i noticed the problem. I have not yet installed any mods, so it cannot be that. Any ideas?

first you ground stabilize the cross hairs (Tab) then slew them onto the target. They will the auto lock, signaled by a slight shift in the display (as it "jumps" to the target and the small cross will flash. (LA) fire when ready Could I make you a track?

Well, ED could make both :D I think it's just a matter of which comes first. I suppose it matters though... were already waiting more than 27 months for a fighter. I'm still sticking with the F/A-18. And goya's right, the F/A-18 seems to be much more popular. @Pilotasso: I don't think anyone hates the F-16, I think they just prefer the Hornet.

The F/A-18 I want the F/A-18. Everything the F-16 can do, and more. We don't need another Falcon 4.0.

I heard it's actually to reduce the radar reflection off the pilot's helmet. that's why it's on the F-22.
