  1. I had to do this too. Seems the patch re-did the graphics.cfg file. I had to add the following lines back in to fix a bunch of things. I'll post them here in case anyone else finds them helpful. This is for the 3GO Su-27, Gys F-15C, SimMod A-10, Walmis Weapons, and ricardo's pit with the orange lights. These were the things affected by the patch.   4. Is this blasphemy in a flight sim forum? Regardless, it is beyond me why someone chose to include 6DOF in the Sim-Mod A-10 mod for FC2. Ok, I know everyone likes 6DOF (except me I guess lol) But serously! Don't add a feature to a mod it has nothing to do with! I have every intention of digging through these forums and my lockon directory to figure out how to change it back to the default values, but if anyone would be so kind as to point this very annoyed individual at the correct locations, that would be much appreciated. Oh, you might wish to know why I don't want 6DOF? I'm sure once you people got over your 6DOF-gasm you realized that the current lockon pits aren't quite as 3D as they should be. Ya, sorry, but those glitches and parallax issues kill it for me. Plus, there is no way in hell any pilot should be able to move around like that while strapped into the seat. You'd have to be some kind of contortionist to be able to stick your head down next to the stick (which isn't completely modeled on the back by the way? Have you checked that out?) not to mention doing so while pulling high Gs. Until ED either makes nice 3D pits for us or releases the tools to do it ourselves, no full 6DOF for me, please. So, am I blowing this out of proportion? Yes, probably. However, I think it's a fair request to at least make regular and 6DOF versions of the A-10 mod. There are reasons all-in-one mods aren't that popular. People like to tweak things they way they like. You're not leaving us options. So, if you have the info on how to change it back please post it if you can before I go digging for the information. However, this is more just a post about my opinion on the 6DOF matter. Now let the haters in... :music_whistling:
  5. Personally, I could see the appeal for a mint green HUD in FC1, but now, in FC2, the HUD symbology is semi-transparent. This gives you the lighter green color seen in the photograph when against a lighter background and the darker, richer green when against a dark background. While I'm no expert, I find the stock HUD color very realistic and usable. I think the mint-green HUD unnecessary as far as realism is concerned. My 2 cents.
  6. Do you have pictures of this? Yes, realism comes first. I originally went with blue as that was similar to what Ricardo was doing. However, I believe red is the most realistic color as it will not affect a pilot's vision during night operations as much. However, I am also almost certain there are settings for NVGs as well (green lights). Unfortunately, you cannot do both at the same time. However, A simple hue change can be done to the night textures to make it green, yellow, even pink if you so desired. This can be done easily in photoshop, GIMP or similar software. That would be awesome. I was recently forced to re-install windows. I have the files I was working on saved, so all is good. I should get back to work kinda soon. Aero

  9. Which isn't necessarily bad. To be completely honest, I first thought I was looking at a plane shot up with bullet holes. But yes, I think the black dots need to go, and make the other colors contrast each other more. Great start though. Liking the digital camo idea. Is this based off an actual skin? Aero

  11. This is what I see: As you can see, there's no really bad coastlines, but there are still some issues. However, you can still see similar ones on Mustang's pic (though not as much). I do not know what Teka Teka did in his mod exactly. as far as I can tell, he only re-packaged the textures in different .CDDS files, which makes no sense to me. Aero
  12. Ok, see the attachment below. I honestly have no clue if this will work for people. I don't have these issues with coastlines I don't think, so i need others to test it. what I need to know: 1) does it fix it (no oddly bright coastlines that stand out horribly) 2) make sure the textures match the land textures. ie, make sure they are the same as stock terrain textures. If 2 is not met, then uninstall all other previous coastline stuff and then install mine. Aero FC2_Coastline_beta.rar

  14. I don't know why this hasn't been brought up yet, but with this mod, we are using the old textures from FC1. The coastline color doesn't match the rest of the terrain. Can this be re-packaged with the correct coastline textures? i would do it myself, but i don't understand the inner workings of the mod. Actually, I'm off to figure it out right now... Aero
  15. TEWS finished. I'll try to see if I can get around to doing the VSD soon so it won't look too out of place. I really hope people are enjoying these...   16. It should not. We have edited the amount of 6dof to something much greater than default. However, I do not believe we edited the default head position and I still find it very playable. This is likely an isolated issue. Please post in our forums. I'm sure someone with a bit more knowledge than I can help you get this sorted out. Thanks Aero

  18. Thanks for flying the 104th! 104th_MoGas and 104th_Crunch put a lot of effort into making our current mission, Operation: Liberty. Airport operations are clumsy at the moment, to say the least. I will bring this topic up with those higher up in the squad. It is my personal belief that we specify the active runway. This can become quite confusing otherwise. We also need to find a way to keep people from taking off on taxiways. Again, thank you for flying our server! 104th_Aero

Still working on this HUD control is finished... ...with lights... ...along with the gear panel and the two things to the right of it, and the hook panel, which is not visible, but may be with a lot of 6DOF movement.
