For the pilot legs, could you release a .PSD template so we can add our own graphics to the legs? Just a thought. Aero EDIT: Another suggestion for the MFD of the Flanker. use a shot like at 0:23. I believe the camera angle will be more correct and realistic. I'm sure similar things can be found for the MiG and Su-25T
-
What about selecting tail numbers, as many have a preference, and some of us squad pilots have a set number we always fly with. Aero

Crazy font! Thanks Crunch!

Very true. Also, parts of the Su-25 and MiG-29A (Russian version) remain with a lot of the old textures (Stick and some gauges). The MiG-29A German version remain unchanged except for a few of the quages that happened to share textures with other cockpits. Can we look forward to these being improved in the future too? It looks kind of strange having some gauges looking really nice and others low-res. @skruLuse. I noticed the jumping out gauge. This happens on some other gauges as well, though it might not be able to be fixed. I will have screenies soon. Aero

A truly awesome job, Ricardo. There are some bugs I saw, and I'll notify you of them on PM, sometime... This is probably the most eagerly awaited mods ever! I would hate to see these bugs in the final product! Thanks again Ricardo. I'm proud to have helped beta test this mod, albeit just a little. Aero

Pressure sensitive? Wow, that's new for an unmodded stick! I won't be getting it, but I'm sure many will! :joystick: Looks nice, though still has that "spacey" Saitek look. :alien: Aero

Both are fine. I have custom cockpit with a center stick, and like Gadroc said, the CH petals do not accommodate this, as the pedals are so close together. I like Saitek in this area as the pedals are wider apart and you can adjust the tension. On the downside, they have jammed twice on me, which has required me to bring them down stairs and take the thing apart to fix it, which is a pain (There have got to be at least 16,000 screws on the back.) I have tried the CH pedals and they're fine. Nothing extremely great, but nothing bad either. Not as much travel though and a very light feel. If you just sit at a desk and use CH stuff already, I'd go with CH pedals. If you plan on making a pit with a center stick or something else separating your legs, you should go with Saitek. Aero

AI flight model incorrect?
Aeroscout replied to lifeliberty's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
It's either the diagram or the explanation. Never both. :wallbash: Could someone explain this please? I'm afraid I cannot read Russian and do not know what is being shown. Aero -
:surprise:Umm... wow. That's some tradition! Happy birthday man! You sure don't look 50! Aero

Diagrams please? I always thought SAMs could fire in any direction... Sorry If I sound really stupid, but I'm confused about all these 4x4 ladders and whatever. This could be really cool for multiplayer maps though, to do it correctly. Aero

That's a pretty big part, isn't it? ;) Aero

I upgraded for 4 to 5 with track clip pro and the difference was noticeable. If you have 3, you should definitely go for it (get TrackIR 5) Aero

sorry :P But he's right. learn to do it right in the toad. Aero
-
Unlikely, as I still get the shimmering clouds in Blackshark. But we can hope! :) Aero

Ok, that's exactly what I meant. So, nothing changes. It's the design, and while it's good in many ways, it is flawed, IMO. Personally I would argue that this issue is more important than new water textures or new 3d water, but who cares about what I say. And it's not like we should really care about water anyway, it's not like 3/4 of the wold is covered in it... oh wait... :D Aero
-
*sigh* :( Did I say anything about splitting up the water? no. But even if I did, the essence of an opinion is that it can't be wrong, it's simply an idea. :glare: But at least you agree it should be fixed. With all due respect, I beg to differ. Unless I misunderstood what you mean by "Visual Effect", this assumption is simply incorrect. If you're talking about a new water texture, nothing is getting fixed. The very fact the surface of the water is viewed several hundred meters below where it should be results in a very strange illusion. Judging height above the water is virtually impossible at the moment, and has nothing to do with the texture. Fair enough, but it still doesn't fix the bug, this is just an explanation for why you cannot fix it. Aero EDIT: one more thing, I really love blackshark, I'm saying this because it's really an issue with the game and it really should be fixed, especially in a helo sim and in the upcoming warthog sim. I'm not trying to pick fights. If it comes across this way, I apologize.

Actually, you don't have to. I took out a hawk site with bombs. Link: You only have to take out the search radar. The whole site will then be rendered useless. Of course, this isn't really the right way to do it and probably won't work in 2.0, but it's just for fun. Aero
-
Maybe I'm letting my temper get the best of me, but, really... This is a helo sim. I could care less if I'm flying a fast mover, but when I'm flying low in the black shark, this is what I see: So, ya, it kinda kills it for me a bit. The reason for all thos off topic stuff is, maybe something could be done about the rivers and higher elevation water. Aero
-
True enough, but you get some really weird illusions when going up river as the water appears a lot lower than where it actually is. And now, GG, your counter argument to invalidate my opinion? ;) Aero

Check out http://www.hagstromelectronics.com/ for some good keyboard encoders and http://www.allelectronics.com for some switches. Basically, these encoders look at the position of the switch (On or Off) and send keystrokes the to computer when a switch position is changed. So all you have to do is wire the ground wire to a switch, and then from the switch back to one of the terminals on the board. It's rather simple once you figure it out. But I must agree. Design your pit first. And of course, enjoy it! Building a pit is lots of fun, especially once it's all finished and you're flying in it (and showing it off to all your friends!) Aero

Advanced haze is switched on, right?
-
Yes. Here: http://lockon.co.uk/ Welcome to the forums! Aero EDIT: Crunch beat me too it!
-
Well, then it wouldn't matter anyway ;) Aero

Do you fly online? I say this because some servers run LRM, which will actually reduce the amount of chaff and flares available to the pilot (Though it's chaff only, I think). Otherwise, I have never hear of this. I was always under the impression that chaff and flares are set and cannot be changed. And welcome to the lockon forums! Aero

F/A-18 MFDs are also 5x5. I believe this to be pretty standard, though it wouldn't surprise me if the F-16's were smaller as it has such a tiny cockpit. If any one wants the bezel I used for my F/A-18 cockpit, feel free to PM me. They're 5in x 5in with 20 1/2in holes for the buttons. Aero EDIT: Or right here:
