  1. Is there any more current information about this product?
  2. To me, the flames look more like those from a candle, rather than something being spit out of an engine exhaust pipe.
  3. So, if I use two Saitek throttles quadrants, I’ll have two levers for the throttles, two for the props, one for the mixture, and one for flaps or something else. Great. I haven’t flown a twin since the late 70’s, Cessna 310 and 337. Things change. Thanks,
  4. In general aviation twins, the procedure was to lean out the mixture as the cylinder temp goes up, and then back off slightly when the temp starts to fall. I wonder what the procedure was for the Mosquito. Also, there was a mixture lever for each engine. But, I see only one lever on page 74 of the flight manual. So, that lever was for both engines? Strange.
  5. Any news? What’s going on with the P-38?
  6. Got it. Thanks.
  7. I don’t have access to the the module, as yet. Where else can the flight manual be found? If it is in the module, shouldn’t a PDF version be somewhere around? Google doesn’t seem to have it.
  8. “Rear fuselage and tail still attached, undamaged, and where it should be, but a damaged tail section is lying on ground several yards away.” The Anton had the same problem. The Mossie will be fixed, I’m sure.
  9. Yes, I too was satisfied with what grafspee said. I kind of went on to other activities after that.
  10. Yes. But what about the -13? Wasn’t that the question?
  11. I like the idea of using 2 Saitek single engine throttles. I have one old one, already. Switch the knobs around, and it should work, if DCS will let you use two.
  12. I was with VFP-62 Det-38 1966-67. Our sleeping location was under the No 3 wire, and just in front of the cable machines. Would you believe we learned to sleep through the noise? We also built a system of troughs that kept water off our bunks when it rained.
  13. I’m in. The more engines, the better. Signed up last week.
  14. WONDERFUL
  15. Let DCS worry about those, and other details, such as square tails. I am expressing an interest for DCS to consider. Personally, given that no other sim has a nightfighter capability, this seems to be an untapped market. Then again, maybe DCS has done their homework, and found there is not a market worth the investment. None of us knows.
  16. Why couldn’t we have AI Lancasters, AI NF Ju-88 and/or ME-110s, an NF version of our Mosquito, and a night map of the area to be flown over? We already have a JU-88. Add some nightfighter features like radar antenna and guns. A night map of France, the Low Countries and Germany would need to be no more than maybe bodies of water. The cities would be darkened. You can’t see the ground. We have FLAK, already, and add some search lights. Start the missions in the air, to eliminate takeoffs and cut down on total time.
  17. Let’s hear it for the Mosquito nightfighters. Come to think of it. How about a nightfighter version of the Beaufighter?
  18. “I think the Mosquito should be regarded more as a Fighter bomber than a Fighter.“ It should also be regarded as a nightfighter. Hint hint.
  19. How about a vid showing the plane during the day?
  20. As for color and sharpness, they look to me to be about the same. Only the frame rate is higher on the 3080.
  21. See here: https://flyingheritage.org/Explore/The-Collection/Germany/Focke-Wulf-Fw-190-D-13-(Dora).aspx
  22. I had no idea only one -13 was built. What’s also amazing is that it is still in existence. Thanks for the information. SLAG
  23. The 190D is just about my favorite warbird. But I am wondering why ED went with the D-9 rather than the D-13. Is there some history as to the choice? The manual says the D-9 was always just a placeholder until a better version was developed. Is it possible that a D-13, with the inclusion of the nose mounted cannon, would have been too much for the Mustangs and Thunderbolts to handle? Or, was there just more data available for the D-9? Or something else? Thanks, TWC_SLAG
  24. So, at some point, let’s make a nightfighter version relevant. Hell, a week ago, no version of the Mosquito was relevant. If we had a British nightfighter, the C-6 Ju-88 would be great.
  25. And, they already have an AI version they can build on. Oh, and it must have Slage Muzik (sp?)
