  1. 80 dpi should be enough. The limit value for the most cases is 75dpi. But it also depends on your distance to the screen. If you have a distance of 4 meters to your 55 inch TV, then Full-HD would be enough but if you press your forehead onto the screen, then 4k would not be enough ;) The enlargement of all letters and fonts is the same as the enlargement of the screen, in case of a steady resolution of 4K and aspect ration of 16:9. 48 inches to 55 inches is an enlargement of about 15% in height and width. Letters do the same. Maybe its also possible to raise the font size by modifying some LUAs. You should search for that first before spending hundreds of bucks into a new TV. I guess 48 inches should be big enough already.
  2. Too small RAM causes loading stuttering and not constant microstuttering. Its about interferences between the GPU-output and the monitor-input. I would need to make some scetches to explain that properly. The solution is to get close as possible to a whole-number multiple of your monitor refresh rate. So: GPU output 50fps -> Monitor refresh rate 50hz, 100hz, 150hz... would be the best. In this case you should force the GPU-output to 50 fps. The higher the monitor refresh rate the higher is the fps-range within you can run the programm with avoiding or at least minimizing stuttering. With my GTX1070 I am able to fly with at least 60fps on 60hz refresh rate in all situations over nevada. Completly smooth. But over caucasus I sometimes get 50fps including the microstuttering as you do. Thats way I love Neveda and hate T3-caucasus. Its a totally different feeling.
  3. Three weeks ago they said, they will need at least 2 more months for DCS2.5. Normandy was delayed to 1Q2017. So I would assume DCS2.5 will be released before normandy. This seems to be more likely than one more installation of DCS or a NTTR+Normandy version.
  4. All planes will be available on all maps. Same for all future planes and maps, so far as I know. I highly recommend the A-10C. Its very very complex and if you like modern and ground combat planes, you will have fun with it for few hundreds of hours. And 20 bucks for one of the best modules is a clear message to me :)
  5. Thanks. Now I need to learn russian. I wish I paid more attention in school lessons :)
  6. The question is, are there any geolocks in the keys from russian or korean sides? Couldnt find any informations about that.
  7. Oh, they changed it? I understand, if the user is confused. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/license_warning/ " DCS E-Shop Steam 1C, Gamazavr and YouPlay in Russia Acealpha in South Korea "
  8. ED added some screenshots for the viggen. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/screenshots/873/ Seems like the viggen will go into prepurchase soon.
  10. Of course a free trail period of a week is way too much. No chance that ED would allow that, which is very understandable. Only one time for three hours or something should be enough to insure that the user will not regret any purchase.
  11. See the last posts https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=168684&page=5
  12. No. Maybe I will make an own texture mod but only for DCS 2.5 if its possible. Not earlier.
  13. GTM7.0 is online https://goo.gl/bi9H0H Had to use a link shortener. Original link was blocked for some reason.
  14. I wouldnt expect that soon. It would require a B17-module, which would be very complicated.
  15. The uplift is not proportional to the length of the wing but its proportional to the wing area. So if you lose the half of your wing, you dont lose the half of your wing area/wing uplift. Therefore its of course possible to fly like this.
  16. I was talikng about the AI. I said that I CAN NOT confirm too high plane performance, because I did not make enough multiplayer experience yet to get more accurate impressions.
  17. I dont have the spitfire but I tested it in dogfight with AI: I had no chance. Completly embarrassing to me. Its like the spitfire is on a rope bound to my plane. Not a single change to get it off, when its behind you. Then I tested it with AI vs AI, to see whether its only my fault... Its not. An average Spit vs an ace-P51, Bf or Dora was a fair match. Absolutly overpowered. But I cant say, whether its just the AI or the plane performance itself.
  18. Maybe this was funny for the first 300 times but every joke loses its effect one day :)
  19. I wouldnt be a good teacher. But there are already many many tutorials on youtube. Some even published by the developer of the CAD-programs. Thx.
  20. When I compare the textures before and after the latest updates, it seems to be a missing single level of detail. Assuming there are the Levels 0 to 5 (0 for very low detail for very far renderings and 5 for very close renderings with tiny stones on the texture), the level 3 or 4 or maybe both were deactivated for remachining until they are done. So I guess the details will come back and probably better than before.
  21. I guess a FW190 A8 would be a bit too old for the existing repertoire of planes. But maybe a Ta 152 C would be nice.
  22. It seems as leaning out of the cockpit IS already possible. But unfortunately only for Occulus owners. Watch at 3:00. Now the question is which LUA has to be modified, to make this accessible for TrackIR owners as well.
  23. This shouldnt happen on the Bf109 because this fighter can take very small turns, without getting out of controll. Even smaller than the P51 if my memory is correct. Things may change if you have an additional tank loaded of maybe a bomb or somthing. But it should work if you give maximal thrust plus MW50 plus opened coolers plus slightly extended flaps about 10 degrees. The FW190 is something complete different. Avoid close dog fights, particularly with flat turns. The strength of the 190 is its speed and its climb rate. So if you were hunted by an enemy, get up in the sky with max thrust. The enemy cant follow you and will break away. Then you make a wide turn and try to get above him. Wait for the right moment and than get down on him. At this moment I also use flaps level 1 sometimes. Imagine the Bf is a gamecock and the FW is a kestrel.
